Kansas man arrested for dragging American Airlines flight attendant up the aisle mid-air, faces up to 20 years in jail
A 24-year-old man from Kansas has been arrested for assaulting an American Airlines flight attendant on board, reports quoting prosecutors have said. According to a report by The New York Post, the man, identified as Julius Jordan Priester assaulted the flight attendant after ripping off his shirt. He allegedly threw the employee to the ground and dragged them up the aisle, as per the report quoting prosecutors. Priester, a 24-year-old resident of Wichita, boarded the American Airlines flight from Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut. The Department of Justice said he was arrested and charged for assaulting the cabin crew member. The incident happened at around 10 pm when the Chicago-bound flight was mid-air, The Post reported, resulting in chaos. 'Thirty minutes to an hour into the flight, Priester stood up, began to take off his shirt, then ran to the back of the plane yelling 'Help me,'' United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan was quoted as saying. Priester then grabbed the victim who was seated, forcefully bringing them to the ground. 'He then grabbed a flight attendant ('the victim'), who was seated, shouted, 'You're coming with me,' and forcefully brought the victim to the ground,' Sullivan said. The attacker tried to drag the cabin crew member up the aisle but was stopped by passengers who rushed to save the employee. Sullivan's office further added that Priester continued to shout incoherent comments even after passengers helped him get seated. American Airlines issued a statement regarding the matter, lauding its cabin crew members for their assistance. 'We do not tolerate violence, and we thank our team members for their professionalism and our customers for their assistance,' it said. However, the incident forced the pilot to divert the plane back to Bradley after the captain declared an emergency. Following the safe touchdown of the flight, Connecticut State Police arrived onboard to arrest Priester, who was then taken to a hospital for evaluation. Prosecutors have also revealed that Priester already has a criminal history in Kansas, with charges including that of an aggravated assault. He is currently in police custody and will be produced at the court soon. Priester can face imprisonment for up to 20 years with charges of interfering with flight crew members and attendants. The condition of the affected flight attendant has not been revealed.

UFC Fight Night 107 predictions: Full card picks for prelims and main card
Gambling content 21+. The New York Post may receive an affiliate commission if you sign up through our links. Read our editorial standards for more information. An appetizer the week before the main course. The UFC returns to its UFC Apex warehouse this weekend for an average Fight Night event, one week ahead of a loaded card at UFC 316 in Newark. Saturday's card won't be one you remember for years to come in terms of entertainment value, as it's not the highest level card we've seen, but perhaps you will look back on it as one that made you big money. With 11 fights on the schedule and six of them projected to end inside the distance, according to the oddsmakers, we should have another fun night in front of us. Here are my UFC Fight Night Vegas 107 predictions: The entire card is getting primetime treatment this weekend as it begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Erin Blanchfield preparing for her flyweight bout against Manon Fiorot at the UFC Fight Night event in Atlantic City, New Jersey Zuffa LLC via Getty Images Erin Blanchfield vs. Maycee Barber Elmwood Park, N.J.'s own Blanchfield has a chance to earn a flyweight title shot with a win Saturday. The pressure-oriented fighter is always down to strike with her opponent, even if the path of least resistance might be grappling. Barber was once a top prospect, winning her first four fights in the UFC before dropping two straight. All hope felt like it had been lost for Barber's chances of becoming a title challenger, but six straight wins have changed her outlook. Somewhat surprisingly, Barber is just a +180 underdog on Saturday. This is a tough spot for the highly athletic flyweight who can't really defend takedowns at a high level. Her offensive grappling is strong, but she stuffs takedowns at only a 53 percent rate. Andrea Lee took her down five times in 2022. I suspect Blanchfield gets it done here, and a submission is, of course, possible given Barber's struggles stopping takedowns. For that reason, I have built a same-game-parlay on DraftKings that accounts for submissions. Blanchfield to win by decision is -115, but I'd prefer to play it this way: Pick: Blanchfield moneyline + fight starts Round 3 (-160, DraftKings). Mateusz Gamrot of Poland prepares to face Dan Hooker of New Zealand in a lightweight fight during the UFC 305 event at RAC Arena on August 18, 2024 in Perth, Australia. Zuffa LLC Mateusz Gamrot vs. Ludovit Klein It's been a while since we've seen Gamrot, who was once firmly in the lightweight title picture. He is a takedown machine who boasts wins over title challenger Arman Tsarukyan as well as striker Rafael Fiziev. Gamrot's only losses are against Beneil Dariush and Dan Hooker, two hard-nosed, top-tier strikers. While Klein is a solid fighter who has used his striking to win big, it's not my favorite spot to bet on him this weekend. He shockingly defeated Ignacio Bahamondes in 2023, but he has struggled in other spots, notably against Jai Herbert, who has a rough 3-5-1 record, and he has a loss to Michael Trizano, who has since parted ways with the promotion. I expect Gamrot will win by decision here as long as he doesn't fall in love with his below-average striking and takes the path that gives him the best chance at victory. Pick: Gamrot by decision (+102, BetRivers). Get the lowdown