Brad Pitt speaks for first time about bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie being finalised
The Bullet Train and Tomb Raider stars ended the dispute with an agreement earlier this year. Brad Pitt had spoken out for the first time on bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie. The Bullet Train and Tomb Raider stars ended the dispute with an agreement earlier this year Pitt, 61, tied the knot with Jolie, now 49, in 2014 after a whirlwind romance that began on the set of the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith back in 2005. The pair finally parted ways in 2016. The high-profile split led Jolie to file for divorce in the same year. A series of bitter disputes over custody and their business interests followed. Discussing the closure of his divorce proceedings, Pitt said: "No, I don't think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally." The legal wrangles between the pair have included battles over their six children and the division of their shared assets, such as the Château Miraval winery located in France. They share six children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, both 16. Currently, Brad is living in Los Angeles with his partner, 32-year-old jewellery executive Ines de Ramon, Pitt previously discussed the relentless media attention he's faced in an interview with GQ, when he said: "It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way." When quizzed about whether their glamorous appearance at the 2024 British Grand Prix was a strategic move to promote his latest film F1, he dismissed the suggestion of any promotional intent. He remarked: "No, dude, it's not that calculated. If you're living, oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you're living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve." Reflecting on his personal life, Pitt shared: "Mostly I feel pretty... my life is fairly contained. "It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it's like this fly buzzing around a little bit." The actor, who was once married to Jennifer Aniston until their split in 2005, seems to have found a sense of peace amidst the chaos of fame. When the divorce was finalised, Jolie's lawyer released a statement saying: "Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.' Lawyer James Simon added to the Associated Press: "More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. 'This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago.'

Sophie Turner shows off transformation for Lara Croft
Sophie Turner, best known for her iconic role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones , has stunned fans with a jaw-dropping transformation. She is set to become the legendary Lara Croft. The British actress has been training hard, showcasing the strength and agility the Tomb Raider heroine demands. Yet, despite her dedication, rumours swirl that Amazon Prime Video's Tomb Raider series may be cancelled, according to Meri Station. Sophie Turner's physical preparation for the role is nothing short of impressive. She has embraced intense workouts and combat training. This has sculpted a physique that perfectly fits the adventurous and fearless Lara Croft. 'I wanted to honour Lara's legacy while bringing my energy to the character,' Turner shared in a recent interview. 'It's been tough, but I'm ready to dive into this world.' Lara Croft remains a cultural icon, known for her daring exploits and sharp intellect. Turner's fresh take promises to breathe new life into the franchise. She follows in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander. Despite the excitement, the future of the Tomb Raider series hangs in the balance. Reports from the Daily Mail suggest that Amazon has quietly shelved the project after six years of development limbo. The streaming giant is reportedly reassessing its high-budget productions, especially after the costly failure of Citadel . This will be overseen by Jennifer Salke, who also managed the Tomb Raider reboot. Amazon has not officially confirmed the cancellation, but insiders say the project faces significant hurdles. The delay has left fans wondering if they will ever see Turner take on the role. The uncertainty is frustrating, especially given Turner's clear readiness and enthusiasm. Sophie Turner's career has been a remarkable journey. She rose to global fame as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones , captivating audiences for eight seasons. She then joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portraying Jean Grey in Dark Phoenix . Now, she stands poised to become Lara Croft, a role that demands both physical prowess and emotional depth. While the Tomb Raider series' fate remains uncertain, Sophie Turner's commitment shines through. 'I believe in this project and Lara Croft's story,' Turner said. 'I hope we get to share it with the world soon.' For now, South African viewers can only wait and hope that Amazon Prime Video will greenlight the series. Sophie Turner is Ripped for Her Tomb Raider Prep
Sophie Turner may be best known for the role of Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones , and after her run as Jean Grey for X-Men , it looks like she's ready to jump into another franchise with Tomb Raider . Though we don't have an official look at the show yet, Turner has revealed just how jacked she's getting in her preparation for the role of Lara Croft. Check her out: Sophie Turner has been training for her upcoming role as Lara Croft in Amazon's #TombRaider show 💪 — Culture Crave 🍿 (@CultureCrave) May 20, 2025 There have admittedly been rumors that the Tomb Raider series had been cancelled ever since it was announced back in November, but things look to be moving forward as Amazon had just renewed their deal with the producers over at Story Kitchen. It's also worth noting that the series is created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is best known for her work in Fleabag . Admittedly, the Tomb Raider franchise has been having a hard time trying to stay relevant in live-action. The Angelina Jolie films just fizzled out, and nothing came out of the Alicia Vikander reboot. There was an animated series that came out on Netflix last year, but it didn't manage to get the hype it was hoping for. With successful adaptations like Fallout and The Last of Us , maybe Tomb Raider has a better chance at being a series. Though I wouldn't expect as much spectacle with a TV-format, I do think that Waller-Bridge is a great writer, and we can have an interesting characterization of Lara Croft besides the action hero we've all come to know. No release date has been set for the Tomb Raider series on Amazon.

