Thousands donated to mountain rescue team after search
A mountain rescue team has received more than £7,000 since the conclusion of the search for a missing 23-year-old Hall, from Tow Law, County Durham was last seen leaving her home on 18 February with her body found on Sunday after five days of searching areas around Eggleston and Sunday, Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team (TWSMRT) has been inundated with donations from the Ascroft, deputy team leader for TWSMRT, said the team was "incredibly touched". The search for Ms Hall focused on the running trails she often used and her body was found in a very remote area in Teesdale just after 09:30 GMT on Police said it was not treating her death as suspicious and a file was being prepared for the ended up bringing in 15 other mountain rescue teams from across the country to support the search alongside the force. Ms Ascroft said there had been a "huge emotional impact" on the team which volunteers were "all trying to catch up with now"."We are always relived to be able to provide closure for the families on these kind of jobs," she deputy team leader, who also works as an accountant, said some team members took three days off of work to focus on the search. She said the donations had been "absolutely incredible", with it costing about £50,000 a year to run the donations are set to pay for a new stretcher and free up team members from fundraising to focus on helping people."We have been incredibly touched by both the support we had last week, the trust people placed in us and also the donations we have had in the last 48 hours," she said. Rescue teams to continue into fifth day of searching for missing Jenny Hall
Searches for missing Tow Law woman Jenny Hall are set to continue into their fifth day. The 23-year-old has been missing since Tuesday (February 18), when she was last seen leaving her County Durham home just after 3pm. Mountain rescue teams have been scouring remote moorland between Eggleston and Stanhope and running trails over the last few days after her car - a red Ford Focus - was found parked on the B6278 on Wednesday. Durham Constabulary said teams had covered more than 100 miles of land so far in the search for Jenny, and on Friday turned their focus to regular running trails. The Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team, which has been involved alongside several other rescue teams, has issued an update on the fourth day of searching this evening (Saturday, February 22). They said: 'The team have spent a fourth day searching for Jenny Hall. 'We have had significant assistance from other mountain rescue teams and in total we have had seven mountain rescue drones, 10 mountain rescue dogs and more than 60 mountain rescue volunteers assisting today. 'We will continue to search tomorrow. Many thanks to Penrith Mountain Rescue Team, Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team and Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team for the drones. 'Many thanks to Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team, Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team, Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team for completing the foot searches and supporting the dog teams. Digital intelligence officers have checked Ms Hall's mobile phone, smartwatch and running apps, but have found no leads. Mr Haythornthwaite said: 'We have become increasingly concerned for Jenny since she was reported missing on Tuesday and have been exploring all lines of inquiry.' Anyone who believes they may have seen Jenny or has any relevant information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999.

"The terrain is muddy and boggy."The 2,000ha (4,942 acre) forest is the largest in County Durham.A spokesperson for TWSMRT previously thanked the public for offers of help, but individuals were advised not to try and assist as it could "hamper the systematic search". Motorbike officers, specialised sniffer dogs and air support drones have also been involved in the search so far. Digital intelligence officers have conducted extensive inquiries into her mobile phone, smart watch and running apps, but none have yielded any results, the force said. Jenny was last seen leaving her home at Barracks Farm, Tow Law, in her red Ford Focus just after 15:00 GMT on Monday. The mountain rescue team and Durham Police searched an area of moorland between Eggleston and Stanhope from Wednesday morning until nightfall. Jenny is described as white, 6ft (1.8m) tall and has very long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie with a John Deere logo and dark jogging bottoms. Fifteen team members and three search dogs from the TWSMRT were joined by a further 20 volunteers and two search dogs from neighbouring teams. The search will continue in the same area.
