Fans will also no doubt notice that he seems to have a cybernetic appendage where his right hand should be. "Predator: Killer of Killers" "Predator: Killer of Killers" 20th Century Studios This is only one of at least three Predators viewers will encounter in "Predator: Killer of Killers". Along with the Yautja hunter in this clip, at least one will be battling samurai and ninja in Japan, while a third will be taking on combat pilots in World War II. "Predator: Killers of Killers" is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and Micho Robert Rutare, and written by Rutare. Trachtenberg previously directed the 2022 "Predator" prequel film, "Prey". Trachtenberg has made sure this year would be a busy one for the "Predator" franchise. Along with "Killer of Killers", Trachtenberg directed the live-action film "Predator: Badlands," which releases in theaters in November. Trachtenberg talked to ComicBook back in April about exactly how "Killer of Killers" came to be. "I had three very cool ideas," Trachtenberg said. "One of them, the first one, the one I was the most excited about at the time, was 'Badlands.' But then there was this other thing, that was 'Prey,' [that] was really cool." "We got to put the Predator in these different time periods and tell that story. I think the thing that made 'Prey' special, though, wasn't just Predator in a different time period, it was that the story we were telling was made better by the story of the Predator, and I didn't want to just throw them into a different time period." "I really wanted to figure out, if we were to do that kind of thing again, how could it be special? And what's the kind of story we could tell that could be equally badass and awesome, but also emotional and thematic and character-oriented?" "In thinking about the different time periods, I honed in on the idea of, what if we made an animated movie where we could express ourselves in a way that we don't get to see?" "We've now had all these Predator movies and we're doing this one that's crazy different, but still with all the stuff..." "The other side of the coin that I love in Predator movies is that hard-R, crazy carnage. Wouldn't it be cool to see that in a different medium? So we made this movie, 'Killer of Killers,' at the exact same time, stupidly, but awesomely." "Predator: Killer of Killers" streams on Hulu on Friday, June 6. Obituary: Michelle Trachtenberg, actress
Michelle Trachtenberg poses before the 2007 Filmmakers' Tribute Dinner on Saturday evening at the Longboat Key Club in Longboat Key, Florida on April 21, 2007. Former child star Michelle Trachtenberg graduated from child roles to star in several well-regarded TV shows. The New Yorker grew up on screen, she appeared in her first TV commercials aged 3 and by 10 had appeared not only in a Nickelodeon TV series but starred in hit movie Harriet the Spy. She mixed screen roles and education before landing the role of Dawn Summers, the younger sister of the title character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. More film and TV roles followed before Trachtenberg landed possibly her best-known role, of Georgina Sparks in hit show Gossip Girls — a role she reprised in 2021. In the mid 2010s Trachtenberg mostly retreated from screen roles saying she planned to work on her own projects. Trachtenberg was battling health issues and had a liver transplant in 2024. Leighton Meester opens up about Michelle Trachtenberg's death for first time
Leighton Meester has spoken out over Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg's death for the first time. The 39-year-old died at the end of February, after being found 'unconscious and unresponsive' by police in New York. Her official cause of death was revealed last month as complications from diabetes mellitus. Following the tragic news, many of the late actress' colleagues and close friends shared tributes on social media, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Sarah Michelle Gellar and Gossip Girl's Blake Lively and Ed Westwick. In a new interview, Meester – who played Blair Waldorf opposite Trachtenberg's Georgia Sparks – described the loss as 'devastating'. 'It's devastating,' she told Flaunt Magazine. 'She was a wonderful, talented person, and everyone loved her. It's very, very sad for everyone who knew her. 'Now, I can see that [the show's legacy] continues – in some ways, even more so than back then – to live on, which is incredible.' Gossip Girl originally ran for six seasons between 2007 and 2012, with Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Kelly Rutherford, Matthew Settle and Jessica Szohr also in the cast. Trachtenberg became a firm fan favorite thanks to her role of a young socialite, who would regularly stir up trouble for her pals. Unpacking the role in a 2009 interview, the late star revealed how much fun she had stepping into Georgina's villainous heels. 'It's kind of easy to be evil when you're saying evil things,' she told Seventeen Magazine. 'It's definitely a lot more fun than playing the good girl. I love the reaction you get. 'I never understood why some actors don't want to play villains or evil characters.' Trachtenberg's Gossip Girl colleagues were among the first to publicly pay tribute after her death earlier this year. 'Everything she did, she did 200%,' Lively posted on Instagram. 'She laughed the fullest at someone's joke, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself. 'Time passes. You take for granted that you get the chance to see an old friend. To paraphrase, the real tragedies in life are the ones that blindside you on an idle Tuesday. Hold those you love and have loved dear. More Trending 'The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle. May her work and her huge heart be remembered by those who were lucky enough to experience her fire.' 'So sad to hear of the passing of @MichelleTrachtenberg. Sending prayers,' Westwick said on his own page. Crawford added: 'Michelle was one of a kind. I remember her coming on set for the first time and just absolutely owning it. 'She was a force of nature and just so so unapologetically funny and magnetic… remembering those years with a big smile. Just a terrible loss. Love you.' Got a story?
