Christina Haack Reveals Upset Over ‘Not Great' Divorce Settlement With Josh Hall: ‘I Guess It's Done'
HGTV star has laid bare her upset over her divorce settlement with Josh Hall, hinting that she feels 'screwed' by the agreement that the two of them finally reached—nearly a year after they split. Haack, 41, has spent the past few months embroiled in a bitter feud with her 44-year-old estranged husband—having split from Hall shortly after they began filming their new HGTV project, 'The Flip Off.' While their split was hammered out in court, the duo engaged in a very public war of words, with Haack accusing her ex of trying to take her money and her property, allegations that he has vehemently denied. Finally, on May 2, the embittered exes finalized their split—and Haack has now shed some light on the lengthy and unhappy process to reach a settlement, while hinting that she is less than content with the results. While speaking on SiriusXM's 'Jeff Lewis Live,' she confessed to host Jeff Lewis that she 'signed something' to be rid of the drama with her ex for good. 'I signed something. There's like a process after the process. It was resolved in mediation after, I think, 12 hours,' she explained. When Lewis asked the home pro if she was happy with how the settlement turned out, she noted that she wasn't interested in divulging all the details. 'I heard a saying once, like, if you both think you're screwed … I don't know how it goes,' she said. 'Look, it's not great, but I guess it's done.' Co-host Shane Douglas clarified the phrase: 'If both parties are equally unhappy after the negotiation, then you got what you want.' Although the details of the settlement haven't been revealed, Haack teased that she will stop by Lewis' show again when they become public record. After the settlement on May 2, a rep for Haack told Us Weekly, 'Christina is pleased to confirm that a settlement has been reached through mediation. She extends her sincere appreciation to her attorney, Laura Wasser, and her team for their professional guidance and support throughout the process.' The HGTV star also praised her legal team on her social media. 'You are all a true class act. I loved watching you in action and how you handle everything and everyone with class and grace. I appreciate you all beyond words. I have learned so much under your guidance,' Haack said on her Instagram Story. The settlement came as a shock to fans and Haack, who previously lamented the ongoing legal proceedings during an appearance on the show 'Jeff Lewis Has Issues.' 'We're not even close [to a settlement]. We're going to be going to trial, I hear. It's going to be fun. Can't wait,' she said. She claimed that Hall asked the court to force her to pay his legal fees, noting that she has not yet been 'ordered' to do so but that she has been supporting him financially. The court hasn't 'ordered me yet, but he's been asking me [for money],' she said. 'I've already had to give a little something, but then he bought a Bentley. I gave him money to live, and he bought a Bentley, but he also doesn't have a job, so …' According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Haack asked that neither she nor Hall pay spousal support, adding that she wanted her ex to pay her lawyer fees. On the flip side, Hall requested spousal support and asked Haack to pay his lawyer fees. In response to Haack's interview rant about him, Hall issued a withering response via his spokesperson, accusing Haack of being 'obsessed' with him and alleging that she 'knows nothing' about what is going on in his life. 'It's sad Christina must resort to low blows about her ex Josh to promote her new show,' the statement read, before bizarrely going on to quote a Mariah Carey song. 'She should focus on her new boyfriend and stop talking about Josh. As the great Mariah Carey once sang, 'Why you so obsessed with me?' We wish Christina the best. 'Christina knows nothing about Josh's life, and it's sad she keeps speculating. Her accusations are baseless.' Sharing a screenshot of the statement on her Instagram account, Haack vented her fury: 'I just threw up in my mouth. Quoting a Mariah Carey song is a new low … even for you,' she wrote. 'Trust me idgaf about Josh's life. I do however care about his bts tactics. Narcissism at its finest.' Haack seemed to put their feud behind her when she debuted her new relationship with in January. She went 'Instagram official' with Larocca by sharing images of their romantic getaway on a private jet—just days after she opened up about her bitter divorce from Hall in her latest HGTV show. Haack shared images from their whirlwind trip, one of which showed her perched on 52-year-old Larocca's lap inside the plane, both of them holding glasses of Champagne while beaming for the camera. In another snap, Haack and Larocca—who is the CEO of Network Connex—embraced each other as they struck a pose in front of the jet. She captioned the images: 'Some plane flights must be hard posted.'The Driveway Could Be Your Home's Ultimate Selling Point That You're Overlooking Fresh Out of College? Christina Haack Receives Mother's Day Surprise From Ex Tarek El Moussa and His Wife Heather—as Well as Boyfriend Christopher Larocca
