#SHOWBIZ: Insomniacks bring dreams to life

MALAYSIAN pop-rock band The Insomniacks' show, "Echoes of a Dream," was a resounding success, entertaining 2,400 fans at Zepp Kuala Lumpur recently. The music outfit's inaugural solo concert created a memorable atmosphere that showcased energetic performances from the band alongside a setlist rich with emotion and nostalgia. Enhanced by dramatic lighting and robust stage production, the concert delivered an immersive audiovisual experience. The enthusiastic cheers and heartfelt sing-alongs from the fans demonstrated the strong bond between The Insomniacks and their supporters, forged over a decade since the band's formation. As a token of their appreciation, Insomniacks released a new track, "Seperti Dulu" ("Like Before"), just before the concert. The band performed a total of 21 songs, including popular hits such as "Pulang" ("Return"), "Sempurna" ("Perfect"), and "Igauan Malam" ("Nightmare"), as well as several other tracks that made their live debut. According to Insomniacks' vocalist, Syed Mir Iqbal, also known as Iqie, he and the other band members were immensely grateful that their debut concert had proceeded smoothly and concluded successfully. Iqie added that the turnout from their fans that night truly touched their hearts, and he promised they would continue to produce even greater works in the future. "Praise be to God, our debut concert after 10 years in the industry was a success. "Moreover, the support from the fans that night was incredible, and it truly moved all of us. This has motivated us to create even more fantastic work with their continued support," he said. Besides Iqie, Insomniacks comprises two other members: Wan Arif Iskandar on bass guitar and guitarist Danial Lee Hashim. The concert also featured a special performance from renowned Indonesian singer Nabila Taqiyyah, who collaborated with Insomniacks on the song "Belum Mulai" ("Not Yet Started"). Other popular artistes who graced the stage included Nabila Razali, Killa Driz, and Arif Kamaruddin. The success of the concert, organised by SAH Entertainment in collaboration with Universal Music, further solidifies Insomniacks' position as one of the most influential alternative bands in the local music industry today. "Insomniacks: Echoes of a Dream" not only created beautiful memories for fans but also marked another significant milestone in the band's artistic journey. Tickets for The Insomniacks' debut concert in Kuala Lumpur had completely sold out within just four hours, a testament to the extraordinary support from their loyal fanbase, known as Maniacks. Not stopping there, the Insomniacks also managed to stage a successful concert in neighbouring Singapore following their Kuala Lumpur date. Much like their home concert, tickets for the Singapore show were also sold out, which marked a significant international success for the enduring band.
