Chicago Sky Star 'Done' With Angel Reese After Thursday's Antics
The Chicago Sky may have to work through chemistry problems just two games into the 2025 season. During Thursday night's game against the New York Liberty, All-Star forward Angel Reese failed to make a single shot despite being on the floor for 28 minutes. There was a moment where she refused to pass the ball to her teammates because she was hellbent on scoring in the paint. Advertisement Once Reese missed her third attempt, Sky center Kamilla Cardoso walked away from her teammates. Although she may have been getting a head-start on playing defense, it certainly came across as if she was fed up with Reese's antics. After all, Reese could've kicked the ball out to any of her teammates. Instead, she kept forcing the issue against the Liberty's ferocious defense. WNBA fans are convinced that Cardoso is done playing with Reese, albeit that hasn't been said by any reliable sources. Angel in the way," a third fan commented. "Everyone been saying it. The team tries to play through the wrong player that it makes it miserable for everyone else. Good coaches / players don't force anything," a social media user pointed out. The Sky are now 0-2 this season, with both losses coming in blowout fashion. Next up for the Sky is a showdown with the Los Angeles Sparks. Perhaps they'll get in the win column this Sunday. Prayers Pouring In For Beloved 'TODAY' Show Host
During this Friday morning's edition of NBC's "Today," Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and the rest of the team had devastating news to share with their audience. "Today" host Sheinelle Jones has been off air since Dec. 18, 2024. She revealed in January that she was away from NBC to take care of a "family health matter." "Hi everybody ... I sincerely appreciate all of you who have reached out while I've been absent from the show. I want to share with you that I'm taking time to deal with a family health matter," Jones wrote on Instagram. "It's not lost on me how lucky I am to have not only the support of my Today Show family, but to also have all of you. Your kindness means so much to me. I'll see you soon. Love, Sheinelle." Fast forward to May 25, and it was revealed that Jones suffered a tragic loss. Her husband, Uche Ojeh, died at the young age of 45. Ojeh was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. "There are no words for the pain that we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children," Guthrie said. "Uche was an incredible person. We all loved him. ... We just want to say Sheinelle, Kayin, Uche and Clara and the Ojeh family: we are with you, we love you. You are our family and we're just sending all of our love to you right now." NBC host Craig Melvin added, "He loved those kids more than anything else in this world, and was just so proud. He was that dad that was on the sideline of every soccer game. He was at all of the concerts and the recitals. He was that guy." Jones and Ojeh were married for 18 years and had three children together - Kayin, Clara and Uche. Earlier this Friday, Jones posted this brief message on Instagram: "Thank you, for all of your love and support." Jones' husband was described as the "kind of person who brought life, warm and joy to every room." He will be missed. Cameraman Accused Of 'Wildly Inappropriate' Shot During Women's Tennis Match
A cameraman at a women's tennis match has been accused of a "wildly inappropriate" shot. Danielle Collins, the 31-year-old American tennis star, was facing Emma Raducanu in Strasbourg. Collins topped Raducanu, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, in a three-set match in the Internationaux de Strasbourg tournament in France. However, Collins was not happy with the behavior of a cameraman during the match. Advertisement The cameraman had positioned himself close to the player benches on the court during a change. The cameraman focused in on Collins, which prompted the American tennis star to lash out, claiming that he was being "wildly inappropriate" with his positioning. Danielle Collins was not Channel. Collins ended up getting out of her seat and confronting the cameraman, saying that he needed to give both her and her opponent, Raducanu, some space. 'I need to get water. We're on a changeover. You don't need to be that close to me and you don't need to be on top of Emma. It's wildly inappropriate," she could be heard saying. Collins is well within her right to ask for the cameraman to give her and her opponent some space. Raducanu was standing up during the break, as she was dealing with a back injury. Advertisement However, the cameraman's positioning was pretty typical for a tennis match. He goes where his producers tell him to go and most of the time during matches, the cameramen will get pretty close to the player benches, to get a sense of their emotions during the match. Collins is known for her emotional display during matches, too. Back in January, she put on a major show during the Australian Open. Collins clearly is not afraid to show major emotion during matches, which is probably why the cameraman wanted to get so close to her during Wednesday's match. You never know what's going to happen. Advertisement But was the cameraman out of line with his "wildly inappropriate" shot during the match, as Collins put it? Sound off in the comments below.
