Hyatt Opens First JdV by Hyatt Property in Southeast Asia

Macau's Statistics and Census Service reported 2,891,003 visitors arrived in Macau in June, up 13.3% from June 2024. Mainland China visitation was up 20.8% to 1,995,627. The much-sought-after international visitation was up a measly 3% in June to 197,007. The number of same-day visitors was up 22.5% to 1,611,641, while the more important overnight visitor statistic was only up 3.6% to 1,279,362. Singapore Oceanarium officially opened as part of Resorts World Sentosa's S$6.8 billion expansion. The attraction was previously known as Sea Aquarium but was revamped to showcase research-inspired installations, immersive exhibits, hands-on programs, and interactive digital experiences. Resorts World Sentosa to launch luxury hotel The Laurus in Q3

When The Laurus opens in the third quarter of this year, Resorts World (RWS) will house Singapore's first The Luxury Collection property. The Luxury Collection is a brand under the hospitality conglomerate Marriott International. Other brands in its portfolio include The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott. The brand's ethos is steeped in exceptional hospitality, historical significance and a highly immersive cultural experience. Crafted in collaboration with Marriott International, The Laurus blends timeless elegance and exclusivity to offer an elite, private and serene enclave. The 183 all-suite luxury hotel will be available for bookings from May 2025. Check out these highlights. The Laurus draws inspiration from Singapore's historic colonial charm. It offers access to Sentosa's rich biodiversity, storied landmarks and modern attractions. These include the S.E.A. Aquarium, Universal Studios Singapore and the Adventure Cove Waterpark. The 5-storey luxury hotel and its grounds will feature courtyard spaces, a function room, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and a new all-day restaurant. Surrounded by lush greenery, The Laurus will also have 183 suites. These include deluxe and premier suites starting from 72 square metres. Prices start at $1,200++ a night. Resorts World Sentosa hired Bangkok-based interior design firm P49 Deesign to create an atmosphere of timeless elegance throughout the resort. The company has also worked on other properties that include JW Marriott Hangzhou, W Hotel Samui and Six Senses Laamu. The rooms strike the ideal balance of space and luxuries to ensure a memorable residence.
