Tyla unveils release date for her highly anticipated single 'Bliss'

South Africa superstar Tyla Seethal is set to release a new song titled 'Bliss'. Image: X New Tyla alert! The Met Gala is not the only occasion the 23-year-old superstar is gearing up for. Tyla has revealed the release date for her new single, 'Bliss'. The 'Water' hit-maker first previewed the song at her 2025 Coachella debut and later hinted at the single's arrival through a recent collaboration with Erewhon, where she launched a limited-edition smoothie, which was also called 'Bliss'. The smoothie, which is not only a tasty treat but also a way to give back, supports 18twenty8, an organisation empowering girls in South Africa through education and personal development strategies. The partnership with Erewhon may have been a subtle nod to her upcoming music release. Tyla has previously expressed her excitement to share her new music with the world, and it is clear that she's been working hard to create something special. Last year, in an interview with Coke Studio, the 23-year-old singer shared how she wanted to break away from her original sound when she released 'Tears', a single in collaboration with Coke Studio. With 'Tears', she showcased her enchanting vocals, revealing a more vulnerable side that is different from her previous work. Breaking away from the amapiano and pop sound that she is best known for, Tyla may be embarking on an exciting new journey with 'Bliss', and it is only a matter of time until fans get to experience it. The Grammy Award-winning singer also featured on 'Show Me Love', a single by South African artist WizTheMc. Tyla's part in the collaboration has taken the song to greater heights as it has since gone viral on TikTok, also topping the music charts. Video Player is loading. Tyla's upcoming song marks her first solo release since her debut album. With her previous hits and critically acclaimed debut album, her upcoming release is expected to make waves in the music industry. In a Billboard Women in Music interview, Tyla announced that she will release a new album later this year. 2025 is about to be yet another Tyla-filled year. As the release date approaches, fans are eagerly awaiting the music. Will it be a continuation of her previous work, or a bold new direction? One thing is certain: Tyla's 'Bliss' is a highly anticipated release set to showcase her versatility. With 'Bliss' set to drop on Friday, May 9, fans won't have to wait much longer to experience Tyla's latest creation.

A beauty writer's guide to the best perfumes for spring: including new-in fragrances I can't stop wearing

Spring doesn't just call for a wardrobe refresh – it's the perfect time for a scent shake-up, too. I'm packing away the heavy, wintery ouds and musks, and reaching for perfumes that feel like sunshine in a bottle: think juicy citrus, soft florals and crisp sea salt notes. Luckily, there are plenty of new seasonal releases that tick all of my boxes and mirror the bright and breezy springtime vibes. Whether you're after floral and feminine or fruity and fresh, here are seven of the best to shop now. The seven best spring scents to shop now Cos Fleuriste Eau de Parfum High-street hero Cos has just launched its first fragrance line, which, like everything else it sells, is fantastic. For spring, I'm shopping Fleuriste: a floral and bright scent energised with bright Hesperides and balanced with musky and woody undertones. £75 Shop Phlur Rose Whip Eau de Parfum Like a perfume that packs more of a punch? This new scent by Phlur is a heavier take on spring florals with rose and blackcurrant, and base notes of amber and musk. Wear it on your next date night – it's super seductive. £99 Shop Discothèque Sweat, Tears, Paradise Eau de Parfum Cult favourite brand Discothèque is loved by celebs like Kate Moss and Madonna, specialising in fragrances that smell like infamous nightclubs. For spring, I'd shop its Sweat, Tears, Paradise perfume: inspired by Mykonos' clifftop Cavo Paradiso, there's samphire, sea salt and mimosa that'll transport you to the beach. £96 Shop Jo Malone Beach Blossom Cologne This limited edition Jo Malone scent has beauty editors raving. It's summery (coconut water) but not too sweet, balanced with fresh lime and mint, and deepened with tonka bean. It has impressive staying power and is one I'll definitely be taking on holiday. £86 Shop Byredo Blanche Absolu de Parfum I'm a huge fan of Byredo's uber-fresh Gypsy Water, along with pretty much every other influencer on social media. But its new Blanche formula might just tempt me: initial musky intensity gives way to a strong floral heart with punchy black pepper. Think of a warm, crisp spring day. £190 Shop Who Is Elijah Ocean Eyes Eau de Parfum This fragrance by Sofia Richie's go-to brand smells like 'sun, sweat and sex, in the best way'. In layman's terms, that's grapefruit, orange, sea water and juniper over a base of musk and amberwood. It's basically the beach in a bottle and I'm obsessed. £105 Shop