on the Best USA Sports Betting Sites and Apps UFC Vegas 107 full card picks for prelims and main cards Blanchfield moneyline + fight starts Round 3 (-160, DraftKings). Gamrot by decision (+102, BetRivers). Billy Ray Goff vs. Ramiz Brahimaj: Goff by decision (+235, BetRivers). Dustin Jacoby vs. Bruno Lopes: Jacoby moneyline + fight starts Round 2 (-115, FanDuel). Ketlen Vieira vs. Macy Chiasson: Chiasson moneyline (-120, Fanatics Sportsbook) Zachary Reese vs. Duško Todorovic: Reese ML (-230, DraftKings). Jafel Filho vs. Allan Nascimento: Pass. Kurt Holobaugh vs. Jordan Leavitt: Holobaugh by decision (+500, DraftKings). Trevin Giles vs. Andreas Gustafsson: Gustafsson by KO/TKO (+185, FanDuel). Bolaji Oki vs. Michael Aswell: Pass. Aswell Jr. taking fight on extremely short notice; unclear what kind of shape he is in. Rayanne dos Santos vs. Alice Ardelean: dos Santos by decision (-125, BetMGM). 2025 French Open: Best bets for Cobolli-Zverev, Draper-Fonseca
Gambling content 21+. The New York Post may receive an affiliate commission if you sign up through our links. Read our editorial standards for more information. We're getting into the deep waters at the 2025 Men's French Open. Day 7 features an eight-match card with 16 players attempting to make it to the Round of 16, and the second week, at Roland Garros. Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, and Alexander Zverev are all in action on Saturday, but there is no doubt that the match with the most potential to be a thriller is the showdown between teen sensation João Fonseca and rising star Jack Draper. We'll share our best bet for that match and more below. 2025 French Open Day 7 best bets Flavio Cobolli (+390) vs. Alexander Zverev, approx. 7:30 a.m. ET It's been a trying season for Alexander Zverev since his run to the finals at the 2025 Australian Open in January. The German looked like he was well on his way to a massive year with his performance Down Under, but that narrative quickly cooled when the German went 6-6 over his next 12 matches after losing to Sinner in the Aussie finals. Zverev has been better of late, but he's made a habit of losing matches that he should have no issues winning. That could be what we see on Saturday against the impressive Italian Flavio Cobolli. Fresh off a title at Hamburg – his second trophy during the European clay-court season – Cobolli has looked imperious at Roland Garros, dispatching Marin Cilic in a whitewash and then taking care of his dangerous compatriot, Matteo Arnaldi. Cobolli is riding a seven-match winning streak, and he's got impressive victories over Arnaldi, Holger Rune, Sebastian Baez, and Andrey Rublev during the clay season. He's dangerous on Saturday. The Play: Flavio Cobolli +390 (FanDuel) Flavio Cobolli has won two titles on clay courts in 2025. REUTERS João Fonseca (+172) vs. Jack Draper, approx. 9 a.m. ET This will be box office. Two of the sport's young sensations will duke it out for the opportunity to make it to the Round of 16 at the French Open under the lights in Paris. Draper, fresh off a dramatic win over Gael Monfils, is a -200 favorite, but we could see these odds tighten as we get closer to tip-off. João Fonseca has been terrific in his first-ever French Open. The 18-year-old from Brazil made quick work of No. 30 Hubert Hurkacz in Round 1, and then whitewashed Pierre-Hugues Herbert in Round 2. Draper represents a step up from both players, but Fonseca has already dispatched some notable opponents in his first full year on the ATP Tour. Fonseca beat Andrey Rublev at the Australian Open, won a title with a win over Francisco Cerundolo, and took out Ugo Humbert in Miami. Draper did make quick work of Fonseca en route to his title at Indian Wells, but that came after a gauntlet to start 2025 for the teenager, who looks back in form at Roland Garros. Fonseca has the game to give the red-hot Draper a run for his money, and that's all you're looking for with these odds. The Play: João Fonseca +172

Yankees vs. Dodgers prediction: MLB Friday player props, picks, odds
Gambling content 21+. The New York Post may receive an affiliate commission if you sign up through our links. Read our editorial standards for more information. The Yankees have the pitching advantage in their series opener against the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Friday night. The American League Cy Young front runner, Max Fried, will take the mound for the Bombers opposite of Tony Gonsolin for the injury-riddled Dodgers. The veteran right-hander has struggled this season and will face one batter in particular who has had some big-time success against him in the past. Gonsolin has been getting knocked around in 2025, posting a 4.68 ERA while giving up 24 hits across 25 innings in five starts. He's had zero success against left-handed batters, allowing a .294 average with two home runs and three doubles in 61 plate appearances. And there's a lefty in the Yankees lineup he's had no luck stopping over the years: Trent Grisham. Starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin #26 of the Los Angeles Dodgers pitches against the Arizona Diamondbacks during the first inning of the MLB game at Chase Field on May 11, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. Getty Images The ex-Padre has six hits in 14 at-bats (.429) with a home run and a double against Gonsolin. Grisham has been mashing righties all season, too, hitting .292/.376/.646 with 10 home runs amid one of the best starts of his career. Learn all you need to know about MLB Betting He should get at least two, if not three or more passes at Gonsolin, hitting atop the Yankee lineup as he has since late April. Look for Grisham to have a knock, if not two, on Friday night at Dodger Stadium. The play: Trent Grisham to get a hit (-175, FanDuel Sportsbook), to get two hits (+300) Why Trust New York Post Betting Dylan Svoboda is a versatile writer and analyst across many sports.
