Tiffany Stratton roasts legends on SmackDown; Alexa Bliss hits back!

Tiffany Stratton and Alexa Bliss (Image via WWE) The road to WWE Money in the Bank just got a lot more explosive. Tiffany Stratton, the current WWE Women's Champion, didn't hold back when she grabbed the mic on SmackDown. With the ladder match drawing near, Stratton used her moment to deliver a fiery message, but it quickly turned into a storm. Two major names from WWE's past, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair weren't too happy with what she had to say, and things got personal in a hurry. Stratton's confidence was off the charts as she reminded fans of how far she's come. She talked about her huge leap from being a rookie with hype last year to now holding the Women's Championship. She made sure everyone remembered that she beat top stars like Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair, and warned that whoever wins the upcoming Money in the Bank match better think twice before cashing in on her. Alexa Bliss brings the heat into the conversation, Charlotte Flair wants it all Tiffany Stratton's promo was going smoothly until Alexa Bliss showed up. Bliss didn't just return to say hi, she came with a warning. She reminded Stratton and the crowd that she's a five-time Women's Champion and a past Money in the Bank winner. Bliss pointed out that Stratton's title win was a copy of what she did years ago. She even hinted that she might cash in on Stratton if she wins again. That wasn't the end. Charlotte Flair then walked out, getting loud boos from the crowd. Still, she stood firm and told Stratton that while she's done almost everything in WWE, the Money in the Bank briefcase is the one thing missing from her career. Flair made it clear that she's not just looking for another title; she's after the spotlight, too. Stratton looked both veterans in the eye and made a statement that instantly grabbed attention. Tiffany Stratton's 'vintage' line sparks reactions Tiffany Stratton hit back hard with a bold insult, saying: 'You guys are a little too vintage for me.' This line was aimed at Bliss and Flair's age and long-time careers in WWE. Stratton, just 26 years old, made it clear that she sees herself as the future. She told them they might've been the standard in the past, but now she is the upgrade. Her words left a strong impact, but they also caused a backlash. Alexa Bliss quickly responded online. She posted on social media: 'funny being called 'vintage' by the cheap imitation #Smackdown #BlissInTheBank' Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair tried to qualify for the Money in the Bank match but failed. Giulia won the match by pinning Zelina Vega. Bliss, on the other hand, has already qualified. She'll join Roxanne Perez, Rhea Ripley, and Giulia in the ladder match, with two spots still open. Tiffany Stratton may be the champion for now, but with legends and new stars coming for her, the pressure is rising fast. 'Tiffy Time' might be ticking toward trouble. Nia Jax is the first person to ever kick out of the Prettiest Moonsault Ever

The main event of tonight's (May 16) episode of SmackDown featured Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE women's championship against Nia Jax. This was presented like an epic title match with both stars going above and beyond in their quest to walk out with the gold. In the case of Jax, she actually kicked out of Stratton's Prettiest Moonsault Ever (PME) finishing move. The commentators noted it's the first time anybody has ever done that. Advertisement Tiffany would not stay down either. Just when it looked like Nia had the match won after countering Tiffany's power bomb into the Annihilator, Stratton grabbed the rope during the pin fall to force a break. I almost forgot to mention the earlier part where Naomi came down to the ring with a steel chair, presumably to try to ruin the end of the match. Jade Cargill chased her away, but Nia later got her hands on the chair that Naomi left behind. This proved to be her undoing when Stratton dropkicked it into her face. That led to another PME, which kept Jax down for the three count this time. Just like that, Tiffany Stratton is still your WWE women's champion. Nia Jax reveals gruesome facial injury after brutal chair shot goes wrong on live TV in WWE title loss to Tiffany Stratton

Nia Jax has revealed the extent of the injury she suffered during her showdown with Tiffany Stratton on Friday night. On this week's WWE SmackDown in Greensboro, North Carolina, Jax set her sights on ending Stratton's reign as WWE Women's Champion. The highly anticipated match had fans on edge, with Jax determined to dethrone the rising star and claim the title for herself. Unfortunately for for the 40-year-old, her bid for the title ended in disappointment - and she left with a gruesome face injury. Late in the match, Jax tried to use a chair while the referee was distracted, but Stratton dropkicked it into her face with full force, then pinned her for the win. Jax revealed the extent of her injuries in an Instagram post following the show, where a deep gash above her eye - caused by the chair impact - was clearly visible. Jax had set her sights on ending Stratton's reign as WWE Women's Champion on Friday Alongside the photo, she captioned it with, 'Nobody makes me bleed my own blood!' And Stratton didn't hold back in the comments, swiftly replying with a smirking emoji and the cheeky remark, 'I did.' The match marked another chapter in the ongoing rivalry between Jax and Stratton, which began on January 3 when the latter cashed in her Money in the Bank contract and dethroned Jax to kick off her championship reign. For a moment on Friday's show, it seemed as though Jax was on the verge of reclaiming the WWE Women's Championship after making history. She became the first woman on the main roster to kick out of Tiffany Stratton's Prettiest Moonsault Ever, shifting the momentum in her favor and putting her in a strong position to seal the win. Just as the match reached its peak, chaos erupted as former champion Naomi charged down the ramp, appearing to target Stratton, but was quickly cut off by Jade Cargill. The two brawled out of view, leaving the ring action to continue. Jax capitalized on the distraction, crashing down on Stratton in the corner for a close pinfall. However, Stratton managed to grab the bottom rope at the last second, narrowly keeping her title hopes alive before eventually retaining her title.

Charlotte Flair Has Temper Tantrum On WWE SmackDown, Walks Out During Promo

It was a bad night for Charlotte Flair on WWE SmackDown. Charlotte Flair made her WWE return tonight for the first time since WrestleMania 41. The Queen went out to the ring to cut a promo before the live crowd. However, it didn't work out as she expected it to. Advertisement As Flair ran down her WrestleMania opponent, Tiffany Stratton, she began to explain her path back to the WWE Women's Championship. This was something the live crowd wanted no part of and got on her relentlessly. The reaction rattled Flair as she told the crowd she'd leave forever if they didn't show her some respect. The WWE Universe piled on, and Flair slammed the microphone down and stormed out of the ring. She was passed by Jade Cargill, who was on the way to the ring for her match, and told Flair on the microphone to get to the back of the line. Backstage, Flair bickered with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who told her she can't have a temper tantrum when things don't go her way. Flair tried to leave the building, but was stopped by Alexa Bliss, who suggested the two of them should have a chat.
