Emirates First Class check-in lounge has just opened at DXB
Emirates has officially opened a brand-new luxurious check-in lounge at Dubai International Airport. Now open at Terminal 3 of DXB, Emirates First provides first class and Skywards Platinum members a spacious, opulent and refined private seating area. The previous first class check-in lounge was closed in January to allow upgrades to be carried out. The lounge provides high-end Emirates customers with iPads to carry out the formalities of the check-in process while sitting comfortably. Alternatively, check-in desks are still available to travellers and baggage can be dropped off here. Once checked in, first class customers can breeze through security and immigration before moving to one of three lounges in Terminal 3 departures. Grand columns flank the space while wooden floors are mixed with marble flooring and soft carpeting lies underfoot in seating areas. The area features leather and soft fabric armchairs and sofas. Rolex clocks keep passengers aware of times from major cities around the world. All digital screens and advertising have been removed from the area, allowing the soft integrated lighting to create a more relaxed atmosphere. Emirates currently has seven lounges in Terminal 3 with three catering for First Class customers and three for Business Class as well as a lounge for all premium customers. First Class customers flying from DXB can use a chauffeur service to get to-and-from the airport. Adel al Redha, Emirates' Deputy President & Chief Operating Officer, said that the new space provides another level of hospitality. He said: 'We invest heavily in upgrading our ground products, and Emirates First is one of the areas that will offer a unique and private environment to our First Class customers and Skywards Platinum members. 'We know our customers value privacy and convenience, and this will provide another level of hospitality to the check-in experience, as part of our efforts to continuously uplift the overall travel journey.'
