Browns Receive Major Criticism From WWE Superstar The Miz

They are hoping to turn that around during the 2025 NFL season, currently boasting a five-man quarterback room. What makes their current situation even more painful is due to the fact that they had a franchise quarterback on the roster. Baker Mayfield has turned into a top-tier quarterback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Browns could have still had him in town if they had kept faith in him. After selecting Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Cleveland saw him put together some quality years. He played with the Browns for four years before the team opted to head in a different direction. Those were not shabby numbers at all. The Browns have since come to regret that decision. Now, the franchise is receiving some rough criticism from WWE superstar The Mizz for letting Mayfield get away. "We had our franchise quarterback in Baker Mayfield. But what happens? We send them away, we trade them away, and give them to somebody else. Then we take someone else's franchise quarterback and give him the worst contract in NFL's absolute history," The Miz said. He has gone through all of the pain that the franchise has bestowed upon its fans. Last season with the Buccaneers, Mayfield continued proving the Browns wrong. He completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 4,500 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. It took him some time, but he has figured things out in the NFL and has been playing like a top-tier star. As for the Browns, they currently have Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel at the quarterback position. They can only hope that one of those guys is able to break out and prove that he can be a franchise quarterback long-term.
