Vijay Sethupathi Praises Thalaivan Thalaivii Co-Star Nithya Menon's ‘Excellence'

Last Updated: Thalaivan Thalaivii promises an amazing blend of drama, comedy and intensely relatable relationship instability. The trailer for the family drama Thalaivan Thalaivii, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, released a day back and it gained a lot of attention. The film presents a unique love story that unfolds like a cat-and-mouse chase between two equally determined people. During a promotional event for the film Vijay Sethupathi expressed his admiration for his co-star Nithya Menen. A report by Mathrubhumi mentioned that while speaking at a promotional event, the actor commended Nithya's tremendous range and devotion, describing her as 'an actor par excellence." He said, 'It's impossible to imagine anybody else in the roles Nithya has played so far." Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen previously shared screen space in the 2022 Malayalam film 19(1) (a). Recalling their time on that project, Vijay said, 'We had always wanted to work together again, and when Thalaivan Thalaivii came our way, it felt like the perfect story for us both." Thalaivan Thalaivii is directed by Pandiraj. It promises a delectable blend of drama, comedy, and intensely relatable relationship instability. The film is due to enter theatres on July 25. Thalaivan Thalaivii features a strong supporting cast, including Yogi Babu, Chemban Vinod Jose, Saravanan, RK Suresh, Kaali Venkat, Aruldoss, Roshni Haripriyan, Muthu Kumar, Deepa and Sendrayan. The film is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan through Sathya Jyothi Films. The soundtrack is handled by Santhosh Narayanan, the camera work is done by M Sukumar, and the editor is Pradeep E Ragav. The trailer begins with a newly married couple's budding romance. However, the tone swiftly swings as issues appear in their relationship, hurting their joint restaurant company. A notice reading 'The place is closed due to unresolved argument" suggests the emotional consequences. What follows appears to be a mix of drama and laughter as the story explores whether the couple will reunite or part ways. Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in Ace, and he has a busy schedule ahead, including Mysskin's next thriller Train and a major action feature starring Tabu, directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Puri Connects. ‘I've always wanted to be a mother, maybe I'd adopt,' says Shruti Haasan, admits she's ‘petrified' of marriage

Actor Shruti Haasan recently spoke about everything from love and marriage to motherhood on a podcast. On Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, she got candid about how she has 'always' wanted to be a mother and why the thought of marriage 'petrifies' her. Here's what she said. (Also Read: Shruti Haasan says Kamal Haasan 'hates it' when she talks about their lives as atheists, can't stand astrology either) Shruti Haasan spoke about why marriage is not something she believes in and more. Shruti Haasan on marriage Shruti has been candid about not wanting to be married for a while now, even when she was dating artist Shantanu Hazarika. She opened up about why she decided that and said, 'I just want to say I'm petrified at the idea of marriage, and I have no fear in saying that. I love wholeheartedly. I worked so hard my whole life to be my own person that the idea of attaching it by a piece of paper feels really scary to me. That's it. But I believe in commitment, and I believe in loyalty, and I believe in all those things that marriage is supposed to represent. I can do that on my own; I don't need a piece of paper.' On wanting to be a mother While she did not take names, Shruti said that she came close to getting married in the past, but the relationship broke down due to compatibility issues. She said it was important for partners to be compatible due to 'potential children' too. When asked about motherhood, she replied, 'I have always wanted to be a mother. But I've never wanted to be a single mother because I think two parents are important for a child. If you can work towards having two parents, that would be great. I am not shaming single parents. Maybe I'd adopt. I think children are fascinating.' Upcoming work Shruti was last seen in Prashanth Neel's 2023 film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. She will soon star in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, Mysskin's Train and H Vinoth's Jana Nayagan, apart from the sequel of Salaar titled Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam, which has yet to go on floors.

Huge music concert cancelled amidst safety fears as fans travel to venue

Lytham Festival has been cancelled due to "adverse weather conditions". The organisers released a statement on Friday evening hours before it was due to start. They said: "Due to adverse weather conditions, we unfortunately have had to make the decision to cancel this evening. The safety of our customers, staff and artists is our priority and increasing high winds mean it would not be safe to go ahead." On Friday, the likes of Alanis Morissette, Train, Liz Phair and more were due to perform. Fans fumed as they took to the festival's socials to claim they didn't find out about the cancellations until last minute. One user said underneath the festival's Facebook post: "Omg I'm literally soaking wet waiting for the flyer and then some kind random lady told me it was cancelled. No email or text from poor comms!" Another furious user commented: "Ridiculous announcement too late, we are in a world where we absolutely know what the weather conditions will be, clearly not prepared with the right equipment. Glastonbury continues if your swimming to the stage. Bloody joke." One questioned why it took them so long to post the news on social media. They said: "We were turned away 40mins ago. Shocking that it's taken this long to officially announce it on social media and your app." This year's festival is supposed to host five nights of live music on Lytham Green on the baks of the Ribble Estuary. Over 100,000 people attend every summer, with the likes of Lionel Richie and Lewis Capaldi previously headlining. Stevie Wonder kicked off this year's festival on Thursday evening with a supporting performance from Corinne Bailey Rae. *This is a breaking showbiz news story. Mysskin breaks silence; Responds to criticism on attending film events drunk, quitting the industry

Director Ram's upcoming film 'Parundhu Po' is all set to release in theatres on July 4. The film features a diverse cast including Mirchi Shiva, Aju Varghese, and Grace Antony. At a recent press meet held in Chennai, the team came together to talk about the project. While there was anticipation about the film, it was director Mysskin's heartfelt and brutally honest speech that deeply moved many in attendance. Mysskin: 'I'm not happy in the cinema anymore' Mysskin spoke with remarkable vulnerability to a reporter's recent comment that his directorial identity had faded after films like 'Pisasu 2' and 'Train'. 'To that friend, I say this humbly — I too feel I should leave the cinema soon,' he said. 'I am not happy in this industry anymore. The joy I once felt is gone. Competition is fierce, and business has become overwhelming.' His words painted a raw picture of a filmmaker grappling with disillusionment while still pouring his heart into his work. A father's plea amid industry chaos In a particularly emotional moment, Mysskin spoke about being invited to many film festivals but declined politely. 'Don't call me unless you're ready to pay ₹5 lakh. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Вот что поза во сне говорит о вашем характере! Удивительные Новости Undo I'll save it in the bank for my daughter's education,' he said, exposing the financial and emotional toll of being an artist in today's cinema world. He acknowledged that he stays in the field, metaphorically, 'bleeding drop by drop,' driven more by duty than delight. Critics, honesty, and a toast to Ram Touching on film criticism, Mysskin offered a grounded perspective. 'Critics have every right to say a film is good or bad. We should accept both with equal grace.' He encouraged everyone to watch Parundhu Poo and speak their mind freely, assuring them that director Ram would take it sportively. On a lighter note, he addressed a long-standing rumor with a smile: 'People say I come drunk to events. I drink only at night, not before attending functions. ' His wit, even in emotional honesty, reflected the duality of a filmmaker who's seen it all.
