OKCPD investigating three deaths, injuries after multiple incidents this weekend

Oklahoma City police are currently investigating three homicides after a series of incidents occurred this weekend. All incidents occurred over roughly six hours from Friday night into Saturday morning. The suspects in two of the incidents remain unknown. The Oklahoman is not publishing the suspects' names because they have not yet been formally charged. Just before 10 p.m. on Friday, OKCPD responded to reports of a person struck by a vehicle. When authorities arrived at the scene at NE 7 and Missouri, they learned Tamireyahna Warren, 16, was at a gathering when a 19-year-old suspect 'intentionally ran Warren over with her vehicle' and fled the scene, according to an OKCPD news release. She later died at an area hospital. The suspect was later arrested during a traffic stop and booked on a first-degree murder complaint. Early Saturday at 12:12 a.m., police responded to a concert hall at S Portland and SW 20 after reports of a fight and large crowd. When officers arrived, it was revealed that Tommy Benson, 48, was struck in the head by a chair. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died, according to OKCPD. No suspects have been identified, nor have any arrests been made. At 4:05 a.m. Saturday, OKC police responded to NW 10 and MacArthur where two victims had been shot. Investigators learned there was an altercation in the parking lot, which led to gunfire. Both victims were transported to a hospital, where one victim was pronounced dead. The status of the second has not been revealed at this time. A third victim showed up at a hospital the following day with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made. The victim's names are currently withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. If anyone has any information regarding the above incidents, OKCPD asks to contact the Homicide Tip Line at 405-297-1200.
