NYT ‘Strands' Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Thursday, June 5

Strands NYT Looking for Wednesday's Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: The New York Times' Strands puzzle is a play on the classic word search. It's in beta for now, which means it'll only stick around if enough people play it every day. There's a new game of Strands to play every day. The game will present you with a six by eight grid of letters. The aim is to find a group of words that have something in common, and you'll get a clue as to what that theme is. When you find a theme word, it will remain highlighted in blue. You'll also need to find a special word called a spangram. This tells you what the words have in common. The spangram links two opposite sides of the board. While the theme words will not be a proper name, the spangram can be a proper name. When you find the spangram, it will remain highlighted in yellow. Be warned: You'll need to be on your toes. 'Some themes are fill-in-the-blank phrases. They may also be steps in a process, items that all belong to the same category, synonyms or homophones,' The New York Times notes. 'Just as she varies the difficulty of Wordle puzzles within a week, [Wordle and Strands editor Tracy] Bennett plans to throw Strands solvers curveballs every once in a while.' Time to do the NYT hint and then my own hint after that: Mary, Mary, quite… And mine is: Rhyme words Now we begin the answer portion of the program which is the spangram and the full list of the other answers, the spangram is: GARDEN Here it is on the page, and read on: Strands NYT And the answers are: Strands NYT Well, I hope you're up on your nursery rhymes that first originated in the year 1744, because that's what we're doing today. There are more modern version of the poem, which was originally from England, and we're taking different words from that version, which is: Well, I got contrary, but to get the rest of those I needed a few hints, as this is not exactly what I'm reading to my kids at night. Also, the spangram is just another word, that's not what the spangram is supposed to be. They keep doing this! Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Let's dive in and solve today's puzzle you're trying to learn from today's puzzle or play smarter tomorrow, here's what was revealed before the answer:These kinds of dual-meaning clues can be tricky, especially when you're dealing with limited vowels and repeated answer to today's Wordle, puzzle #1432, is:It's a five-letter word, starts with an A, and features a repeated vowel. The double 'A' is your key to unlocking this one. The word relates both to a sense of danger and the sound or notification you set to wake up. So if you felt a bit of panic during today's game — well, now it makes you're tracking your streak or just curious, the May 20 (puzzle #1431) answer was BORNE. That's a more unusual word that means 'carried or transported.' Another reason to brush up on five-letter vocabulary — Wordle loves often, actually. Words with repeated letters like FIFTH (May 16) or ALARM (today) show up regularly. Based on recent puzzles:It's a reminder to always consider repeating letters even if it feels like you're wasting a guess. Sometimes the repetition is what unlocks the whole a big question. Originally, Wordle creator Josh Wardle selected just over 2,000 handpicked five-letter words, which he and his partner both recognized. Since then, the New York Times has been in charge, and they've already used up more than half that list. Wordle editor Tracy Bennett has acknowledged that they're thinking ahead. She mentioned possibly reusing past answers or expanding to different word formats. In a TikTok response, she suggested:So yes, the current format might evolve, especially as more players hit longer streaks and need fresh possible. While nothing official has been announced, there are signs the game might evolve. Repeating old answers, allowing plurals, or introducing six-letter puzzles are all on the table. These changes could keep the game fresh while still sticking to its original appeal: quick, smart, satisfying charm lies in its simplicity — one word a day, no second chances, and the shared mystery that brings players back daily. Puzzles like ALARM show how a simple word can stretch your brain just enough to be fun without being you want a head start tomorrow, try starting with high-frequency letters like A, R, E, S, T. And don't forget to consider repeat letters — they might just be your winning Wordle answer isYes, the letterappears twice in today's Wordle.

You can find them here: Today we have somewhat of a mouth-watering puzzle for you, depending on what you may be in the mood for. It's not really my thing, but maybe it's yours. The New York Times' Strands puzzle is a play on the classic word search. 'Just as she varies the difficulty of Wordle puzzles within a week, [Wordle and Strands editor Tracy] Bennett plans to throw Strands solvers curveballs every once in a while.' First we will start with the official hint from the NYT and then I will give you one of my own that I think will help you along further. The official hint is: Find the missing links And mine is: Not about neanderthals. Now we move on to the answers for the day and spoilers will follow, so be careful. We will start with the spangram and move on to the full list. The spangram is: SAUSAGES And here's where that lies on the board: Strands NYT Now we will move on to the full list of answers below: Strands NYT So, we have a very specific food group here today, all the different type of sausages, though of course there are many more that would not fit here. I eat breakfast sausage, but the rest of these? Very hard to guess in a few instances. I know what KIELBASAs are but I wasn't quite clear on how to spell it. I was trying to find BRATWURST, but instead it was LIVERWURST which threw me for a bit. I do not actually know what ANDOUILLE sausage is and as such that was my last one and very hard to spell. How did you do? What tripped you up? Follow me on Twitter, Threads, YouTube, and Instagram. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.