HGTV star Christina Haack appears to have come through the darkest days of her divorce from Josh Hall and lately is focusing her social media posts on celebrating the people in her life she loves the most, rather than hitting out at her former spouse. Haack, 41, did exactly that on May 11, when she took to Instagram to thank her nearest and dearest for showing her so much love on Mother's Day, including her ex-husband, , and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, who sent her an enormous bouquet of flowers to mark the special day. The mother of three—who shares two children with Tarek, 43—took to Instagram to proudly display the stunning pink arrangement, which came complete with a sweet note from the former couple's two kids, Taylor and Brayden. 'Happy Mother's Day, Mom! We love you! Love Tay and Brayden,' the message read, although Haack revealed the true identity of the sender by sharing her own message of thanks in her caption: 'Thank you for the beautiful flowers [Tarek and Heather].' The heartwarming show of love is just the latest sign of Haack and Tarek's mended relationship, which they have spent years working on since their 2016 split, which was followed by a bitter divorce and custody battle. However, the duo—along with Heather—have to have gone from strength to strength in the past year, particularly while working on their HGTV series, 'The Flip Off,' during which Haack went head to head with the married couple in a series of renovation challenges. The series began filming during the breakdown of Haack and Hall's marriage—and saw both Tarek and Heather serving as great sources of support for their co-star as she grappled with the split. They were also on hand to give their seal of approval when Ha moved on to a new romance with businessman Christopher Larocca, who she began dating at the end of 2024, and quickly wrapped into her closest social circle. Heather previously told that she and Tarek had joined the happy couple on several double dates, revealing that the new couple seemed 'happy' together. 'We've gone to dinner with them a couple of times, and he's come to some kid things, and I'd say, so far I like him. I have nothing negative to say about him, and she seems happy,' she shared in March. And it appears that relationship has also gone from strength-to-strength, with Larocca getting his own Mother's Day shoutout from Haack after showering her with yet another bouquet. 'Thank you babe,' she wrote in the caption of the image, in which she could be seen holding up a colorful arrangement and a card with a cute hedgehog illustration on the front. Haack's children also showed their love for their mother on the special holiday, with Taylor, 14, posting a sweet tribute to her mom on Instagram, sharing a photo of the two of them wearing matching brown bikinis. 'Happy Mother's Day to my built-in best friend,' the teenager wrote. 'I love you so much.' Both Taylor and Brayden, 9, also wrote their mom sweet notes, which Haack shared an image of on her Instagram Stories, revealing that her son had written an essay-style piece about 'how my mom influences me,' while her daughter had penned a card in which she jokingly referred to herself as the 'favorite child.' Aside from the joke, Taylor's card made a small reference to the hardships that her mom has faced in the past year, including her divorce from Hall. 'You've gone through so many things this year, like the divorce, and I'm so proud of the way you held your head high and remembered your worth,' she wrote. 'I admire you so much and the way you show me how to be a great mom in the future, because if I'm even half as great as you are, I know I've done something right.' She ended the heartfelt message with a sweet sign-off, writing: 'You're so beautiful inside and out, and I'm so excited to make so many more amazing memories with you.' Meanwhile, Brayden's essay, which was written in cursive, praised Haack for 'always being kind to others,' adding that she is 'always humble to our family.' 'She's such an amazing mom,' he went on. 'She's always helping me, she's always caring for us … I hope I'm like her when I'm older.' Heather Rae El Moussa's friendship with Christina Haack is 'getting there'
