Charlie Cox jokes Jamie Dornan was 'too good looking' to make it as an actor
Charlie Cox thought Jamie Dornan he was "too good looking" to make it in Hollywood. The 'Daredevil: Born Again' star has recalled his pre-fame friendship group - which also included Andrew Garfield, Robert Pattinson and Eddie Redmayne - and their early struggles in Los Angeles. Speaking to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', he said: "My memory back then was that Andrew… he was dangerous. We were worried about him. "And then the joke — oh, he'll probably kill me for saying this — the joke was Jamie went through a very dry patch at one point, and we genuinely thought it was because he was too good looking. "I would say, 'It's just not — you're not believable! It's not believable. You can't get cast in anything!' ' Jamie would later have his huge breakthrough role in the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' franchise, and has appeared in the likes of 'The Tourist' and 'Belfast'. However, fame and success didn't necessarily come easy for the entire group, and they were convinced it was a "stupid dream" early in their careers. Charlie added: "I have an amazing photo on my computer of us on the beach at Venice, all unemployed, all broke, waiting for the next audition. 'Basically waiting for someone to tell us we were talentless so we could just go home and let go of this stupid dream.' And they would often find themselves auditioning for the same parts. He said: "We'd all put each other on tape, and help each other, and then be like, 'Did you hear anything? I didn't hear anything. Did you hear anything?' ' Meanwhile, Eddie is amazed by what the group of friends have managed to achieve in Hollywood. Speaking to The Independent newspaper, he said: "We were just a group of dreamers trying to become actors. "And we'd all been told that it was an impossible trade - and it is an impossible trade, just as the amount of unemployment is so extreme - so we're all quite astonished that we're still here and working. "It's a weird one, though, because in the early days it was profoundly intense, because we were all competing against each other for everything. "So these were friendships that were certainly wrestled through, but always with great love and respect."

Amazon Prime adds all seasons of crime drama that is 'too underrated' and leaves fans wanting more
Even more viewers can rediscover the hit show Amazon Prime has just added all episodes of what fans are calling the 'best crime drama ever', which is 'too underrated'. The Fall, a gripping three-season series, is now available on the retail giant's streaming platform. It can be found in the app's recently added TV and movies section, ready for subscribers to dive back into the show. This isn't the first time it's been made readily available for binge-watching. At the time of writing, it's still accessible via Netflix as well as BBC iPlayer for free. However, the iPlayer currently states it will only be available for a few more months on its platform. First aired on BBC One in 2013, the show's synopsis reveals it follows the intertwined lives of two hunters - a serial killer hiding in plain sight and the detective desperate to catch him, reports Surrey Live. The villain, Paul Spector, masquerades as an ordinary family man, but goes on to murder several working women. When Stella Gibson, an investigating officer, takes over the cases, her past collides with the present. The cast is led by X-Files and Sex Education star Gillian Anderson as Detective Stella Gibson. Alongside her is Jamie Dornan, in one of his earlier roles before starring in The Tourist and Belfast. Upon its original release, it was a critical success, achieving a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its debut season. Overall, across its three instalments, it averages a score of 85%. When it first hit the screens, critics couldn't stop singing its praises. One critic gushed: "This show is binge watching at its best; it's at once compulsively watchable and intelligent, well-written and beautifully acted with compelling performances to boot." There's a buzz among fans who missed The Fall during its initial release, urging new viewers to dive in for a binge-worthy experience. Many argue it's worth rewatching multiple times. A Reddit user expressed their admiration, posting: "The Fall is too underrated. I have rewatched this series four times now. Every once in a while, it draws me back to the show." They continued to praise the show, saying: "The writing and acting are definitely top-notch. What sets this series apart from others is that it makes people relate to the characters, even the killer. It's just too real, like it's happening in our lives." Another fan was succinct in their praise: "Best crime drama ever. Astonishingly deep, it explores a wide range of different issues through it's characters." And yet another viewer was effusive: "Outstanding in every way. A truly well written and superbly acted thriller. Jamie Dornan blows you away with this character, so far removed from the engaging, charming characters he has played. Always loved Gillian Anderson, but have high regard for her talent after seeing her very deep and complex portrayal of this female detective." A fan couldn't contain their excitement about the series, raving: "Absolutely loved this series. I could not stop watching it and never wanted it to end. Brilliantly written, a plot that never failed to excite with characters that were mesmerizing. An insight into the dark depths of the human psyche, wanting to look away but being enthralled and captured by its essence."

