Inside new mum Michelle Keegan's glam solo trip as she parties night away
Actress Michelle Keegan let loose as she headed to the star-studded Cannes Film Festival where she partied the night away with her pals and went on a lavish shopping spree Michelle Keegan looked incredible as she soaks up the sun in Cannes for the lavish film festival on her getaway just two months after giving birth. The actress, 37, flew to the French Riviera for the star-studded event as she put on a very glam display. She has been giving her fans a glimpse into the highlife as she rocked a boxy white blazer with black trim and gold detailing. Michelle added a pair of matching hotpants and finished her look off with a cross-body Chanel bag. The new mum, who welcomed baby Palma in March with husband Mark Wright, appeared to have headed out on the trip solo. She joined her pals instead for the trip with L'Oreal. The Ten Pound Poms star was treated to a glitzy dinner on her first night, where she was entertained by a live band who walked around the room. Michelle managed to get plenty of rest, however, as she showed off her skincare routine before hopping into her crisp white bed. The former Coronation Street actress tucked into pastries for breakfast before treating herself to a designer shopping spree. However, it was soon back to work as she shared a snap of her glam supplies ahead of another night on the town. Despite Palma missing out on a trip to Cannes, she has already been living a jet setting life. Michelle and Mark headed to London last month for their baby girl's first time in the Big Smoke. They made sure she was surrounded by nothing but luxury as Palma was treated to her first visit at the five-star Corinthia London hotel, as the trio continued to spend precious time together. Michelle documented their break with a series of stunning snaps as she appeared radiant while pushing Palma in her luxury pram that's considered to be the 'Ferrari' of the pushchair world. The TV star made her way around the capital in a tan jacket, beige trousers and trainers with Palma in tow. Proud mum Michelle added personal touches to her look as she wore a necklace of her daughter's name as well as another chain that featured three letter 'P's. Palma also got into the personalised spirit as she was treated to a bathrobe from the hotel with her name embroidered in pink. It didn't stop there as Michelle also treated the new mum and daughter to matching mugs that sweetly read 'Palma's Mama' and 'Palma' on the inside. Just a few weeks ago, Mark, 38, had expressed his joy at being able to bring his daughter to work. He shared a video of himself in the Heart FM studio with Palma nestled on his chest. He told listers at the time: "I've got a very special moment happening right now to me. I'm doing the show to you on Heart. I love being here, I love playing the songs like Amy Winehouse on the way and Jessie J. But at the same time, I have got my baby Palma in my arms." He added: "It is the first time I've brought her to work. I mean, it's only been five weeks, so you'd think so. But it's just the best feeling ever."

‘Easy elegance' – Michelle Keegan showcases sun-soaked summer collection
FOR EVERYONE | New mum Michelle Keegan says she's done chasing trends and knows her own style, and her new collection is giving easy elegance for summer 2025. Michelle wears Michelle Keegan x Very crochet sequin tank €58 and crochet sequin trousers €78 'A denim skirt, fake Burberry tights, patent flats, and a white Nike hoodie,' she recalls, when quizzed about her more questionable teenage outfits. 'Why my mum let me leave the house like that, I don't know!' she laughs, speaking from her elegant Essex home. These days, fashion faux pas are a distant memory. The Coronation Street alumnus is not only at the top of her game style-wise — she's also embracing a major new chapter. In March, she and husband Mark Wright, welcomed their first child, Palma Elizabeth Wright, into the world and the star is relishing her role as a new mum. Knit bandeau embellished side dress €70 Tailored waistcoat €45 and bermuda shorts €36 Knitted striped shirt €58 and striped trouser €58 (below) . But even amid the sleep-deprived chaos of new motherhood, the starlet hasn't missed a beat. Her just-launched 44-piece summer collection for is her most sun-soaked and swoon-worthy to date. 'We were planning it back at Christmas,' reveals the fashion icon excitedly. 'We look at catwalk trends, colours, fabrics — and then create pieces that work in real life. That's always the goal.' This season, that goal translates to breezy crochet co-ords, sheer knits, linen separates, and that one strapless yellow maxi dress that's already poised to sell out. 'It's just so easy,' says the down-to-earth star. 'With a tan, some flip-flops, a little bag — you're done. I'm also obsessed with this oatmeal linen trouser set — it comes with a crochet boob tube. It's that easy elegance I always go for.' The challenge was creating a range that appealed to everyone, but as usual, the Stockport-born actress has nailed the brief with day-to-night styling to pieces that suit every age. 