Heather Rae El Moussa's friendship with her husband's ex-wife is 'developing'. The 37-year-old reality star is married to Tarek El Moussa and has two-year-old son Tristan with him but is also stepmother to Taylor, 14, as well as nine-year-old Braydon - whom he shares with Christina Haack. And, she explained that working with Christina on 'The Flip Off' has led to them bonding. She told Us Weekly: 'I think friendship is a very special thing, like being a friend. And I think we're getting there, right? We're opening up to each other about things. We help each other through things. We talk about personal things with each other and guide each other through things. So our friendship is developing even more and more. 'It did [surprise me] because we talk about the kids. It's school, school stuff and homework and discipline and sports, but then, we don't know each other. We didn't know each other on a deeper level of who we are as individuals and filming a show together and being around each other more outside of just the children. ['The Flip Off'] got us to know each other on more of a friendship level.' Heather also revealed she would love to work with Christina again if 'The Flip Off' gets renewed for a second season. She said: 'It's an incredible show. We are very hands-on. We are executive producers. We helped create the show. We started in the show, and there's always trash talk with Tar and Christina, not so much me. I mean, it's fun to gang up on my husband. He's just easy and he has fun with it. Christina and I, we've built a friendship throughout The Flip Off and we co-parent together and Mother's Day is coming up, which is exciting. We get to celebrate each other as mothers. But yeah, there's always a little trash talk. It's fun, but it's healthy.'

Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa Are Co-Parenting Goals as They Celebrate at Brayden's School Mother's Day Party
Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa enjoyed an early Mother's Day with Christina's son Brayden The 9-year-old hosted his mom and stepmom at his school's Mother's Day celebration Heather previously thanked Christina for letting her be a part Brayden and 14-year-old Taylor's livesChristina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa are celebrating Mother's Day a little early. On Friday, May 9, The Flip Off costars shared a joint post on Instagram as they attended Christina's 9-year-old son Brayden's Mother's Day party at his school. In the adorable photo, Brayden can be seen standing in between his mom and his stepmom Heather, placing an arm on each of their shoulders. "We got spoiled early for Mother's Day by this cutie. Beautiful classroom tea party, sweet notes and lots of love," the two wrote in their joint caption. "💕 Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day weekend as well!" Heather, who is married to Christina's ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, is stepmom to the former couple's kids Brayden and Taylor, 14. She also shares son Tristan, 2, with Tarek. Christina is also mom to son Hudson, 5, whom she shares with ex Ant Anstead. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Earlier this month, Heather spoke with PEOPLE about what traditions her family does every year on Mother's Day and shared that she's grateful that Christina allows her to have time with Brayden and Taylor on the special day. "Usually — and I'm thankful for Christina that I get to spend time with the kids — we'll do a brunch with the kids and then she'll do something else with them later on in the day," Heather told PEOPLE. "And we get together with my side of the family, Tarek's side of the family, we usually do a brunch. I try not to cook or do anything at the house because I don't want to clean up," she continued. "So it's like getting out of the house, celebrating and then coming home and just sharing the day with Tristan and Tarek after the kids go to Christina's house." In April, Heather appeared on Melissa Gorga's podcast On Display from PodcastOne and spoke about her relationship with Christina. The proud mom said she gives Christina props for how gracefully she handled Heather's relationship with her kids. After Gorga asked her if there were different rules or routines at her house than at Christina's, Heather shared that the mom of two "never micromanaged me," and her husband didn't either. "That was really nice that I wasn't told what to do, how to do it. I was able to just kind of come in and figure things out on my own and kind of at my own time," she continued. "And she was very much in their life." "So it wasn't like I was coming in to replace her. I was just coming in to be added love and help take care of them and help raise them," Heather said. "And you know, I give her props because being now a mom and having my son, it would be really hard to have a woman come in and raise my kid and not know what they're doing at the household." She went on to say she believed Christina always knew she only had good intentions where the kids were concerned. "But I think Christina knew early on that my heart was just pure. I was there to love and I was there just to be a really good stepmom," Heather said. "And I think she felt that and knew that and the kids loved me so much that she was grateful for me."
