‘It's everything you want': Dave Franco teases Now You See Me: Now You Don't
Dave Franco has teased 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' will be "everything you want". The 39-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as street magician Jack Wilder in the upcoming threequel, and has now teased 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' will delight fans - with Rosamund Pike's new villain being a particular stand-out. Speaking to Collider, Franco said: "We got some new fun characters - we got an incredible villain with Rosamund Pike, who's just an absolute pro. It's everything you want." As well as Pike, 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' will introduce the next generation of magicians as portrayed by Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa. Meanwhile, Franco will be reteaming with his fellow 'Now You See Me' co-stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman. Reflecting on reuniting with 'The Four Horsemen' - as portrayed by himself, Harrelson, Eisenberg and Fisher - Franco pointed to the "natural camaraderie" they share, which he believes "bleeds through onto the screen". He said: "I've known this cast for nearly 15 years now, and we all genuinely love each other. There's no set that I laugh on more. "I just adore these people, and I think the natural camaraderie that we have kind of bleeds through onto the screen, and people can feel how much fun we're having." 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' - which is being directed by Ruben Fleischer - will see the return of 'The Four Horsemen', though they appear to be disbanded as a group in the early moments of the movie. Eisenberg's J. Daniel Atlas tells a new generation of illusionists his former team is "dead" in a trailer for the new flick, which is slated for release in November. He clarifies: "To me. Things got too real for them. They gave up stuff." The story of 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' revolves around a diamond heist, involving both the original Horsemen and newcomers played by Greenblatt, Smith and Sessa, as they work together against a criminal organisation. Greenblatt's character declares in the trailer: "I like our odds." The title for 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' was unveiled last month at CinemaCon, where Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson revealed Fleischer would also return for a fourth movie. Fogelson said: "We were so happy with the director's cut, we're already developing the next chapter. "We can't wait for audiences to discover what he's done with the third film and thrilled he'll be making even more magic with us." Fleischer added: "Directing 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' was as much fun as making any movie in my career. "It combines two of my favorite things - heist movies and magic - and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going."

Now You See Me 3 fans get paid $119 to watch the trailer, yet most remain unimpressed: ‘A new level of desperation'
Few movies can make magicians look cool without making you cringe, but Now You See Me (2013) has done it twice! Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Mark Ruffalo, the magic-themed heist series has captivated audiences across the world. Now back for a third instalment with some new faces, joining the cast are Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, Rosamund Pike, and Justice Smith. The trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don't (finally, right?) just dropped, and here's what fans have to say. But before we delve into what people think of the trailer, there's another part of this whole saga that deserves our attention: the Times Square promo that had people checking their bank accounts in joy. Taken straight out of the script, one of the major promos behind the film, the makers live-streamed a mysterious billboard in Times Square on TikTok. And here's the twist: everyone who signed up for the livestream was Venmoed $119. Yes, you read that right. The movie magic turned into real cash, just like some of the most captivating scenes in the movie. According to Pop Crave on X, those who tuned into the broadcast saw their bank accounts magically grow by the exact amount. Unsurprisingly, the internet had… feelings about this. 'Paying people to see a movie is a new level of desperation and sadness,' one person declared. On the flip side, some folks were downright amazed. 'That's wild—literal movie magic turning into real cash!' another fan joked. 'Later it's gonna reverse and people are gonna have negative balances,' one fan quipped, referring to the main trick The Four Horsemen executed in the first film against billionaire Arthur Tressler. While many fans were happy to see their favourite Horsemen back in action with a few additions, others had questions. One commenter wondered: 'I'm not seeing Mark Ruffalo. I wonder what their excuse will be.' While some fans are genuinely curious about the absence of the beloved actor, others are getting suspicious. Could this be an intentional misdirect? Another fan put the whole vibe of the trailer into one sentence saying: 'This trailer looks like it was made in 2008.' One more fan commented, 'That is why I hate these movies. They want to be clever and slick but the writers aren't clever and slick enough to actually write them that way.' So, what's the final verdict? Is Now You See Me: Now You Don't going to pull off the impossible once again? Or has the franchise overstayed its welcome, with too many new characters, too many tricks, and not enough heart?

