Restrictions have been put in place on the A720 between Hermiston Gait and Lothianburn due to 'congestion'. Traffic Scotland urged commuters to allow extra time for their journey. A crash on a busy motorway near Glasgow has prompted an emergency response. Traffic Scotland announced that it was aware of a collision on the M8 westbound at junction 27 (Arkleston) shortly before midday on Saturday, May 31. Lanes two and three of the carriageway are currently blocked. It is understood that police are on the scene. READ NEXT: Drivers are being warned that traffic is building in the area. Edinburgh drivers using the A720 on Sunday have been warned of delays. Traffic could be seen building on the Edinburgh Bypass from around 1pm, with delays of up to 30 minutes. Motorists have been warned of a 'high volume' at the Gilmerton Junction westbound. Lane restrictions are also in place between the Baberton and Dreghorn Junctions.
