2025 Tata Punch Facelift Snapped Testing In India, Here's What To Expect
Tata Motors is working on the facelifted iteration of the Punch. It has been spotted testing on Indian roads on multiple occasions, which suggests that the launch is right around the corner. Recently, a camouflaged version of the Tata Punch facelift has been spied, which gives a glimpse of the changes the SUV will possess on the exterior and interior. The launch could happen sometime around the festive season this year. 2025 Tata Punch Facelift: Exterior Expected Tata Punch was launched way back in 2021, and it is the first time that the SUV will be getting a major update. While the facelifted version was expected to get some exterior design revisions, the recently spotted test mule suggests that Tata is going to retain most of the exterior elements from its current model on sale. Though a few changes are expected to be seen on the front-end, including a new grille and revised LED headlamp setup. More details of the Tata Punch facelift will be revealed once it is unveiled officially. Tata Punch facelift spied testing Credit: rushlane 2025 Tata Punch Facelift: Interior Expected The interior of the sub-compact SUV, revealed in the images, shows a few changes. The spy shots reveal that the 2025 Punch will get a refreshed dashboard. The other interior elements of the Punch facelift include- 10.25-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, a 7-inch TFT console, and more. 2025 Tata Punch Facelift: Powertrain Expected Tata is likely to offer the same engine and powertrain options for the facelifted Punch as seen in the current model. It is expected to get a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine, which is capable of pushing out a peak power and torque output of 86 bhp and 113 Nm. Also, it is expected to retain the CNG option that churns out 73.4 bhp and 103 Nm. Transmission options could include a 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT.

However, these are retrofitted CNG kits that will be installed at the dealer level. While the auto giant sees the C3 as rival to premium hatchbacks like Maruti Baleno and others, the pricing of the C3 has pitched it right up against the likes of Tata Punch. Both the cars offer similar stance, almost like baby SUVs, and offer similar features in terms of styling, powertrain among others. Interested buyers can get the kits installed at an additional price of ₹ 93,000 across authorised Citroën dealerships in the country. Citroen C3 vs Tata Punch iCNG: Specs The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine of the Citroen C3 makes a modest 81 bhp and 115 Nm of torque paired with a five-speed gearbox. While the company has not disclosed the actual power output with CNG option, expect some power drop for the CNG variants. The company says the factory-tested kits deliver mileage up to 28.1 km/kg. On CNG, the power output falls to 72.39 bhp whereas the torque output decreases to 103 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. Hyundai offers benefits up to ₹75,000 on Venue, Exter and Grand i10 NIOS models
The Hyundai Venue is available with benefits of up to ₹ 75,000 as part of this promotion. Its prices start at ₹ 7.94 lakh and can reach ₹ 13.62 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom. The Venue is offered in seven variants with three engine options. It features a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. Additionally, there is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine offering 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. The 1.2-litre engine comes with a five-speed manual transmission, while the turbo engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. A 1.5-litre diesel engine is also available, yielding 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque with a six-speed manual gearbox. The Exter , a popular micro SUV from Hyundai, competes with models like the Tata Punch . Currently, it offers the lowest benefits among the three, providing ₹ 55,000 off the ex-showroom price. The SUV is priced between ₹ 5.99 lakh and ₹ 10.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Exter is equipped with a 1.2-litre Kappa, 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque, with a choice of a five-speed manual or AMT transmission. An optional CNG variant is also available, producing 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque and featuring dual-cylinder CNG technology for enhanced cargo capacity. Discounts are also being offered on the Grand i10 NIOS hatchback, alongside the Venue and Exter models. As the most affordable of Hyundai's offerings in India, the Grand i10 NIOS is priced between ₹ 5.98 lakh and ₹ 8.38 lakh (ex-showroom), with current benefits reaching up to ₹ 65,000. The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS features a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 81 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 113.8 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a smart automatic AMT.

Highest Selling SUVs in FY'25: Hyundai Creta To Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
In the Indian automotive landscape for FY 2025, compact SUVs have become the preferred choice for consumers. Leading this segment, the Hyundai Creta has achieved the top position in sales, while the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has also shown impressive performance. Let's have a look at the exact units sold: Hyundai Creta In April 2025, well-known SUV models led sales, though some experienced declines compared to last year. The Hyundai Creta topped the charts with 17,016 units sold, marking a 10 percent increase from April 2024. It was followed by the Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Nexon. Hyundai Creta Mahindra Scorpio The Mahindra Scorpio, popular for its two versions (Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N), sold 15,534 units in April, a five percent increase. This helped it secure the second spot among midsize SUVs. Tata Nexon Tata's Nexon secured third place by selling 15,457 units, even though this was a 10 percent drop from the 17,266 units sold in the same period in 2024. Maruti Suzuki Brezza In April 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza sold 16,971 units, down from 17,113 units in April 2024, resulting in a minor 1% decrease YoY. Yet, the Brezza still ranks among the top three best-selling cars in the country. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Maruti's compact crossover, the Fronx, demonstrated steady performance by selling 14,345 units, which is almost the same as the 14258 units sold in April 2024. Tata Punch The Tata Punch, which used to be in the top five, has faced the biggest drop in sales compared to its competitors, with a 35 percent decline from last year. It sold 12,496 units, down from 19,158 units in April 2024. Mahindra Thar The Mahindra Thar experienced a remarkable 74 percent increase in sales, achieving 10,703 units in April 2025, up from 6,106 units in April 2024. The availability of the Roxx has significantly contributed to boosting its sales numbers in recent months. Hyundai Venue While Hyundai takes the lead with its Creta, The Hyundai Venue lands seventh on this list with 7,953 units sold in April 2025, a 13 percent decrease compared to 9,120 units during the same month last year. Mahindra XUV 3XO The Mahindra XUV 3XO reached ninth place on the list, with sales jumping 89 percent over the past year, totaling 7,568 units in April 2025. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara secured the tenth position on the list, reporting sales of 7,154 units in April, which represents a six percent decrease from the previous year.
