File Photo by Jim Ruymen/UPI | License Photo June 3 (UPI) -- Dakota Johnson discussed her upcoming movie Materialists and how her co-star Pedro Pascal takes her clothes "a lot" when she stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Monday. The actress, 35, portrays matchmaker Lucy in the romantic comedy, out June 13. "Materialists is about a matchmaker in New York City who is very, very good at her job, and she's also sort of trying to figure out for herself what love means and what is actually really valuable in life," Johnson told Fallon. "It's sort of a bit of a love triangle." The film follows Lucy as she is courted by a wealthy man who lives in a $12 million penthouse apartment (Pascal), and her ex who has not moved on (Chris Evans). Johnson said she knew Pascal prior to shooting. "Pedro and I were homies, yeah," she said. "We actually do hang out all the time, when we're in the same place." Fallon then presented a photograph of the pair at a Stevie Nicks concert in London. "He's wearing my -- that's my sweater," Johnson pointed out. "He does that a lot. He takes my clothes. Yeah, he's like always underdressed -- well, I mean like he's wearing a t-shirt, and it's cold outside. Not like he forgot his pants." Johnson and Fallon also played a game of Fast Forward during the actress' visit to The Tonight Show. Johnson, the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, is best known for starring in Fifty Shades of Grey and its sequels. Album Review: Blue Fish Diamond, Radio Silence
Blue Fish Diamond returns with their third record, Radio Silence, an evocative, socially charged collection that sees them sharpen both their sound and their message. Opening with the propulsive 'Servants To The Hand,' the band immediately sets its political stall out with lyrics such as 'History repeats like a bad disease.' Over subtle electric guitar lines and organ swells, the track becomes a rallying cry for those disillusioned by fear-driven politics, a theme that recurs throughout. The production, courtesy of Gavin Glass, brings polish and emotional clarity to an album that often juxtaposes the personal with the political. Planet Blue is a jazzy, bass-driven highlight, weaving in news soundbites from Greta Thunberg and Donald Trump amid a haunting crescendo. It's an ambitious piece that captures the global anxiety around climate change without feeling didactic. Elsewhere, heartbreak and human connection take centre stage. Tonight is a stripped-down love song that draws strength from Murphy's understated delivery, while One More Chance, fronted by Matilda O'Mahony, channels Broadway theatricality with sweeping strings and a soaring vocal performance. Musically, Radio Silence never overreaches. There's a clear through-line to influences like Paul Simon and Lou Reed, especially in the more intimate, spoken-sung passages. The title track is a dreamy standout as it balances reflection and regret with elegance and seems tinged with some shades of Pink Floyd at times. Although a few moments drift into familiar territory, the band's ability to shift gears – from folk balladry to the post-punk rush of the excellent 'I Don't Know' – keeps things feeling fresh. Radio Silence is a rich, thought-provoking listen and proof that Blue Fish Diamond is crafting something special.

Held at soul-warming Ukrainian eatery Kyiv Social – winner of Time Out Sydney's Impact Award 2025 – this edition of Mum Cha will see Nagi, her mum Yumiko, and RecipeTin's head chef Jean-Baptiste 'JB' Alexandre join forces with Shaun and his mum Shiranie to serve up a delicious eight-course meal to hungry Sydneysiders (hi, that's us) that celebrates culture, generations and stories. Guests will enjoy four shared dishes by Nagi, Yumiko and JB, and four from Shaun and Shiranie, plus a cocktail on arrival and free-flowing red and white wine. It's happening on Saturday, June 28 – kicking off from 1pm. And our favourite bit? Dozer, Nagi's beloved senior golden retriever, will also be making a special guest appearance. A social enterprise, Plate It Forward employs, trains and supports people from marginalised backgrounds and those who have experienced adversity (including refugees from war), shining a spotlight on their stories through their venues, including Kyiv, Colombo Social, Kabul Social and Kolkata Social. So this is a beautiful collab in our books. Created by Shaun and Shiranie, Mum Cha is a monthly celebration of the women and mothers in life who inspire us – and a way to bring people together over love and a banging meal. Watch: Jimmy Fallon, Tom Cruise sing 'Mission: Impossible' theme song
1 of 6 | Tom Cruise arrives on the red carpet at the "Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning" New York premiere on Sunday. He recently promoted the film with an a cappella version of the film's theme song. Photo by John Angelillo/UPI | License Photo May 23 (UPI) -- Jimmy Fallon and The Roots joined Tom Cruise and the cast of Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning to sing the franchise theme song a cappella Thursday. Cruise, 62, appears by taking off an apparent mask of the Tonight Show host -- a nod to the way his character, Ethan Hunt, removes a mask in the film's trailer. The song also features Final Reckoning cast members Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Greg Tarzan Davis and Simon Pegg. Cruise recently stopped by Tonight to discuss how he prepared to dangle 8,000 feet in the air in 140 mph winds for Final Reckoning. "It was pretty intense, I gotta say. I didn't realize, like, that amount of force of air, I can't breathe, so I had to figure out how you're taking that was crazy," he told Fallon. The film, directed by Christopher McQuarrie plays in theaters Friday.

The Smashing Pumpkins to Play First-Ever UAE Show at Etihad Arena
The legendary alt-rock band is bringing its 'Rock Invasion' tour to Abu Dhabi on October 9th with a career-spanning setlist. May 23, 2025 The Smashing Pumpkins are heading to Abu Dhabi for the very first time, bringing decades of alt-rock anthems to Etihad Arena on Thursday, October 9th, as part of their globe-spanning Rock Invasion tour. The Chicago-born icons, led by frontman Billy Corgan alongside original members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, are set to ignite the capital with a career-spanning set that blends grunge-era nostalgia with their latest sonic experiments. Fans can expect to be swept up in the emotional swell of classics like 'Tonight, Tonight', scream along to the angst-fuelled chorus of 'Bullet with Butterfly Wings', and drift back to teenage memories with the shimmering dream-pop of '1979'. But this won't be just a greatest hits show—the band's newer material, including tracks like 'Empires' and 'Beguiled' from their recent albums, will keep things fresh and furious. With over 30 million albums sold, Grammy wins, and a legacy that helped shape the alt-rock movement of the '90s, The Smashing Pumpkins remain one of rock's most dynamic acts—balancing poetry, distortion, and the occasional existential scream. Tickets go live this Friday, May 23rd, at 10 AM via Live Nation Middle East's official website. Set your alarms—because in the words of Billy Corgan, the world is a vampire, and this show will sell fast.