The Fall star Jamie Dornan announces major career change
The pair aims to share stories from Northern Ireland, where they were born. Actors Jamie Dornan and Conor MacNeill have launched a new production company, Blackthorn Films. The company is based in Northern Ireland, where the two were born and raised. They met on the set of the 2015 film The Siege of Jadotville, and have co-starred in projects like The Tourist, The Fall and Belfast. 'Blackthorn Films was born out of a shared desire to create indigenous stories from the island of Ireland that have a true global reach,' said Dornan and MacNeill. 'The company's aim is to produce work that flips the lens and presents fresh narratives, particularly from the North of the country.' Blackthorn recently received the BBC's TV Small Indie Fund, an effort that supports grassroots production companies across the UK. They also hired producer Shauna Shivers-McAtamney to oversee their film and TV docket, who's worked as a script editor for BBC-Hulu's adaptation of Sally Rooney's Conversations With Friends, BAFTA-nominated comedy The Dry and the upcoming drama Trespasses. 'We are both most creatively content when working at home, and we are excited to collaborate with the wealth of skilled and talented filmmakers there, many of whom we have worked with before,' the pair said. 'The professionalism, positive mindset and down-to-earth nature of the key talent and crews in Ireland, North and South, is something we want to harness and embolden.'

EXCLUSIVE ABC star Greg Larsen launches disgraceful attack on Anzac Day
An Aussie comedian and former ABC star has gone on a shocking rant about Anzac Day, claiming he refuses to commemorate the national day as he considers it a 'myth'. Greg Larsen made the comments in an episode of his podcast, The Greg Larsen Show, uploaded from a Sydney hotel room on Thursday. The Queensland man, who has made regular appearances on the ABC and Channel Seven and also starred in BBC One drama The Tourist, was in the Harbour City as he prepared to perform in the Sydney Comedy Festival. 'So Anzac Day is here again. I want to stoke some controversy,' said Mr Larsen in the episode. 'Here's my hot take: I reckon I could beat all the Anzacs in a fight. 'There, I said it. I reckon they're not so tough.' He clarified that he was joking that he wanted to fight the Anzacs. But Mr Larsen's tone then became serious as he explained why he refused to commemorate Anzac Day. 'I believe, and I believe this firmly, that Anzac day was invented as a jingoistic, nationalistic myth to get you to wave a flag and fall in line. 'And I believe that the very existence of Anzac Day as a commemoration is a slap in the face to everyone who died at Gallipoli. 'And laying a wreath while saluting the flag is the same as p***ing on the graves of the poor souls who died like dogs in the dirt for no good reason.' Mr Larsen's reasoning was that the concept of a nation state was 'actually pretty new... we invented countries around 300 years ago'. 'Australia's myth is the Anzacs - that's our myth, that's where we believe the country was founded, and it wasn't. 'We believe that Australia grew up that day and that we became a nation on that day, and I believe that is all total f***ing horses***. Vietnam veteran Michael von Berg MC OAM told Daily Mail Australia he was saddened by Mr Larsen's comments. 'Anzac Day for us is that one day where all services from the defence family come together to remember those friends we've lost, and I've lost a lot of them,' Mr von Berg said. 'Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but I would wager his (Mr Larsen's) is not shared by the majority of Australians. 'His suggestion that it's a "myth" - well you say that to the next of kin of all the service men that have been killed. It defies logic, basically. 'He's probably a comedian of no consequence and sometimes when you're not getting good reviews or ratings you come out with something quite extraordinary to get some notoriety.' Mr von Berg worried that Mr Larsen's comments were part of a 'left-wing trend of knocking anything of national importance'. 'You've got people out there not gifted with a lot of knowledge or history. We all know Gallipoli was a mistake but that's not the mistake of the soldiers who died there. Denigrate war, but don't denigrate the soldier. 'We're under attack from all quarters from people who simply don't love our country, our, flag, and our traditions, and it's very sad.' Mr von Berg was a platoon commander in Vietnam who was awarded a Military Cross for his actions in 1966. His citation states that he 'showed a complete disregard for his own safety' to lead his troops in successfully driving back an enemy attack after they were ambushed in a ravine, saving their lives.
