Trump hits back at Springsteen: ‘Never liked his music'

President Trump says he isn't bothered if rocker Bruce Springsteen isn't a fan of his, because he was never a fan of 'The Boss,' either. 'Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he's not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country,' Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Friday, after Springsteen criticized Trump during a stop on his tour in Manchester, England, earlier this week. Springsteen, who supported former Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid against Trump last year, including performing at a Georgia campaign rally for Harris in the fall, told the crowd the U.S. is 'currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.' 'There's some very weird, strange and dangerous s‑‑‑ going on out there right now,' the 'Thunder Road' singer said, ripping the White House for its handling of foreign policy, immigration and free speech, among other issues. He also blasted lawmakers for failing to 'protect the American people from the abuses of an unfit president and a rogue government.' But Trump dismissed the rock legend's concerns and struck back. 'This dried out 'prune' of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that's just 'standard fare,'' Trump wrote. 'Then we'll all see how it goes for him!' Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, an ardent supporter of Trump, also tore into Springsteen during Thursday's episode of 'The Five,' calling the musician, who is an Emmy Award away from EGOT status, a derogatory slur that got a different Fox News contributor suspended for using on air a decade ago. In a separate Truth Social post Friday, Trump, who is traveling back to the U.S. from a diplomatic trip to the Middle East, also mocked pop superstar Taylor Swift, another Harris supporter. 'Has anyone noticed that, since I said, 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?' the president mused, referring to a post he wrote days after the singer-songwriter endorsed Harris and urged her fans to register to vote. Swift wrapped up her record-setting 'Eras Tour' in December. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

But her captors have made one crucial mistake—they've underestimated a woman with 35 years of surgical precision and a mind as sharp as her scalpel. Actress Michelle Yeoh leads the cast of action movie The Surgeon

Actress Michelle Yeoh is to star in action movie The Surgeon. The 62-year-old actress has signed up to star in the flick produced by Thunder Road, the company behind the John Wick action-thriller franchise. The movie follows a retired surgeon (Yeoh), who is abducted and forced to operate on a mystery patient. Although she is heavily outnumbered, her captors have overlooked the greatest weapon she has – 35 years of surgical experience, leading to an explosive and brutal confrontation in which she outwits and cuts down her enemies in a visual style unlike anything seen before. It is hoped that the flick could mark the beginning of a franchise. Roshan Sethi, a physician and co-creator of the medical drama series The Resident, is writing and directing the film – which is being produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee for film company Thunder Road together with John Schoenfelder and Russell Ackerman for publisher NeoText. Producer Patrick Wachsberger and film production house Legendary Entertainment's co-owned joint venture, 193, will launch sales on the project at the Cannes market. Sethi said: "I'm so excited to bring something brand new and innovative to the action genre based heavily on my medical background. "I cannot think of a better partner than Michelle, the iconic queen of action who will be using her skills in a different and surprising way in this film, and the producing teams at Thunder Road, 193 and NeoText." Iwanyk added: "Roshan wrote an incredibly complex and compelling character that was able to excite one of the world's greatest actresses, Michelle Yeoh. I can't wait to see what that collaboration cooks up.

I can't wait to see what that collaboration cooks up. "And to work again with Patrick, who was so instrumental in getting the 'John Wick' and 'Sicario' franchises made, is a great thrill for Thunder Road." Michelle played the role of Madame Morrible in the movie adaptation of 'Wicked' but confessed that she had never heard of the hit stage musical before being asked to join the cast by director Jon M. Chu. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actress said: "At that point I had no clue what he was talking about because I had not seen 'Wicked' the musical before. I knew 'Wizard of Oz', who doesn't, but not 'Wicked' because I hadn't been going to the theatres and not doing what I love which is watching musicals, for quite a while I hate to say." Yeoh's character sings in the film, but she explained that she was "terrified" about using her vocals onscreen for the first time. The 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' star said: "I was terrified, I was not just nervous ... The process of exercising, learning to use the muscles in a different way, was actually very, very good for me because it helps with my voice as an actor. So I had fun."
