Carrie Bickmore sparks new romance with former TV star

Carrie Bickmore has long sparked rumours she's quietly dating radio co-host Tommy Little, but recent whispers suggest the 44-year-old has begun a rosy new romance with former The Bachelorette star Lee Elliot. Previously married to Georgia Love, whom he met on the show in 2016, Elliot and his ex announced their split in February this year. According to Women's Day, Bickmore and Elliot connected via mutual friends and have been enjoying each other's company at The Project alum's home in recent weeks. 'They've been trying so hard to keep things under wraps,' an insider told the publication. 'But there's definitely something romantic going on. They make a beautiful couple!' The source said feelings between the pair are 'heating up quickly'. Love and Elliot are believed to have ended on amicable terms, with the pair continuing to leave a trail of their past together on social media. Lee Elliott and Georgia Love split earlier this year. News of Bickmore and Elliott's burgeoning romance has supposedly been a bitter pill for the former Bachelorette to swallow. A source close to Love told the outlet the relationship development 'stings', especially due to Bickmore's profile and popularity. 'Seeing Lee move on so publicly and with someone as beloved as Carrie has brought up some complicated emotions,' the insider said. Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little co-host a radio show. Her supposed new flame is said to have been ticked off by Bec and Box, labelling Elliott as a 'seriously hot catch!' according to the outlet. Bickmore shares children Evie and Adelaide with ex-husband Chris Walker, and son Oliver with her late husband Greg Lange.

Aussie celebs parody viral Coldplay kiss-cam clip

Two Australian celebrities have hilariously parodied the viral Coldplay kiss cam moment at a Sydney comedy show on the weekend. American comedian Nikki Glaser's Australian tour kicked off this week, with the Golden Globes host performing a show in Sydney on Saturday night – and she made sure to take a moment to pay homage to the widely-discussed scandal. During her set the performer offered up her own version of the kiss cam that exposed Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, with Glaser's parody dubbed the Coldplay Clearly Committed Couple Kiss Cam. 'Let's see if we can have one more we can find – can we zoom in?' Glaser says at one point to the audience as the camera focused on The Project alum Wilkinson, who was being embraced by comedian Hamish Blake. Wilkinson and Blake were spotted cuddling while parodying the viral kiss-cam moment. Credit: Supplied 'Is that… is that Hamish and Lisa?! Ooooh, busted,' the comedian joked, while the duo covered their faces and tried to hide from the camera. 'Someone call Zoe right now, what the f***,' she followed up. Hamish Blake is married to author Zoe Foster Blake, while Lisa Wilkinson is married to former rugby player Peter FitzSimons. The television star took to Instagram after the event to share a video of the moment, joking in the caption that 'bloody cameras are everywhere'. Comments flooded in, praising the duo for the reenactment. 'My girlfriend and I were in the audience and this was hilarious!' one attendee said. 'Absolute gold,' another fan commented 'A great way to open the show,' a third comment read. The parody comes after news that the CEO at the scandal's centre, Andy Byron, has resigned from company Astronomer. 'Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding - our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,' the company said in their first statement since the scandal broke. 'Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.'

Ten's The Project replacement 10 News+ hits new low in latest TV ratings as it plummets to 20th spot

The Project replacement 10 News+ has sunk to a new low in the TV ratings just weeks after its debut. This week's ratings showed 10 News+ has plummeted to the 20th position on a list of Australia's highest rating news programs with a combined national average of just 140,000 viewers. Seven's nightly news led with a combined viewership of 1,318,000 people, with 9News taking second position at 1,215,000. However, in the traditional five metro cities market segment, 9News seemed to race ahead with 863,000 viewers to Seven's 858,000 figure. The ABC's evening show made it to third position, while Nine's A Current Affair finished in fourth and the ABC's 7.30 program hosted by Sarah Ferguson grabbed fifth spot. The July 16 ratings showed 10 News+ floundered in 20th position, while even regional television programs such as Win News performed better. The 6pm news aired for the first time on June 30, but the hard news segment did not seem to appeal to viewer's expectations as a replacement of the more conversation-infused The Project. 10News+ launched with just 291,000 viewers and continued to decline throughout the week, but it seems the broadcast is not ready to let go just yet. The fall in viewership is especially stark when compared to The Project's final episode on June 27, which saw 478,000 people tune in to bid the struggling programme farewell. However 10 News+ inherited the first half of The Project's 6:30pm–7:30pm slot, with the second half hour now freed up for the channel's primetime programming, meaning the two shows cannot be directly compared. Promising "extended context and deeper reporting on the day's biggest stories", the show is anchored by ex-Seven talent Denham Hitchcock and Amelia Brace from Sunday to Thursday, with Ursula Heger and Hugh Riminton hosting on Friday. The network previously said it was keen to see the team's work delivered to audiences across the country, but audiences have so far failed to engage. A spokesperson for Ten previously told the network was 'taking a long-term, multi-platform view of audience development.' 'Building a loyal news audience takes time, and we are prepared for gradual growth as audiences discover and connect with our unique approach to news delivery across many platforms,' the spokesperson said. '10 is fully committed to 10 News+. This is a marathon, not a sprint. "We are investing in building a sustainable, quality multi-platform news service that will grow and evolve with our audience's needs over time.'

