AI Does 50% Work At Salesforce, But Mass Layoffs Not On Cards Yet: CEO Marc Benioff

Artificial Intelligence (AI) performs a lot of work at Salesforce, but the company has no mass lay-off plans yet, CEO Marc Benioff has said. On The Circuit With Emily Chang podcast for Bloomberg, he spoke at length about the transformative power of AI, but added it can either replace humans or enhance them, and he believes in the latter. AI will support and improve human work, instead of taking it away or replacing people completely, he added. With the advancement of AI in the tech industry, Mr Benioff said that some jobs will disappear but new ones will also be created. He explained that Salesforce has already undergone major changes, such as thousands of employees in his company being given new roles and there being a pause on hiring engineering jobs for now. According to Fortune, in the first quarter, the San Francisco-based software company has redeployed more than 50 percent of the people already working with them, he said. His company has created an AI tool that can do tasks like customer service without human supervision with 93 percent accuracy, Mr Benioff said. Humans have led to the formation of some of the greatest innovations and also created several businesses that seek to solve real-world problems, he said. They possess a "superpower" that AI lacks, which is the capacity to show empathy or establish genuine connections with others, Mr Benioff added, reported Fortune. "All of us have to get our heads around this idea that AI can do things that we were doing, he added, stating, "We can move on to do higher-value work." Apple iPod founder Tony Fadell also stressed the importance of being hands-on with the tools, instead of just learning about them in theory. He said that companies nowadays are not hiring freshers like they used to but are looking for those who already have experience. He said that junior-level jobs, like entry-level or fresher jobs, in all industries are at high risk as businesses are no longer willing to spend time training freshers or interns. Last month, Mr Benioff said that AI does up to 50 percent of all work at Salesforce, including critical tasks like customer service, development, and engineering. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated in May that 20 percent to 30 percent of the company's code was generated by Artificial Intelligence. In April, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said more than 30 percent of his company's coding work was done by Artificial Intelligence. In May, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that within the next 12 to 18 months, AI will soon be doing most of the coding work for his company's Llama Project. Currently, AI can help in auto-completing a section of code and soon will become even better than the top coders, he added.

Why Hailey Bieber's ‘Eau d'Nepo' Perfume Is Trending

Veteran model is once again in the trends after she shared a humorous remark regarding her favorite perfume. In a recent interactive interview, Justin Bieber's spouse revealed the contents of her personal handbag, including a hand cream, some books, a sleeping eye mask, and more. Among the stuff was a customized perfume bottle with the title, 'Eau d'Nepo.' But what is the significance behind this name? Here's everything you need to know regarding Bieber's recent revelation about her preferred cologne. On May 20, the Rhode founder appeared for an interview that involved disclosing the items of her Saint Laurent bag. Vogue took to YouTube to share the conversation with Hailey Bieber, titled 'In the Bag.' Around the 43-second mark, she takes out a pink perfume bottle with the label Eau d'Nepo. Bieber introduces it to the audience by saying, 'This is my favorite perfume. I've basically been wearing this all my life. I'm obsessed with it. It smells really vanilla. It's really gorgeous.' Check out the interview below: In reality, there is no such brand of fragrances as Eau d'Nepo. Instead, the name of the perfume seems to be a play on the popularized notion that Bieber has nepotism to thank for her immensely successful career. The model's description of the cologne seems to suggest that she was taking a jibe at this perception. This is mainly due to Bieber being the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin. She notes, 'It really does all the work for you without you having to do anything. Very effortless.' While Bieber's supposed response to people adding the nepotism tag on her by showing her cleverly-named perfume has resulted in 'Eau d'Nepo' topping the trends charts, it isn't the first time that the 28-year-old celebrity has issued such a statement. She famously donned a white T-shirt with the phrase 'nepo baby' written on it in 2023. During her appearance on the June 29, 2023, episode of The Circuit With Emily Chang, Hailey Bieber even clarified her decision to sport the said top, stating that it wasn't to 'poke fun at' the fact that she comes from a family of extremely famous people. Instead, she wanted to 'literally' convey that 'this is what everyone is saying and I want you to know that this is my way of responding to it.' Selena Gomez Subtly Shows Support for Hailey Bieber on Instagram

