Tanishk Bagchi recalls AR Rahman's reaction to his remix version of 'Humma Humma': 'Original track banane se zyada mushkil hota hai'
Music producer and composer Tanishk Bagchi recently shed light on his journey in the industry and shared his perspective on remixing songs. The musician, known for creating some of Bollywood's most celebrated remixes, spoke about how he feels regarding the label 'Remix King'. He recalled a moment when AR Rahman 's reaction to his 'Humma Humma' remix gave him hope in his talent. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Bagchi reminisced about his first major hit, which was the remix of Humma Humma. When he listened to the popular track, he felt that it was no longer attracting new listeners, so he thought of giving it a fresh spin. Rahman 's response reassured him that his creative instincts were indeed on the right path. 'Rahman Sir ne kaha yeh naya sound hai, bohot simple sound hai. Tab mujhe samajh mein aaya ki mere andar yeh quality hai. Main gaane ko bachaa sakta hoon, spoil hone se.' Addressing the misconception that remixes are merely about updating beats, Tanishk broke down his creative process. Using Tere Bin from Simmba as an example, he explained that his approach is rooted in originality. 'Har gaana jo maine kiya hai, woh scratch se shuru hota hai, starting from the bass. Remix karna, original track banane se zyada mushkil hota hai—yeh sochna ki usse kaise naye tareeke se banayein. Jaise Simmba mein bhi Tere Bin ka remix kiya. Toh bas hook purana tha, Tere Bin Nai Jeena, baaki sab naya tha,' he added. Bagchi described his work as a bridge between the older generation and the younger generation to help them experience music in a more meaningful way. He also spoke about how many people are now creating remixes of old songs and using them for Instagram reels. Tanishk Bagchi recently worked on Emraan Hashmi 's Ground Zero, where he composed music for two songs, 'So Lene De' and 'Lahoo'.

Atif Aslam live in Dubai: See the singer perform for Dh25
Pakistani playback singer and songwriter Atif Aslam is returning to Global Village this weekend, and that means it's time to brush up on his songs. Come Sunday, April 27, you'll be humming (if not singing along) to tracks including Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Jeene Laga Hoon, Woh Lamhe, and Tere Bin. Aslam, who shot to fame with his hit Aadat, melds pop, rock and classical music in his singles. Global Village, Dubai's annual family-friendly globetrotting expedition, is on this year until May 11.