Alabama veterinarian clinic will neuter a pet in honor of your ex for Valentine's Day

You have an ex and Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Sure, you could buy yourself a 'World's Worst Ex' shirt or mug with black roses, a cracked heart, and his or her photo on it. If you don't burn or smash it, odds are it'll sit around your house collecting dust until you finally throw it away. Or you could do something that's both funny and useful for the small business community, and get a unique keepsake. In honor of February being Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, the Alabama Animal Alliance Spay/Neuter Clinic in Montgomery, Ala. has a fundraiser campaign: 'Neuter Your Ex: Because Some Things Should Never Breed.' 'It's the second year we've done it,' said Rachel Tears, AAASNC's founder and director. No, this isn't an event you can use to get a personal cat fixed. Tears said it's a fundraiser for the clinic, with tax-deductible donations of $25 requested. If you want to donate more, they'd be grateful. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle. 'For anything that's donated, there can't be goods or services that are given in response,' she said. 'But individuals who make a donation, much like anyone who make a donation to our clinic, receive an acknowledgement card.' The card the clinic sends will say that a procedure was done in honor of your ex, whoever that may be. Your ex doesn't have to be an ex-romantic person. 'It could be an ex-hairdresser who left you with a bad haircut. It could be an ex-boss,' Tears said. In fact, it doesn't have to be someone you know personally at all. 'We've even had requests to neuter some elected officials,' Tears said. 'Elon Musk has been a request. Someone has requested that we neuter a cat in honor of (Sean "P Diddy" Combs, the rapper). It's been very comical, and it's raised a lot of awareness.' More Valentine's Day news:Romance scammers are prowling this Valentine's Day. How to protect yourself. You can also donate on behalf of a friend. 'We will send a Happy Valentine's Day card to your friend saying that a cat was neutered in honor of your recent heartbreak,' Tears said. The clinic is hoping to raise $5,000. Tears said the funds will go toward clinic procedures for cats and dogs, male and female. 'Those funds go to our clinic to help keep costs affordable, so more individuals can have their pets spayed or neutered,' Tears said. Similar fundraisers are being used at spay and neuter clinics across the nation, Tears said. Normally, it's $50 to neuter a male cat, and $70 for a female cat. The costs includes surgery, anesthesia, pain medications, antibiotic and a follow-up visit. If your cat isn't current on its rabies vaccination, AAASNC can provide that for $15. 'We already have individuals who have appointments, and those cats are already scheduled to be neutered,' said Tears. However, Tears said most pet owners the clinic deals with are Medicaid or food stamp recipients who are having pets fixed for $10. The donations are especially helpful to keep providing care for low-income pet owners, Tears said, 'We are going on our 18th year of surgeries, and we've done more than 130,000 surgeries,' she said. 'We know that this works. We've got less animals being handed over to the shelters. Less animals being euthanized.' There's a reason male cats are the focus of this fundraiser. The goal is to put an end to pet homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia, Tears said. 'Male cats are the most efficient reproducers,' Tears said. 'They can reproduce multiple times a day, day in and day out. Yet, that surgery is the least demanded surgery for our clinic. Most people are focusing on having their females fixed or their male dogs, long before they think about male cats.' Call 334-239-7387 or visit for more information. 'Anyone who wants to have their pet fixed is welcome to make an appointment,' Tears said. 'Appointments can be made on our website or by calling the clinic.'
