Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of 17 years marries second wife
Nozipho previously opened up about the pain caused by her husband's decision to take a second wife. The Mommy Club star Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of more than 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, has officially taken a second wife. In a statement issued in March 2024, Zola confirmed he was taking another wife, revealing that lobola negotiations were underway at the time. He also condemned social media backlash directed at his soon-to-be second wife. 'I have noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife, Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to unfair treatment characterised by abuse and stigmatisation,' the statement added. This past weekend, Zola and his 25-year-old bride, Misokuhle Nomsheshe, celebrated their union with a traditional wedding ceremony. Misokuhle has since shared images and videos from the lavish celebration on her Instagram page. In an episode from the show's second season, Nozipho opened up about the emotional toll the decision had taken on her and her children. 'The plan has changed, and I find that this plan has changed only to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain. So, I am not happy with the plan, and I don't think it's fair because what am I going to do? 'You spend 17 years building with someone, you spend your whole life not having to worry if someone will be there for birthdays and Christmases. You spend the rest of your life planning that when we are both 50 years old, we are going to do this and that — and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the plan changes,' Nozipho said, tearing up. Watching this really broke my heart. Strength to Nozi and her family. 🍃✨#TheMommyClub — Cinnamon Pigment🍁 (@Phee_Lebeko) April 1, 2024 Tjo Nozipho's husband is gone, like really gone. Last year, the reality TV star, who has eight children with her husband, shared that she was not in favour of the union. On The Mommy Club, Nozipho openly expressed her heartbreak regarding Zola's intention to take a second wife, stating, "The plan has changed to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain. The public reaction has been largely sympathetic towards Nozipho, with many criticising Zola for proceeding with the marriage despite her clear objections. ‘I don't think Her Majesty's apology was sincere' – Noksie on The Mommy Club reunion
Season three of The Mommy Club has officially ended. By far, this was the most controversial season the mommies have had. Not only were feuds and insults hurled, but there were also divisions. The reunion which was hosted by TV presenter, actress and singer Ntombee Ngcobo-Mzolo, were no different as they brought on confrontations and tears. Emotions ran high, nothing was sugar-coated, and every issue viewers have been buzzing about was laid bare. From Pheladi's absence and Mrs Sande's emotional state to the bullying accusations that sparked serious conversations online, the ladies didn't hold back. One of the biggest moments of the reunion came when Season 3 newcomer Mrs J stormed out after a heated exchange with Vuyi, leaving everyone gagged. While there were apologies and attempts to move forward, it's clear that not all wounds have healed, and where their relationships stand now is everyone's guess. Noksie, who has been at the centre of the biggest feud of the season, didn't shy away from spilling tea, sharing her thoughts on what really went down at the reunion, how she feels about the other ladies, her celebrity fans and more. Read more | 'My children were discriminated from day one' – Mrs J lashes out at The Mommy Club production Reflecting on her time on the show, she says it wasn't what she expected. 'I went in thinking I'd be surrounded by empowered, thriving boss babes, women glowing from the inside out. Instead, I found myself among people carrying a lot of hurt and sadness, which was honestly quite disheartening.' Going into the show, the mother of one aimed to increase her brand visibility as a real estate agent. At the very least, she has achieved her goal. 'I'm really happy that sellers are now approaching me directly, which has made things easier for my real estate business.' Despite knowing that she doesn't thrive in group settings, she has been shown love and support by the public with some people even calling her the breakout star of the season. Now, everywhere she goes, she's recognised and showered with words of appreciation. 'I've had quite a few well-known people reach out to me, and it's been so heartwarming. One of them is the incredible Khanyi Mbau. What a queen! I'm truly grateful.' After the explosive reunion, Noksie has stayed in touch with Mrs J, who's been her day one, unlike Pheladi. Read more | 'I have nothing to hide' – Her Majesty ahead of The Mommy Club reunion 'As for the rest of the ladies, even though apologies were exchanged at the reunion, they're still not people I'd keep close. That said, I genuinely wish them all the best,' she adds. Most of the cast members were dissatisfied with a lot of production decisions, as Mrs J went as far as storming out of the reunion because her children's scene did not make it to the final product, nor were they invited to the reunion like Vuyi and Her Majesty's daughters. Other cast members accused the production company of twisting their arms and words to suit an unpleasant narrative. To that, Noksie says they were merely doing their job. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nokwethemba khumalo🇿🇦 (@noksie_khumalo) 'The production team is simply doing their job. They have their mandate, just like the cast does. Their role is to showcase what was filmed. It's really simple: if you don't want to be perceived in a certain way, don't behave that way. While we were shooting, I kept wondering if they realised this would eventually air. That's when it became clear to me that they didn't seem to care much about their image. Their main focus was bringing me down, without thinking about how their behaviour would reflect on them in the end.' Apologies flew across the room at the reunion. Some were accepted and some were dug out from deep holes. Although she was introduced to the group by Her Majesty, she doesn't believe the mother of three's apology was genuine. 'I don't think that her apology was sincere, but I just wanted to move on and move away.' To the new mommies who could be joining The Mommy Club in season four, she advises them to be themselves. 'My advice to the new mommy joining the show would be to simply be yourself. That's the most powerful thing you can be. Your tribe will naturally gravitate toward you, and those who aren't meant for you will fall away, just as they should.'