Andor Breakout Star Reveals The Action Role She Wants After Playing Kleya, And I Really Hope Hollywood Is Listening
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. With Andor Season 2 now complete amid the 2025 TV schedule, the Rogue One spinoff has now definitively reached its conclusion. There's a lot to love about the science fiction show (which is streamable with a Disney+ subscription), from its impeccable writing and awesome production values. Of course, the ensemble cast is also pitch-perfect, and relative newcomer Elizabeth Dulau is one of its brightest spots. Now, with the series done, Dulau just revealed a major role she'd love to play at some point – and I'm so here for her taking it on! The up-and-coming British actress played the role of Kleya Marki during both seasons of Andor. Introduced as the assistant of Luthen Rael and a Rebel Alliance communications operator, Kleya's role expanded during Season 2 as she began to perform more fieldwork. Elizabeth Dulau received critical acclaim for her performance during the last stretch of episodes and solidified herself as a fan-favorite. After making her mark on the galaxy far, far away, Dulau now wants to step into the shoes of a certain video game-birthed adventurer: Honestly, a dream role would actually be some sort of action hero – someone like Lara Croft! The people who know me best would not be at all surprised to hear me say that. I idolised characters like her and Indiana Jones as a kid, running around the house fighting imaginary bad guys. I even had a toy bow and arrow! Seeing a female character be that undeniably cool, clever and physically capable was so inspiring to me as a child, and my life would really come full circle if I ever got the chance to be that to other kids. So which Hollywood executives do I have to talk to in order to make this happen? I'm really excited after hearing the House of Guinness tell Country & Town House about her desire to lead the Tomb Raider franchise. Upon giving it thought, there are several reasons as to why she would be a solid fit for the widely loved Lara. As Kleya Marki, Elizabeth Dulau perfectly exudes the character's stoic nature as well as her desire to stand up for those in need or danger. Kleya has a somewhat defiant nature that shines through even during her conversations with Luthen. There's more to the orphaned character than that, though, as there's also a sheer sense of vulnerability to her that especially shines through during the final episodes of Andor. I'd argue that some of Kleya's final scenes represent some of the show's most tender moments. Every single attribute described above could easily be applied to Lara Croft as well, which is why I think the London-born actress could slide right into that role. Of course, there is a physical component to the role of Croft, as her former live-action portrayers, Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, performed stunts while playing the character. I have no doubts, however, that Elizabeth Dulau could throw herself into training and commit to the necessary physicality. The Tomb Raider franchise is an interesting space, from a live-action standpoint. Actress and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge was developing a series for Amazon Prime Video, and Sophie Turner was tapped to play Lara. However, that project was eventually canceled. At present, Hayley Atwell portrays the role in the animated series, The Legend of Lara Croft, which is streamable with a Netflix subscription. Given it's been over seven years since the film starring Alicia Vikander hit theaters, it would be wonderful to see another live-action interpretation of Croft. If another live-action take on the Tomb Raider mythology does come together, I'm not sure if Elizabeth Dulau will actually receive serious consideration. But, given her performance on Andor (which marked her first starring role), she should certainly receive a look from any casting directors. I'll be sitting here crossing my fingers that it happens but, in the meantime, do yourself a favor and check her out on the recently-ended Star Wars show.

Embracer leans on back catalogue as game delays shake industry profits
Tomb Raider owner Embracer is leaning on its back catalogue to maintain cash flow while fewer AAA games are being released, but this is not a long-term shift, CEO Lars Wingefors said on Thursday. As game development becomes slower, riskier and more expensive, studios are facing growing pressure to justify their budgets for major releases in a market where consumer sentiment and profitability are wearing thin. "I think it's more important than ever to make sure the game is polished because it's very hard to repair a buggy or unfinished product," Wingefors told Reuters. French peer Ubisoft showed a similar approach with its newest Assassin's Creed game, which debuted with positive reviews on Steam after being delayed twice. Gaming groups thrived during COVID lockdowns, but delays and weak demand have hit Embracer's new titles, pushing it to lean on older games seen as a safer bet amid faltering blockbusters. It has sold studios to cut costs and manage debt in recent years, and is now splitting into three listed companies. On Thursday, it forecast slight revenue growth and broadly unchanged earnings for its fiscal 2025/26, and said that realistically, at least one of its nine AAA game releases slated for the following two financial years would be pushed back, without specifying titles. GAME DELAYS SHAKE INDUSTRY PROFITS Studios are pouring time and money into increasingly complex games, but returns are hit-or-miss and long delays mean many will not see cash back until much later. On top of it, fewer games break through and slower cash generation strains studios, which has made older titles a more attractive and dependable revenue stream for some. Ubisoft recently delayed key titles and pushed profitability expectations to 2026, underscoring sector challenges in converting content into cash. It told Reuters it planned to be more selective and turn blockbusters into "evergreen" franchises that generate steady revenue long after launch. "We will still look to create some new IPs, but will be more discerning in favour of gameplay breakthroughs based on disruptive or emerging technologies," Ubisoft said. Wingefors also said that tools like AI could boost efficiency over time in minor titles, with the industry rapidly adopting them to improve energy gains and technology sales.
