USC baseball still projected in NCAA Tournament field entering conference tournament week

USC baseball still projected in NCAA Tournament field entering conference tournament week USC baseball is still likely an NCAA Tournament team, but the Trojans need to close the door. We are officially less than a week away from the field being announced for the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament. After wrapping up its regular season over the weekend, USC will head to the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha this week looking to make a final statement to the selection committee. Following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday, D1Baseball released their latest bracket projection. USC was included in the field, as the No. 3 seed in the Austin regional. Also in the Trojans' region were No. 1 (and top overall) seed Texas, No. 2 seed Dallas Baptist, and No. 3 seed Houston Christian. Right now, the Trojans sit on the NCAA Tournament bubble. While D1Baseball has USC mocked in the Tournament, the Trojans certainly cannot feel too comfortable at the moment. Winning at least two games this week would go a long way toward helping ease the nerves come selection day. USC will play Penn State and Washington in Big Ten Tournament group play. The Trojans took two of three from the Nittany Lions during the regular season, but dropped two of three to the Huskies. USC will look to improve its perfomance against both teams this time around in order to punch a ticket to the program's first NCAA Tournament in a decade.
