The director went on to say that when he prepared the story for this film, he thought Vijay Sethupathi would be ideal to play the protagonist. Pandiraj added that the cameraman worked with Vijay Sethupathi previously and was convinced that this script was perfect for the actor. The cameraman had called the actor, and he immediately agreed to work on the film.