Jesse Eisenberg Enlists a New Generation of Magicians in Twisty 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' Trailer
Now You See Me: Now You Don't is showing off new magic tricks for the franchise's third installment. On Tuesday, April 29, Lionsgate debuted the first trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don't, which sees original cast members Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco reprise their roles as the Four Horsemen in the follow-up to 2016's Now You See Me 2. Morgan Freeman also returns. Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith Rosamund Pike and Dominic Sessa join the cast in new roles. The franchise famously follows the team of illusionists as they use their stage productions to perform elaborate heists. A logline for the new film teases, "The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises and magic unlike anything ever captured on film." Related: Dwayne Johnson Transforms Into UFC Legend Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine Trailer In an October interview with GamesRader+, Eisenberg opened up about reuniting with Ruben Fleischer on set. "We've been in Budapest for the last three months, and I almost made it till the end without breaking anything," he said, referring to his finger that he broke while filming. "And the movie is really astounding." The A Real Pain actor added, "Every day we walk onto set and pinch ourselves because the set pieces, the magic, the ensemble, it's really, truly miraculous." The cast has stayed tight-lipped about the movie since it was announced. However, Eisenberg told Collider in March 2024 that the screenplay was finished and he anticipated shooting to start in the "next six months." Production moved quickly and the cast wrapped filming in November 2024, according to a post on Instagram. The third flick sees the return of screenwriters Ed Solomon and Boaz Yakin, who wrote the script with Seth Grahame-Smith. Fleischer, who also directed Eisenberg in Zombieland and its sequel, will serve as the director. In August 2024, newcomer Greenblatt told Nylon that she had been going to magic school in preparation for the upcoming movie. "I've been at the Magic Castle every other day, learning magic,' she said. 'My magic teacher is so awesome; he is one of the best ones. So I get to know all the magician tea.' A fourth Now You See Me movie is already in the works. Now You See Me: Now You Don't is in theaters Nov. 14. Read the original article on People

"Now You See Me 3" Gets Official Title and Fourquel
Yara Sameh The Four Horsemen's next cinematic adventure has a title: 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't.' And the thieving magicians' third big screen heist won't be their last — a fourth film is already in development with Ruben Fleischer returning to direct. Before Fleischer gets to work on the fourquel, 'Now You See Me 3' will open in theaters on November 14. Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher and Morgan Freeman will reprise their roles from the first two films while Ariana Greenblatt and Rosamund Pike will join the cast. 'We were so happy with the director's cut, we're already developing the next chapter,' Lionsgate's Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson said Tuesday morning at CinemaCon, the annual convention for movie theater owners. 'We can't wait for audiences to discover what he's done with the third film and thrilled he'll be making even more magic with us.' Lionsgate brought a first-look at the third installment, a sequel to 2016's 'Now You See Me 2' and 2013's 'Now You See Me.' As a refresher, the series focuses on the thieving illusionists known as the Four Horsemen (Eisenberg, Harrelson, Franco and Fisher). However, they're disbanded in the early moments of this third film as Eisenberg's character tells a new generation of crooked magicians that his former comrades are dead. 'To me,' he clarified. 'Things got too real for them. They gave up stuff.' The threequel picks up with a diamond heist that involves two generations of illusionists — the Horsemen seemingly come out of retirement and join newcomers Greenblatt, Justice Smith and Dominic Sessa — to take down dangerous criminals. 'I like our odds,' Greenblatt's character says in the trailer, which hasn't yet been revealed to the public. The first two films were commercial successes — and the kind of mid-budget production that traditional studios rarely greenlight these days. The original grossed $350 million while the sequel generated $334 million. Bobby Cohen, who originally developed and has produced all the films in the series, will return to produce the new installment alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate. 'Directing 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' was as much fun as making any movie in my career,' Fleischer said. 'It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical.
