While the six-time Super Bowl champion was entertained by jokes and jabs surrounding him, some quips cut a little close to home. On a recent episode of the "Impaulsive" podcast, Brady detailed that the roast was "tough" on his kids. "I do understand that, for my kids, it was really hard," he said. ... There's no perfect manual for it, and you gotta evaluate yourself as a parent, too, all the time." Brady added that his children were being "protective" of their parents. "They're protective, of their mom, of their dad, of everybody," Brady said. He added that his children asked, "'what was the point of that?'" in regards to the roast. It's not the first time Brady has admitted that the roast has affected his family. Speaking on "The Pivot" podcast in 2024, the passer said that the roast and its fallout was a "good lesson" for him as a parent. 'I loved when the jokes were about me, I thought they were so fun. I didn't like the way that it affected my kids,' Brady said on the podcast. 'It's the hardest part about – the bittersweet aspect of – when you do something that you think is one way, and then all of a sudden you realize, I wouldn't do that again because of the way that it affected, actually, the people that I care about the most in the world." Brady said that he enjoyed the production as a whole despite the jabs surrounding his personal life. "I love laughing at myself, it felt like I was in the locker room," he said. "The harder people go at me, I'll actually love it." Brady is currently a color analyst for Fox sports in addition to owning a stake in the Raiders.

Tom Brady's Netflix roast was "really hard" on his children. The 47-year-old sporting icon has always been able to laugh at himself, but Tom confessed that 'The Roast of Tom Brady' was actually very difficult for his kids. The NFL legend - who has Jack, 17, with Bridget Moynahan, as well as Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12, with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen - said on the 'Impaulsive' podcast: "It was tough on my kids. "I love laughing at myself. It felt like I was in a locker room, and the harder people go at me I actually love it." On the other hand, Tom's kids found it tough to cope with the Netflix roast. He said: "I do understand, like, for my kids, that was really hard." 'The Roast of Tom Brady' featured jokes about the sport star's split from Gisele, and Tom was also mocked for some of his career setbacks. The Super Bowl-winning star - who was married to Gisele between 2009 and 2022 - now considers the roast to be a mistake. Tom and Gisele announced their split in 2022, and the sports star previously insisted that his children would be his number one priority moving forwards. He wrote on Instagram at the time: "In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve. (sic)"

Actress-comedian Nikki Glaser has assured that she's not as mean as some people may think. While her jokes may triigger some, at the end of the day, she's just her job. However, she also believes in issuing clarifications for jokes that seem harsh. The 40-year-old comedian recently revealed one of her Golden Globes jokes weighed a bit more heavily on her than others, reports 'People' magazine. She said during the TIME100 Summit, "I think I get a reputation of being mean because of the roast, but I'm hired to (be) mean for those". During Wednesday's TIME100 Summit, Glaser admitted, "The Golden Globes, I feel like the one joke that I would've been like, 'That was kind of mean,' was, I said that Selena Gomez is here because of Emilia Perez and Benny Blanco is here because the genie granted him that one wish and looking back, I was like that was pretty mean". She continued, "Because everyone's like he's not attractive enough for her and for me, I never looked at them and actually thought that. I feel like she won too with it, like I think he's really cool". The comedian said the joke didn't come from "a mean place", which made her feel that her punch lines were okay to say. Kevin Hart to star in Tim Story-directed comedy '72 Hours'
Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is set to star in the comedy 72 Hours, which is being directed by Tim Story. The film follows a 40-year-old executive who hopes to save his flailing career by joining a group of twentysomethings on a wild three-day bachelor party after he's inadvertently added to their group text. Ross Fanger is executive producing, reported Deadline. The film is being produced under a partnership in which Sony Pictures will offer Netflix a first look at any films it intends to make for streaming. When Hart recently committed to star, followed by his Ride Along director Story, the project gained new life and has become a high priority for Netflix. The film is part of their long-standing relationship, bringing comedy to the platform. Last year, they released Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only, The Roast of Tom Brady, and Lift, which became the #1 global movie on Netflix, with 32.8 million views and 58.5 million hours viewed in its first three days on the platform. Before that, their 2022 film Me Time also debuted as the #1 movie, reported Deadline. The narrative has directed eleven major studio feature films, eight of which started at number one at the box office on their first weekend: Tom & Jerry, Ride Along 2, Think Like A Man Too, Ride Along, Think Like A Man, Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, and Barbershop. His films have grossed more than $1 billion (Dh3.67 billion) at the box office, making him the first Black director to achieve this milestone, reported Deadline.
