'I took full responsibility': Kayla Nicole opens up on having full custody and being a single parent after split from Travis Kelce

In a refreshingly candid episode of her podcast The Pre-Game, Kayla Nicole revealed the emotional and financial toll of taking full custody of the dogs she once shared with NFL star . Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Though she never names Kelce directly, the longtime on-again, off-again relationship they shared from 2017 to 2022 is well known—and so are their two dogs, Chauncey and Rambo. Kayla Nicole opens up about life after Travis Kelce and the cost of being a solo pet parent During a heartfelt conversation with guest Nazanin Mandi, the topic of post-breakup pet custody came up. Mandi explained how she and ex-husband Miguel now each care for one of their cats, prompting Nicole to reflect on her own situation. 'I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs,' she shared. 'I took full responsibility.' "The Power to Recreate Your Identity,' Nazanin Mandi Tells All That full responsibility hasn't come cheap. 'I had a dog bill the other day that was $2,000,' she said, adding with a laugh, 'And I love my kids, but how did y'all come to that conclusion because that's impressive?' Nicole admired the maturity behind Mandi's arrangement with Miguel, noting, 'That speaks to the relationship you guys still have. That means you guys are in a good, healthy, safe space to be able to make adult decisions. ' Nicole's role as a pet mom began during her relationship with Kelce, when she first introduced Chauncey in a 2017 Instagram post filled with humor and love. 'I would like to formally introduce you all to our son Chauncey Gallagher Kelce The First,' she wrote, noting his quirks like eating his own poop and burying it in the couch. 'Me love him,' she ended, adding the hashtag #NationalTakeYourSonToWorkDay. While Nicole has made subtle nods to Kelce in past interviews, she's growing weary of being defined by that chapter of her life. On a recent Second Wind podcast, she expressed frustration over being labeled as "Travis Kelce's ex." She explained, 'You sit down and you do an hour-long interview with someone and the headline is maybe a one sentence that you said... It's like, 'Damn, girl, did you listen to anything?'' That chapter was with Kayla Nicole , a successful sports journalist, entrepreneur, and media personality. After a five-year on-and-off relationship, Kelce and Nicole parted ways in 2022 just as his connection with Swift caught fire. But now, in her newly launched podcast, 'The Pre-Game with Kayla Nicole,' the media personality is revisiting the past with a candid, controversial take on her breakup, particularly her experience with the pet custody battle that followed. The untold truth of Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce's breakup: Pet custody and the financial responsibility There Were So Many RED FLAGS in Travis Kelce & Kayla Nicole's Relationship 🚩 In a recent episode of her podcast, Nicole opened up about an issue that often gets overlooked in the aftermath of high-profile relationships, the responsibility of caring for shared pets. During her conversation with guest Nazanin Mandi, Nicole didn't mince words when discussing her experience with her two dogs, Chauncey and Rambo, whom she shared with Kelce. According to Nicole, she's the one who's had to bear the full financial burden for their well-being post-breakup. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trending in in 2025: Local network access control [Click Here] Esseps Learn More Undo 'I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dog's responsibility on me,' she said. 'I had a dog bill the other day; it was $2,000.' That's a hefty price for the care of beloved pets, and one that Kelce seemingly hasn't shared, despite his wealth and status. This revelation comes after previous whispers about Kelce's reluctance to contribute financially during their relationship, especially when it came to their dogs' vet care. Travis Kelce fires back at pet custody claims But Kelce himself, known for his brash humor and confidence, has disputed these claims. In 2023, on The Pivot Podcast, Kelce fired back at allegations that he was 'too cheap' to help with their pets' expenses. 'How crazy is that?' he said, dismissing the rumors as nonsense. He clarified that while he may not have financially supported Nicole in the way some people might expect, he certainly contributed in other ways. 'You got to be crazy, if you think I've never helped or gave her a couple dollars to grab some food,' he explained. So, what's the truth? Does Kelce, one of the NFL's highest-paid players, truly live up to his generous persona, or has Nicole been left holding the bag when it comes to taking care of the dogs they once shared? While Kelce denies the claims, Nicole's statement paints a different picture, raising questions about the responsibility of pet ownership post-relationship, especially when there's money and fame involved. She and Kamie Crawford share a laugh while discussing their views, with Nicole further commenting that a bit of alcohol makes men more susceptible, saying, "Give them a few drinks and they wh**s, sl**s." The remarks, though clearly made in a playful and humorous tone, sparked mixed reactions online. Some viewers saw it as light-hearted girl talk, while others criticized it for reinforcing double standards in gender conversations. Regardless, the episode underscores the unfiltered, provocative style that The Pre-Game aims to deliver, creating space for women to speak candidly about dating, attraction, and power dynamics in relationships. Travis Kelce has long since turned the page, now in a highly publicized relationship with Taylor Swift that's lasted nearly two years. Rumors of a proposal swirled around Super Bowl LIX, but the Chiefs' loss to the Eagles quickly quieted any celebration. With the couple seemingly headed toward a serious future, possibly even marriage, the spotlight remains firmly on them. On the other hand, Kayla Nicole has been working to establish herself independently. Through her podcast The Pre-Game and various media projects, she's been focused on building her own brand and moving beyond the "Kelce's ex" narrative. While the connection to her former relationship still lingers in public perception, especially within sports and celebrity culture, Nicole continues to push forward, determined to be recognized for her own voice and accomplishments. 'I'm protecting me': Kayla Nicole breaks silence on dating after Travis Kelce cheating rumors, says she'll only go public with a ring

Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce's ex, is redefining her dating life post-breakup (Image via Instagram) Kayla Nicole, the on-air host and fitness influencer best known for her former relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce , is opening up about how her approach to dating has radically changed since their public breakup. Once vocal about her love life, Nicole is now focused on privacy, purpose, and self-preservation—drawing a clear boundary between her past and her future. From NFL spotlight to personal reset: Why Kayla Nicole is staying silent on her love life Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce had an on-again, off-again romance that spanned five years, ending in 2022. Their relationship garnered intense media attention, making Nicole a frequent topic of NFL gossip circles. But on her podcast The Pre-Game, Nicole shared how the pressures of being publicly linked to a high-profile athlete took a toll on her perspective. "I think it does a disservice to women in particular, especially just like young girls," Nicole reflected. "I feel like growing up, that's what I was taught. You have your one, your one and only. But ... this is how my mind works: If I only have one and my one is with someone else because he thinks that that's his one, then I'm just left without my one for the rest of my life." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Scarlett Johansson, 40, Shows Off Her Real Size In A New Vacation Photos 33 Bridges Undo Nicole now questions the fairy-tale notion of soulmates, leaning into a more grounded philosophy—one that prioritizes growth, emotional maturity, and timing over fantasy. She admitted she's now firmly 'out of the athlete stage,' making it clear her romantic preferences have shifted. 'I'm protecting me, and I'm protecting you,' she said, referring to why she'll keep future relationships under wraps unless they're deeply committed. In fact, she said she won't go public with another partner unless there's a ring—or possibly children—involved. Nicole's candid revelations are about more than just romance. They reflect a larger theme: a woman reclaiming her narrative, setting boundaries, and focusing on authenticity. She's no longer interested in proving anything to the public. Jersey Shore star reveals they made over $1M from stripping

Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino said he made over a million dollars stripping for Chippendales. The reality TV star, 37, appeared on an episode of Kayla Nicole's The Pre-Game podcast on Friday and talked about making money from showing off his toned body. 'It's great. I always tell people it's not like a strip club. I've made, like, over a million dollars doing it,' Vinny, known as the 'Italian stallion', said. Guadagnino started his Chippendales journey in Las Vegas in 2019 with a month-long guest host role and subsequently made return appearances. After Kayla appeared shocked by the amount, he explained: 'Because I've done so many. They're called residencies where you stay, and it's the easiest money I've ever made.' 'Just go there, live in Vegas, rip your shirt off.' Speaking about his transition to comedy, Guadagnino said, 'What I do now is hard.' The MTV star explained that he took improv classes during a hiatus when Jersey Shore wasn't filming. 'I was doing improv, and I was into comedy and sketch comedy, like Key and Peele and Chappelle Show ... So I did all that.' 'And then I always wanted to do stand-up because I knew that was like the more gangster thing to do. But I either never had the balls to do it, or I just didn't have the means.' In 2019, Vinny opened up about how hard he works to maintain his fit figure, which includes partaking in the keto diet. Vinny shared diet tips and fitness inspiration onto his second Instagram account, the ketoguido, where he addressed how he's been able to maintain his 50 pound weight loss over the last few years. Sharing a before-and-after photo highlighting all of his progress, Vinny said it all boiled down to the keto diet. 'The question of "how long of time in between these pictures" is not the important question to ask here in terms of "how long did it take to get from left to right"... I've always been able to get from left to right in a matter of months by committing to almost ANY diet and workout plan.' 'But after being done with those miserable diets and workout plans I would always go back from right to left... so the question of "how long of time between these pictures" IS important for the reason of "how long I've been able to STAY the guy on the right."' 'The answer to that question is about 4-5 years now.' 'How did I do that? Basically flipping the traditional food pyramid upside down and finding a way of eating that's enjoyable, satisfying, healthy, and one that never requires me to go on a "diet" . #ketoguido.' Jersey Shore ran on MTV from 2009 until 2012. The show — which sparked controversy and debate about stereotypes of Italian Americans — followed the lives of eight housemates who spent their summers together in a vacation home. It popularized a subculture often referred to as 'Guido' and 'Guidette', characterized by big hair, tans, and flashy clothing. Aside from Vinny, the original cast included Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Jennifer 'JWoww' Farley, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Paul 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Samantha 'Sammi Sweetheart' Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. MTV gave spin-off shows to four Jersey Shore cast members, with Snooki & Jwoww achieving the greatest success. In 2017, E! aired a one-time TV special titled Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore. On 2017, MTV announced a new reunion series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which would reunite the cast in Miami, Florida, excluding Giancola. The show premiered worldwide in April 2018. The eighth season is set to premiere on May 29, 2025, with the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast returning to their original Seaside Heights house. All Star Shore, a spin-off series featuring reality stars from Jersey Shore and other global shows, premiered in 2022. In the series, they live together in a villa and compete for a $150,000 prize.