TV host Rodger Corser reportedly shown the door at Channel Ten as the network continues to shed high-profile talent

Rodger Corser has reportedly been shown the door at Channel Ten, joining the list of talent being cut as the network continues to shed staff. Channel Nine swooped the popular 52-year-old TV host from under Ten's nose to host its top-rating game show, The Floor Australia, in 2025. The switch came after Corser's previous show, The Traitors, was not renewed for another season with Ten after just two series in 2022-23. It's understood Ten had still left the door open for Corser to return to host the reality game show should it ever make a return to screens. However, a source who spoke to Woman's Day on Monday said the network has now 'quietly let go' of Corser as host of The Traitors. The TV star is said to be wondering whether his move to Nine was ultimately the deciding factor for the bosses at Ten to show him the door. A TV insider told Woman's Day the network has been 'cleaning house' of its highest-earning talent to slash budget and 'freshen up' its shows. 'Essentially anyone with anything close to six zeroes (salary) has been let go,' a source said. The development comes as Survivor Australia fans are still reeling over Ten's axing of host Jonathan La Paglia in June. The show's producers told the TV veteran he was out of a job via a "clinical" and "cold" email, Daily Mail Australia reported. Australian Survivor: All-Stars champion David Genat is tipped to replace La Paglia, but insiders have said he "doesn't fit the brief" as host. "He's charismatic, sure - but Survivor needs someone with gravitas," a source told Daily Mail Australia. "David is not Jonathan, and viewers will notice that." Australian Survivor, which features a group of contestants called "castaways" living in an isolated outdoor location in Samoa where they must gather food, water, fire, and shelter while competing in challenges for awards and immunity, has recently struggled with a ratings slump. The last season, Brains vs. Brawn II, saw viewership dip to 486,000 total overnight viewers, a far cry from the many millions it attracted in its prime. It closely follows 10 News+, Ten's new current affairs news program 10News+, having also failed to gain viewers during its first week on air. 10 News+ replaced The Project in June, launching with an average national broadcast audience of 291,000 viewers. The show lost 47,000 viewers the following evening, bringing its national average to 244,000 viewers. That figure dipped to 205,000 on the third night and continued to decline, with a further drop to 159,000 recorded on Thursday. Ten's hopes for a comeback on Friday were dashed when a mere 152,000 people tuned in, or a decrease of 139,000 viewers compared to Monday. The fall in viewership is especially stark when compared to The Project's final episode on June 27, which saw 478,000 people tune in. A Ten spokesperson told the network was 'taking a long-term, multi-platform view of audience development.' 'Building a loyal news audience takes time, and we are prepared for gradual growth as audiences discover and connect with our unique approach to news delivery across many platforms,' the spokesperson said. '10 is fully committed to 10 News+. This is a marathon, not a sprint. "We are investing in building a sustainable, quality multi-platform news service that will grow and evolve with our audience's needs over time.' has contacted Ten and Rodger Corser for comment.

Who is the best Aussie radio star of the 21st century?

