Shoppers praise 'excellent' Ryanair cabin bag perfect for short breaks
A cabin bag with numerous pockets can help keep items well organised while travelling. Having everything from passports to snacks in the right place can prevent frantic searches at the airport. Amazon customers have discovered a compact backpack that features quick-access compartments. The VANKEV Backpack is an ideal travel companion, measuring 40x20x25cm, it complies with Ryanair's stringent free under-seat baggage rules. With a generous 20L capacity, it fits comfortably in overhead compartments or under the seat. Available in a range of colours, the stylish black backpack is currently available for a bargain of just €33.43. Designed with organised travellers in mind, the bag boasts a suitcase-style main compartment and a padded section for laptops up to 14 inches. A variety of additional pockets - including a waterproof pocket, mesh pocket, hidden pocket, side pocket and a quick-access front pocket - also help to keep everything within easy reach. Constructed with high-quality, anti-scratch polyester and sturdy metal zippers, the backpack features ergonomic S-curved shoulder straps with breathable mesh and a multi-layer sponge-padded back panel for extra support. Dual carry handles (top and side) offer flexible carrying options, while the TSA-compliant design unfolds 90–180 degrees for hassle-free airport security checks, reports Bristol Live. The VANKEV backpack is a traveller's dream with its built-in luggage strap that easily attaches to rolling suitcase handles and a secret anti-theft pocket for securing valuables. It even boasts a chest strap for better weight distribution, ensuring your shoulders don't bear the brunt when it's packed to the hilt. For those after an alternative cabin bag style, Amazon's €11.93 Narwey Cabin Bag has become a sensation for its compact size and wallet-friendly price. With a whopping 14,000 reviews, customers rave about its surprisingly roomy interior, likening it to "a Tardis." Cabin Max's Blue Metz 20L Underseat Bag is another trendy option for savvy travellers, retailing at €35.83 in Next and available in various hues. It's earned a stellar 4.7 out of 5-star rating from fashion-forward flyers. Amazon customers who've already bagged the VANKEV backpack are singing its praises, awarding it a 4.5 out of 5-star rating. A satisfied customer said: "Brilliant for underseat. I packed loads into here for a 4 night trip and still didn't wear everything. Lots of compartments, can pack nice and tight and small." Another happy buyer commented: "As described, beautiful colour, great design, very good quality and multi function pockets. Love the different ways to carry it. Very comfortable too. Highly recommend." One chuffed customer raved: "Excellent cabin bag. Perfect for a short break or even a week in the sun plenty of pockets." However, not all feedback was glowing, with one buyer voicing their dissatisfaction about the build quality: "The bag seemed promising but fell short in quality. The material feels flimsy, and the zippers don't glide smoothly, making me worry about its durability. While it fits under the seat and accommodates my 15.6-inch laptop, the lack of padding is concerning for protecting electronics." On the whole, shoppers appear to be quite taken with this nifty backpack from Amazon. A gleaming five-star review captured the sentiment: "Best small rucksack I have ever bought! It's the perfect size and has lots of pockets to store stuff separately in. I was a bit worried about the colour and the material being more plastic and cheap-looking, but it looks really stylish. It's very light when it's on your back. It easily fits under the seat in front on the plane." Why Fans Don't Think Billie Piper Is The New Doctor
Doctor Who fans across the world were gagged on Saturday night when Billie Piper made an unexpected return to the franchise. After weeks of speculation about whether Ncuti Gatwa 's time as The Doctor was coming to an end in the not-too-distant future, the most recent finale saw his character regenerating, after two seasons at the helm of the Tardis. What few could have foreseen would be that his character would regenerate into what appears to be a new incarnation of The Doctor, played by Billie Piper. Billie Piper IS the new Doctor 💙💫 #DoctorWho — Andrew McBride (@andrewmcb) May 31, 2025 @andrewmcb / Via Billie, of course, already has a long history with Doctor Who, starring in the role of Rose Tyler when the reboot first began airing 20 years ago. The Olivier winner's unexpected appearance led to a wide array of pretty much every reaction possible on social media, and a slew of headlines hailing her arrival as The Sixteenth Doctor. However, other fans are not convinced it's as simple as that. At the end of the first season of the Doctor Who revival, Rose ended up absorbing the heart of Tardis, becoming a new omniscient entity known as 'Bad Wolf'. Billie most recently appeared in Doctor Who for its 50th anniversary special, this time playing a different being altogether, known as 'The Moment'. So, given the fact that Billie has repeatedly popped up in the long-running sci-fi saga as a variety of different entities – not everyone in the Whovian fandom believes that her latest appearance necessarily means she's the new Doctor. Tellingly, her appearance in the final credits says simply 'introducing Billie Piper' rather than 'introducing Billie Piper as The Doctor', which is traditionally the terminology used when ushering in a new incarnation of the Time Lord… I didn't see one of these yesterday with everyone from Modern Who so I made one myself. Showrunner Russell T Davies also said: 'Billie once changed the whole of television, back in 2005, and now she's done it again! 'It's an honour and a hoot to welcome her back to the TARDIS, but quite how and why and who is a story yet to be told. After 62 years, the Doctor's adventures are only just beginning!' The Doctor has previously regenerated into a familiar face once before, when Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth became a new version of the Time Lord, played by David Tennant in his second stint in charge of the Tardis. It's not yet clear whether a new season of Doctor Who is currently on the cards, with tabloid speculation about the show being 'rested' at the end of its latest run. Last month, a BBC spokesperson told HuffPost UK: 'As we have previously stated, the decision on season three will be made after season two airs and any other claims are just pure speculation.'

Ncuti Gatwa addresses Doctor Who exit as he's replaced by Billie Piper
Ncuti Gatwa has released a statement after it was announced that Billie Piper is to replace him in . The Sex Education and Barbie star portrayed the Doctor for 18 episodes from 2023-2025. Former pop star Piper played Rose Tyler, assistant to Christopher Eccleston's Doctor, across 32 episodes from 2005-2006, making special appearances in 2008 and 2010. Addressing the cast change, former Attitude cover star Gatwa said (as per The Independent): 'You know when you get cast, at some point, you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. 'This journey has been one that I will never forget and a role that will be part of me forever. There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe.' The 32-year-old went on: 'The fans are truly the final character and beating heart of this show and I can't thank the Whoniverse, and the Whovians, enough for welcoming me in, and making this such a touching experience. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ncuti Gatwa (@ncutigatwa) 'I've loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. I'll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor.' Speaking in an Instagram post, Gatwa also said: 'Monsters, goblins, gods, human-eating Slugs, invisible brain altering creatures, evil barbers, conspiracy theorists… you've had quite a busy two years. Well done and rest up son.' Gatwa's final appearance as the Doctor was Saturday's finale (31 May). Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies meanwhile said in his own statement: 'What a Doctor! Thank you, Ncuti! As his final words say, this has been an absolute joy, and the team in Cardiff and everyone who has worked on this show for the past few years, are so lucky to have been part of Ncuti's great adventure as he shoots off to stratospheric new heights. 'Billie once changed the whole of television, back in 2005, and now she's done it again! It's an honour and a hoot to welcome her back to the Tardis, but quite how and why and who is a story yet to be told. After 62 years, the Doctor's adventures are only just beginning!'
