Licensed Surveyor Trainees Receive Kits from Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana in Gadwal

Gadwal: In an effort to strengthen land rights documentation and ensure transparency in land records management, the Telangana State Government has initiated the training of licensed surveyors. As a part of this initiative, Additional District Collector Mr. Lakshmi Narayana distributed training kits to surveyor trainees on Tuesday. The distribution took place at the IDOC (Integrated District Offices Complex) in the chamber of the Additional Collector, in line with the directives issued by the District Collector. Addressing the gathering, the Additional Collector stated that the government has launched the licensed surveyor program with the objective of maintaining land records in a transparent and accountable manner. He emphasized that the kits being provided to the trainees would play a crucial role in enhancing their practical skills. 'The training program includes both theoretical sessions and practical field training. I urge all candidates to dedicate themselves fully to learning the techniques and tools of land surveying,' he said. He further explained that under the 'Bhoobharati' Act, survey maps have become mandatory for processes such as land registration and mutation. Hence, there is a growing demand for licensed surveyors, particularly in rural areas. Mr. Lakshmi Narayana also noted that those who successfully complete the training program will be required to pass an examination, after which they will be issued a Licensed Surveyor Certificate. He encouraged the trainees to make the most of this opportunity, which could pave the way for promising careers in land management and public service. The event was attended by Survey and Land Records Department Assistant Director Mr. Ram Chander, several trainee candidates, and other officials.

Licensed Surveyor Training Begins in Jogulamba Gadwal to Resolve Land Disputes and Enhance Rural Employment

Gadwal: Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santosh emphasized that the introduction of licensed surveyors will not only help resolve land disputes efficiently but also create new employment opportunities in rural areas. He made these remarks on Monday while participating in a training program for licensed surveyors held at the MPDO office in the district headquarters. Addressing the gathering, the Collector highlighted the Telangana State Government's flagship initiative—Bhoobharathi Land Rights Record Act, 2025—which has been implemented to streamline the resolution of land-related issues. As part of the government's efforts to offer better services to landowners and farmers, trained and licensed surveyors are being brought into the system. Under the Bhoobharathi Act, it has become mandatory to conduct a land survey and attach the relevant map for processes such as land registration and mutation. In this regard, the government has initiated the selection and training of licensed surveyors to meet the new legal requirements. The Collector informed that 281 candidates across the district will undergo a 50-day training program starting from May 26, organized by the Department of Survey and Land Records. The training includes both theoretical sessions and fieldwork, ensuring participants gain practical skills necessary for accurate land surveys. He advised the trainees to take full advantage of the opportunity, stressing that field performance depends on a clear understanding of theoretical concepts. Daily attendance is mandatory, and there will be no holidays during the training period. A final examination will be conducted at the end of the training, and those who pass will be awarded Licensed Surveyor Certificates. Collector Santosh encouraged all participants to make the most of this opportunity, noting that the deployment of licensed surveyors will significantly reduce land disputes and provide valuable livelihood options for people in rural communities. The event was attended by Survey and Land Records Assistant Director Ram Chander, trainees, and other officials.

Hyderabad artisans create handcrafted bangles for Miss World 2025 contestants

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 11 (ANI): A family of traditional bangle artisans from Hyderabad's historic Charminar district has captured global attention after designing and crafting personalised handmade bangles for contestants of the Miss World 2025 pageant. With over a century of expertise in the art of bangle-making, the family has created custom bangles adorned with each contestant's photograph, an artistic tribute blending personal touch with cultural legacy. The family, whose craft has been passed down through generations, aims to present the bangles as gifts to all Miss World participants. Speaking about the initiative, a family member shared that this gesture is intended to showcase Hyderabad's rich tradition and bring attention to India's enduring heritage of handicrafts. Seeking government support for their initiative, the artisans have reached out to the Telangana State Government and the Department of Tourism, requesting assistance in delivering the handcrafted bangles to the contestants during the event. The gesture is being viewed as a heartfelt cultural contribution to the prestigious pageant, which is being hosted in Telangana for the first time. Hyderabad is currently hosting the 72nd edition of the Miss World beauty pageant, with the inaugural ceremony held on May 10 at the National Sports Authority of Telangana. The event marks a significant milestone for the state, as Telangana welcomes delegates and contestants from around the globe. Elaborate preparations have been made by the state government to ensure a smooth and secure inauguration. National flags of the participating countries have been raised outside the venue, while police and security personnel, including Indian soldiers, were seen on patrol in and around the location. Authorities have tightened surveillance amid regional tensions between India and Pakistan, to ensure the safety of all attendees. Amidst the celebration, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and Telangana Jagruti President, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, has called for the postponement of the event. Highlighting the ongoing conflict situation between India and Pakistan, Kavitha expressed concern over the appropriateness of hosting an international pageant during a time of heightened national security concerns. She drew parallels to the recent postponement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and urged the state government to demonstrate restraint and responsibility. 'This is a time for wisdom,' she said, warning that going ahead with the pageant could 'send the wrong message' amid a war-like atmosphere. Despite the political discourse, the city remains abuzz with excitement and pride as it hosts the grand celebration of beauty, talent, and culture on an international stage. The Miss World 2025 grand finale is scheduled to take place on May 31. (ANI)
