Think Your F50 is Complete? These Rare Factory Gems Beg to Differ
Having a supercar or any other car whose value rivals that of a small house is only part of the ownership experience. Manufacturers know that without those select few who can afford their flagship models, they would very likely not be in business. To make your ownership experience even more special, and to hopefully have you come back in the future, everyone from Ferrari and Lamborghini to Koenigsegg, Pagani, and Bugatti will include some kind of accessory or item(s) that go(es) along with your new supercar. What happens when those supercars exchange hands, though? It's likely that some of the items that were originally included with the car either get misplaced or the original owner hangs on to them either by mistake or as a keepsake. That's where companies like AutomobiliaX come in, whose sole focus is to make sure that your ownership experience is as complete as it can be by sourcing these special items or accessories. Examples of this vary wildly, from an original Bugatti EB110 Tool Kit to the Porsche Carrera GT Pre-Delivery Package, but here are two snazzy items you might not have known came with one of Ferrari's most prized examples: the F50. It should be common sense, of course, that one can't simply drive a Ferrari F50 in a pair of New Balances. That's where the Tod's Ferrari Driving Shoes come in. The Italian luxury brand Tod's has a history of collaborating with Ferrari on special driving shoes, but the F50 driving shoes were made exclusively for Ferrari F50 owners. The shoes featured an F50 label inside and were made by Tod's "Competition" department to make sure you knew they were special. Finding these is about as rare as hen's teeth, but how sweet would you look coming out of your Ferrari F50 with these bad boys on? Your car might have come with a branded document pouch, but I can promise you it won't beat the official Ferrari F50 document pouch. Not only was it engraved with the original owner's initials, but it also contained a second, numbered inner pouch made by the famed Italian leather craftsmen at Schedoni. Here's the real kicker: in the pouch was a letter from Ferrari that asked you how you felt about your F50 experience. That's the closest you would get to Ferrari calling you up to see how you like your car. Each pouch was also linked to the specific F50 it was delivered with, so even if you happen to find one, the chances that it's the one your F50 came with are even slimmer. This is only scratching the surface of supercar-exclusive accessories, but you get the idea. Owning something like a Ferrari F50 is something truly special that goes beyond just the car, to the items that come with it, and the inevitable social interactions at any show or gathering. It's the beauty of all of that combined that makes our automotive hobby so special. Now, yes, most of us would be satisfied with simply owning an F50, but for those select few who absolutely must have the entire package as the manufacturer intended, you know who to hit up. Allagash Brewing Co. will open Scarborough location in July
Apr. 18—Allagash Brewing Co. is on track to open a new location at The Downs in Scarborough in July, the company announced Thursday. Allagash Scarborough, at 10 Market St., will be a reimagined hospitality concept for the Allagash team, with house-made wine and cocktails in addition to beer. A menu featuring food from the team at Bite Into Maine will also be available. Allagash will continue to offer a tasting room and brewery tours at its headquarters in Portland. "For 30 years, Portland has been and will always be our home, but we're excited to reach even more of the Maine community in this new space, as well as folks visiting Maine, by bringing the Allagash experience to Scarborough," founder Rob Tod said in a statement. Tod first announced in 2022 that Allagash would move to Scarborough to be part of The Downs, the state's largest mixed-use development. At the time, he said the Scarborough location would replace the Portland tasting room. Since then, he decided that a new tasting room inside an existing space directly across from the land purchased in 2022 would be a better fit. "Given the building costs and current market realities, using this already existing space at The Downs seems like a better way to move forward with our plans to expand to Scarborough in the immediate term," Tod said. "While this new tasting room will be a pivot from our original plans at The Downs, we're thrilled to be a part of the Scarborough community and invite people to come see what our new tasting space has to offer." Since breaking ground in 2018, The Downs has grown to include Maine's first Costco, other commercial and light industrial spaces and more than 600 housing units. The Downs has recently pivoted to the town center portion of the project. Developers plan to create a gathering space and destination for the community, with a central green surrounded by shops, restaurants, breweries and other amenities. "We're creating a space that can be a community hub for families, our friends in The Downs and Scarborough as a whole," said Emily Wallace, director of hospitality at Allagash. "Much of our staff lives in Scarborough or spends time there with the abundance of beautiful beaches and hikes nearby." Founded in 1995, Allagash is one of Maine's oldest craft brewers, known for its Belgian-style beers, namely its flagship, Allagash White. Tod won a 2019 James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine, Beer or Spirits professional. Copy the Story Link

Art meets craft at Tod's Milan runway show touting 'Artisanal Intelligence'
Tod's showcased its 'Artisanal Intelligence' behind the latest womenswear collection for next fall and winter at the Gallery of Modern Art during Milan Fashion Week on Friday. At the entrance, Italian model Carla Bruni was swathed in a leather dress crafted from strips of scrap leather, a living installation that paid tribute to Tod's craftsmanship. Nearby, artisans hand-stitched the brand's trademark Gommino car shoes in a living display of craftwork. 'Machines will never replace the hands of artisans,'' brand founder Diego della Valle told reporters before the show. Outerwear prevailed at the creative director Matteo Tamburini's third runway collection, featuring tailored leather trenches, intarsia shearling furs and cozy, woolen pea coats. Knitwear alternatively hugged the body over asymmetrical leather skirts, or was belted over sheer skirts. Blouses with broad shoulders meant business, paired with neat trousers. Tamburini said he studied artists' surface treatments to produce the pieces, mimicking their strokes with brushed alpaca wool, combed jacquard and patchwork leather. Actor Keira Knightley was a front-row guest.
