Sarah Jessica Parker Absolutely Loves This £20 Lip-Plumping Treatment
Sarah Jessica Parker is not an influencer - or so she says. Taking to Instagram yesterday, the Sex And The City and And Just Like That star (new season incoming) posted a video, her blue polished nails twirling a lip product to camera. The caption? 'I am not an influencer. I am just the 'appliquee' Thank you @elaineoffers, the connector.' The 'connector' in question is Parker's on and off-screen make-up artist Elaine Offers Woulard, who the actress often credits with introducing her to new and exciting beauty buys. Wouldard's latest recommendation is Tarte's Maracuju Juicy Lip Plumper, £20 which is designed to mimic the effects of a lip plumping injection - no filler necessary. Made with fatty acid and vitamin C rich maracuji oil, just a swipe supposedly works to smooth and soften parched lips. It's this increase in moisture that creates the plumping effect - and all without that dreaded tingle. As well as plumping and moisturising, there's the promise of colour too - available in six beautiful shades, each are sheer, balmy and beautiful - think a soft, delicate flush of pigment that feels effortlessly chic and very Carrie Bradshaw. It's no surprise that SJP is a fan, really. She's partial to a subtle look when it comes to make-up - natural, dewy complexion and complementing petal toned-lips and cheeks, though she does love a smoky eye. Woulard previously revealed that she used beauty brand Merit on Parker both on and off-screen, which is well known for its pared-back, minimalist approach. And then there was her favourite lip gloss. BTS images of Parker on the set of And Just Like That revealed how she regularly applied the Dior Addict Stellar Gloss, £31, again confirming her love for a sheen-laden lip. Needless to say that despite her protestations to the contrary, SJP is very much an influencer - especially if the comments are anything to go by. Lawmakers draft bill to reassemble Marine Commission, current commissioner voice concerns
The Lake Norman Marine Commission is slated to be dismantled by July 1. But some have safety concerns, so some lawmakers are stepping in. Lawmakers drafted a bill during a committee meeting last week to update and refurbish the old commission, creating a new one with more authority, according to Senator Vickie Sawyer. She told lawmakers that with the revisions, two counties would have to vote to dismantle the commission, not just one. It would also add four commissioners to the existing five. Channel 9's Hunter Sáenz spoke with Jeff Tarte, the former mayor of Cornelius and former state senator, who helped facilitate the bill and has lived on the lake for decades. 'This clarifies and adds specificity to the real authorities and responsibilities of the Marine Commission going forward,' he said. Still, current Marine Commissioners have concerns. Commissioner David Scott told Sáenz last month that he has concerns, including lake safety, water quality, and maintenance. 'The Wild West, deaths will go up, I believe,' Scott said. He also questioned law enforcement's ability to patrol, worried about jurisdictional boundaries. But Tarte said patrols will remain in place. 'Everything will be fine, even if the marine commission didn't exist,' he said. 'Their ability to patrol the lake changes not one iota.' If the bill passes, the counties surrounding the lake would still need to work together to form the commission. Tarte said he hopes that could happen by July 4. 'The main thing is, most of it is common sense,' he said.

Well, we are, and things are about to get ~complex-ion~. You've got some tough decisions in this section with various options for foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, and pressed face powder — and you can only pick one. 😩 Tarte The Shape Tape creamy concealer is quite popular, offering full matte-finish coverage with built-in eye cream for 24-hour moisturizing. Or, you can give your skin an extra boost of love with the skincare-infused creaseless creamy concealer, which features caffeine, niacinamide, cloudberry, and more.