Don't miss out on the headlines from Entertainment. Followed categories will be added to My News. Australia, I have a big ask. I want you to tell me who you think is the best FM radio host from the last 25 years. Personally, I think there are five who could claim the title, including one who deserves way more hype (more on that soon). To celebrate the launch of the new app, we're celebrating the people, places and events we'll never forget from the first quarter of the 21st century by asking for Australia's view. Our 25@25 series will finally put to bed the debates you've been having at the pub and around dinner tables for years – and some that are just too much fun not to include. It wasn't easy, and there are many talented stars who have been left out (apologies to Fitzy, Wippa, Andy Lee, Kate Langbroek, Merrick, Rosso and Matt Tilley to name just a few). I invited Mitch Churi, considered by many to be one of this country's most promising radio talents, to run through the shortlist with me. Here they are in no particular order. Hamish Blake He's arguably the funniest radio star Australia has ever known, and many have since tried to imitate what he does. 'So much commercial radio that's made today is based on Hamish and Andy, and more so Hamish Blake,' Churi said. 'He's so funny and charming.' Hamish and Andy dominated national FM radio from 2006 to 2017, creating some truly magical on-air moments that will be remembered for years to come. Hamish Blake. Picture: Nigel Wright Carrie Bickmore. Carrie Bickmore Carrie had a small role on radio as a newsreader before she made it big on TV thanks to Rove and The Project. But she's arguably done some of her best work alongside Tommy Little on The Carrie and Tommy Show which has been on the Hit Network since 2017. ' She's made that jump from TV to radio which I don't think works every time,' Churi said. 'I find TV talent often struggle on radio (but) Carrie bucked the trend. She's so organic, she's so natural, she's real.' Kyle Sandilands The KIIS FM host is easily Australia's most talked about radio star. He's had many controversies over the years, but there's no denying he's one of the greatest to ever sit behind a microphone. 'He gets the craft unlike anyone else,' Churi said about Sandilands. 'He's brilliant. 'He actually taught me everything I know in radio. My first paid radio job was at KIIS FM and I was 'Mitch, the coffee bitch', a name coined by Kyle. ' I was 19 and I would make him eight lattes … a day.' Dave Hughes. Kyle Sandilands. Dave Hughes Hughesy started hosting a Nova show back in 2001, and enjoyed a pretty consistent radio career all the way through to late 2024 when his 2Day FM breakfast show was axed. 'He's similar to Kyle in that he doesn't hold back, he says what he wants,' Churi said about the comedian. 'There's no one like Hughesy on radio … It's that voice as well, it's so annoying but it's brilliant!' Fifi Box Fifi is adored in Melbourne where she has hosted the Fox FM breakfast show for more than 10 years. ' Fifi allows the audience to feel like we're a friend, and that's very hard to do,' Churi said. ' I remember listening to Fifi and Jules when I was in high school,' he added. 'When she went on maternity leave and had her baby, I was invested. 'I was like, 'is Fifi in labour? Has Fifi given birth?' 'It was my royal baby!' he joked. Fifi Box. Jackie O. Picture: John Appleyard Jackie O Over the years, some have suggested that Jackie O has ridden on the coat-tails of her controversial co-host, Kyle Sandilands. It's an unfair suggestion, because Jackie is one of the most talented broadcasters Australia has ever known. 'She's the brains behind that machine,' Churi said about The Kyle and Jackie O Show. 'Jackie's smart. 'She knows the image, she knows the brand so well, and the key to their success, I think, is a genuine friendship.' Mick Molloy The popular Aussie comedian has enjoyed a long relationship with Triple M, and currently hosts the station's breakfast show in Melbourne. 'He's very smart and knows that audience like no one else,' Churi said about Molloy. 'Of all the commercial stations in Australia, the Triple M audience is very peculiar … They know exactly what they want and he (Molloy) gives it to them every time. He's a genius!' Mick Molloy. Picture: Benny Capp Tim Blackwell. Tim Blackwell This is the radio star who in my opinion is criminally underrated. Blackwell has co-hosted the Nova drive show since 2011, and a large part of its ratings success over the years is down to him. Not only does he co-host, but he also panels the show (controls the mics, faders etc) and drives a lot of the show's content. 'The work that man does is more than any broadcaster in this country, hands down,' Churi said. 'I filled in for Tim when he was off sick a few months ago. I was panelling and I was hosting and I almost had a stroke! 'He commands that show, and I completely agree, he's slept on (underrated).' Amanda Keller I challenge you to find me one person who doesn't like Amanda Keller. Currently hosting the Gold FM breakfast show in Sydney, Keller has been one of Australia's most loved entertainers for decades. 'She's a very special talent,' Churi said about Keller. 'Amanda Keller is an intelligent woman. It's that intelligence and wit that we all wish we had, and it's also an ability to be really earnest and really honest with her audience. ' Having a breakfast radio show requires you to just lay everything bare on the table, and she is 100 per cent herself. 'She's not afraid to get on there and cry … and then the next break … she's making you laugh your ass off.' Amanda Keller. Picture: Brendon Thorne Marty Sheargold. Marty Sheargold The comedian parted ways with Triple M under a cloud of controversy earlier this year, but that shouldn't erase the incredible career he had before it. Sheargold was hilarious on the legendary Nova show, Kate, Tim and Marty, and enjoyed a loyal audience when he moved to Triple M to host The Marty Sheargold Show. Mitch Churi's top three When asked to pick his three favourites from the shortlist of 10, Churi named Amanda Keller, Tim Blackwell and Jackie O. What do you think? Have your say in the poll above.