'My cousin's 16 and wears the range, and so does my mum. That's what I love about it,' she says, adding: 'We've designed it with everyone in mind.' Printed shirt €38 and trousers €38 Tailored waistcoat €45 and bermuda shorts €36 The Ten Pound Poms star has also undergone a style evolution, truly leaning into what feels good. Gone are the days of fast fashion splurges; now, it's all about a carefully curated capsule wardrobe. 'Wide-leg trousers, great jeans, basic tops — then I elevate it with accessories, a jacket, a belt. I feel comfortable in my own skin and I know what suits me. I don't follow trends blindly anymore — I just wear what makes me feel good,' Michelle says. Asked to describe her own personal style, the actress says: 'Simple, comfortable, and feminine. I used to cha Accessibility, she insists, is also key. 'I've never been someone who's into full designer looks,' she says. 'I have a few designer bags I've collected over time, but honestly, I'm a high street girl. I always have been.' Whether she's dressed down in a tracksuit and topknot – could we love her any more?— or dressed for awards season in floor-grazing gowns and statement earrings, the star's authenticity is a breath of fresh air. 'At home it's all about comfort,' she admits. 'I need something I can lounge in — but also throw on trainers and run to the shop.' Bandeau crochet knitted top €36 Crochet bandeau midaxi €105 Bead detail midi dress €64 Even as she juggles acting, designing, and nappy changes, the star of Netflix smash hit Fool Me Once remains as authentic and grounded as ever. 'I wouldn't call myself a style icon,' she says modestly, 'but it honestly means the world to see people wearing the collection. I spot it on the street all the time — and sometimes I'll ask for a photo! I get so excited.' As for her own fashion muse? 'Rosie Huntington-Whiteley — she's the dream. Everything she wears is just timeless. So classic,' she gushes. Much like Michelle herself, then. You can shop the full collection now which is available exclusively at

Photo of historic lost Edinburgh pub discovered during house renovations in Australia
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info A vintage photograph of two figures standing outside a lost Edinburgh pub has been unearthed during a home renovation more than 10,000 miles away in Australia. Believed to have been taken in the early 1950s, the tattered picture shows a pair of uniformed men posing at the entrance of the long-since-demolished Lord Darnley Tavern in the Canongate. Now, decades on, the well-travelled snap has turned up in the most unlikely of places - behind the wall of a house in the surfer's paradise that is Wollongong, just one hour's drive south of Sydney, Australia. A local woman, Lisa Doherty, rediscovered the photo during renovations to the dwelling, which was originally built in the 1950s to house '£10 poms' migrants from the UK. The migrants were called Ten Pound Poms due to the charge of £10 in processing fees for Brits to start a new life in Oz. Commenting on her find, Lisa said: "I found this in a wall while renovating a house in Australia and thought it might be of interest. It looks like a cool old pub. Shame it's no longer there. "The house that we found the photo in was originally built in the '50s for migrants from the UK. The area used to be called Commonwealth Cottages in Unanderra." While the identity of the two uniformed men in the photo, which has been posted to the Lost Edinburgh page on Facebook, is unknown, it's understood they were officers in the Royal Navy. Writing on Lost Edinburgh, Stephen O'Neil said: "They are two Royal Navy Petty Officers. The badge on the arm denotes which branch, but I can't quite make it out." Situated at the foot of the Canongate, the tenement housing the pub was razed in the 1970s, with the watering hole relocating to the West Port. Others shared their memories of the legendary pub, which displayed a waistcoat purportedly owned in the 1560s by the real Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley, the second husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, and the father of James VI of Scotland and I of England. Andrew McFadden wrote: "First pub I played guitar in with my mate singing early '60s. Lord Darnley's waistcoat was up on the wall in a glass case." Lesley Scott commented: "Incredible. Photo discovered in Wollongong! I remember the Lord Darnley and other treasured buildings in the Canongate with such character, now demolished. I wonder, is one of the uniformed chaps in the photo the former owner of it?" Bobby Robert Frazer added: "What a fantastic photo it brings back some amazing memories to me of my childhood in the Canongate. We lived at Whitehorse Close from 1940 till 1955. The Lord Darnley was a smart looking pub."