Hailey Bieber has had a big week with the release of her first extended interview since welcoming her son, Jack Blues, in Vogue. The model revealed in the piece that her beauty brand, Rhode, will be coming to Sephora this fall, saying, 'In my wildest dreams, it's already gone beyond what I would've hoped for.' While her comments made headlines, her husband, Justin Bieber, posted an Instagram about her achievement that also drew some attention. In a since-edited caption, he revealed details about an argument they had where he told her that she would never land a Vogue cover. 'Yikes I know, so mean,' he admitted. He went on to apologize for trying to 'get even' with her during the fight and asked for her forgiveness for the comment because 'clearly I was sadly mistaken.' His remarks sparked a lot of discussion. But one person not engaging was Bieber's ex Selena Gomez, who made a subtle move to celebrate Hailey's career milestone. The singer liked Sephora's Instagram post about the Rhode announcement: Gomez also posted an unrelated Instagram Story, reminding everyone that they matter. 'You know who you are, and I'm cheering you on,' Gomez wrote. Gomez has publicly shown support for Hailey before, especially in 2023 when people on TikTok started dissecting Gomez and Hailey's history. She followed Hailey on Instagram and shared an Instagram Story, asking people to stop harassing the model. 'Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn't what I stand for,' Gomez wrote. 'No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop. ♥️' Hailey thanked Gomez for her support and later spoke about her disappointment that people pitted them against each other in the first place. 'I don't like this whole idea of Team This Person and Team This Person,' she said on The Circuit With Emily Chang. 'I'm just not about that. I want to be able to bring people together. I think that was a really important moment for people to see that you can do that. And you can bring people together and it doesn't have to be about this divisive nature.' The idea of two women 'being pitted against each other because of a guy? It's awful,' Hailey added. 'I hate it. I've hated it since the beginning. And I think that kind of goes back to a little bit of just being misunderstood when it's like time and time again I don't know why I keep having to say, and we keep having to say, that there is no issue and there is no problem. It's so disappointing that people still behave this way over a man. It's the world we live in, unfortunately.'

After Her Rep Slammed A "Fabricated" Claim That She Shaded Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber Posted A Cryptic Statement — And I'm Trying To Figure Out What It Means

Hailey Bieber has taken to Instagram to make her stance clear… I think. Last week, Hailey found herself at the center of speculation once again about her alleged ongoing feud with Selena Gomez. If you need a reminder, Selena, while now engaged to Benny Blanco, dated Justin Bieber on and off for eight years before ending things officially in March 2018. Hailey, who married Justin back in September 2018, lost almost a million followers on Instagram in 2023 as fans called out her alleged 'mean girl' behavior toward Selena. The "mean girl" allegations stemmed from a number of social media videos and posts in which Hailey and her friendship group, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner, were accused of shading Selena and mocking her appearance. Despite fan speculation, Hailey spoke about the accusations multiple times and shut down the narrative that there was drama "over a man." In an appearance on The Circuit With Emily Chang in 2023, Hailey spoke about the situation, explaining, 'I don't think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez — this is not about this pitting between two women and division between two women. It's about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted and perpetuated narratives. That can be really dangerous.' And while it's long seemed like things are all good between the two, the feud speculation was reignited last week when a TikTok creator publicly alleged that Hailey had liked a video mocking Selena and Benny. In a video posted on Feb. 14, creator Courtney Presto mocked a series of pictures from Interview magazine of Selena and Benny (yep, the ones you're thinking of), saying, 'I had to look at these photos, so you do too.' And on March 6, Courtney posted a follow-up video — sharing a screenshot that showed Hailey's account liking the original video. 'Hailey Bieber herself liked my TikTok,' Courtney said. 'Don't necessarily come for me in the comments, but I was being a little shady to Selena Gomez. However, that means that the Selena Gomez Justin Bieber beef is alive and well, people. Hailey probably fucking hates Selena.' Multiple people in the comments accused the creator of faking the screenshot. And it wasn't long before Hailey's representative entered the chat to set the record straight. 'This never happened," Hailey's rep told E! News yesterday. "This entire story has been fabricated by a content creator looking to capitalize off an old, tired narrative.' And that same day, Hailey took to Instagram to share a cryptic statement, which many folks are speculating may be in response to all the chatter on TikTok. 'pastors and preachers really love to put words together with the same letter and act like it's HITTING so crazy…,' she wrote. ''There's blessing in the brokenness,' 'There's grace in the gratitude,'' Hailey continued, 'shit drives me bananas.' She then shared a meme of Elmo with his arms up in flames, and added, 'and then people sit there like this eating it up!' before finishing up with a post that just read, 'Anyways….' Now, could Hailey just have been talking about her preferences for sermons in church? Most definitely. But given the timing of the post many fans are speculating that this might be Hailey's way of saying she wants nothing to do with these false narratives. But I guess we'll never know for sure.
