Clash of Clans signs NFL Draft star Travis Hunter for viral gaming campaign blitz
NFL's new two-way phenom trades pads for potions in Clash of Clash blitz (Image via Imagn Images) NFL rookie Travis Hunter isn't just making headlines on the field—he's now taking over screens, too. In a fresh collaboration with Clash of Clans, the Jacksonville Jaguars' No. 2 draft pick brings his dual-threat persona to life through a campaign that celebrates both his football talent and gamer identity. The campaign dropped just days after his NFL debut, and it's already dominating timelines. A game-changing crossover for the digital age Hunter's latest ad shows him recruiting players with the punchy line: 'You want to prove your offense and defense? Get signed.' The line perfectly echoes his college legacy, where he stunned fans by starring as both wide receiver and cornerback at Colorado. His rare ability earned him the Biletnikoff and Bednarik Awards in one season—a historic feat. Now, Supercell is doubling down on that identity. As the article puts it, 'Supercell's Clash of Clans has signed a partnership with NFL rookie and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, celebrating his two-way football skills with a special in-game promotion.' Real moments, real marketing magic The ad didn't come out of nowhere. Back on Draft Night, Hunter casually went viral for playing Clash of Clans in the green room—while waiting to be selected second overall. It wasn't a PR stunt; it was just Travis being Travis. That authenticity is exactly what makes the campaign work. By casting him as a clan leader in their 'Summer Jam' promotion, Supercell builds a narrative fans already believe in. It's less about selling the game and more about showing how one of the NFL's brightest stars is already part of the community. Why this ad hits harder than most What makes this commercial stand out is its timing and tone. It's not just about athlete endorsements—it's about cultural synergy. Travis Hunter is the kind of player who blurs lines: between offense and defense, sports and gaming, real life and digital. His quiet confidence, sharp gameplay, and relatable off-field persona make him the ideal ambassador. With younger audiences increasingly looking for stars they can relate to, Hunter's laid-back yet driven energy connects instantly. This isn't manufactured hype—it's alignment. Travis Hunter's wife posts concerning TikTok of her crying after brutal criticism from online trolls
Leanna Lenee, the wife of Jacksonville Jaguars rookie star Travis Hunter, shared a video of her breaking down in tears as she was in the middle of brutal scrutiny from online trolls. Over the past year, Lenee has been at the center of a firestorm of hate from online commenters - especially over perceived slights directed at Hunter - during the 2024 college football season. That season ended with Hunter winning the Heisman Trophy, the second ever won by a player from the University of Colorado, and led to him getting picked second-overall by Jacksonville. A few weeks later, Hunter and Lenee would tie the knot in Tennessee at a glamorous wedding following years of dating. But those years of affection and dating were ignored by trolls who lobbed accusations of gold digging and fame hunting toward Lenee throughout the prior season. Now, Lenee is showing an insight into how that affected her. In a recent video, she posted footage of her from back in December - crying fresh out of the shower. The video, posted to TikTok, had the sound of a Church sermon playing behind it while Lenee spoke into the camera. However, nothing that she said was audible. @leannalenee6 I wish I could go back and hug December me🥹, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way. I don't even recognize this girl anymore. The amount you can grown and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding. I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this. ❤️ Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you. ♬ original sound - ashley hetherington Instead, context for the footage was given in the caption of the video. 'I wish I could go back and hug December me, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way,' Lenee wrote. 'I don't even recognize this girl anymore. The amount you can grown [sic] and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding. 'I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this. Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you.' Comments under the video were supportive, including one from WNBA superstar Angel Reese which read, 'so proud of you bb! the storm doesn't last forever!' 2024 was a rocky season for Lenee and Hunter's relationship as the public cast doubts on Lenee's motives for dating the star. This forced Lenee to defend herself in a lengthy eight-minute video posted after Hunter won the Heisman. As Hunter was announced as the winner of the prestigious award, Lenee initially remained sitting while Hunter's mother and Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders stood up. She was accused of being a gold digger before she tied the knot with the ex-Colorado standout She briefly stood and gave Hunter a hug after Sanders appeared to tap her, but promptly sat back down as Hunter continued embracing his group. Fans took issue with what they perceived to be a slight, sparking horrific backlash on social media. It's one of many perceived snubs Lenee had to address. Others included a tense moment after a game against Oklahoma State and some comments she made as Hunter was taking photos with female fans during a pre-Heisman photo shoot . On a Twitch stream after the ceremony, Hunter revealed that Lenee had cried herself to sleep as she continued to be pelted with criticism. 'She's still sleeping, she's slumped,' the Heisman winner shared on a Twitch stream. 'You know when you're hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep and you just be gone? She drunk [sic], like, an OD amount tonight for no reason.' Hunter told people to stop targeting her, specifically calling out 'clickbait' pages, social media accounts, and websites. 'Clickbait pages stop, y'all better stop I'm telling y'all. Something bad is gonna happen to y'all [if you] keep doing that. Y'all better stop that. I ain't playing,' he said.

Deion Sanders 'not all the way recovered' from health issue but planning return soon
Colorado football coach Deion Sanders said in a video posted by his eldest son on Sunday, July 20 that he's 'not all the way recovered' but otherwise showed signs of returning to his job in Boulder soon after recently battling an undisclosed health issue this summer. 'You know I'm still going through something,' Sanders said to his daughter Shelomi and son Deion Jr. 'I ain't all the way recovered.' The video posted by Deion Jr. then shows him dipping his legs in an ice bath. The same video showed him more physically active than before, with footage of him shooting baskets on a basketball court, sitting down after tennis lessons and discussing a 'run-walk' he finished at his estate in Texas. 'I'm getting better, though, right?' Sanders said to his youngest daughter Shelomi in the video. Sanders appeared at a Big 12 Conference media days event on July 9 in Frisco, Texas, but declined to reveal the health issue that has kept him away from campus in Boulder while a wave of recruits visited in June. Recruits were told he was out sick. While recovering in Texas, Sanders, 57, also missed a number of events in May and June, including the wedding of his star player, Travis Hunter, on May 24 in Tennessee, a speaking appearance in Florida scheduled for June 8 and Colorado's annual youth and high school camps in Boulder in June. GONE FROM CAMPUS: Did Deion Sanders' absence affect Colorado's recruiting? 'I got on the phone with him' Colorado doesn't open preseason football practice until late July and doesn't open the season until Aug 29 against Georgia Tech. But Sanders indicated he's coming back soon. In a video posted by his son Shilo on July 16, Sanders is heard talking on the phone with Shilo and telling him that he would try his best to rent a plane to visit him in Florida before visiting his other son, Shedeur, in Ohio as they try to make the rosters of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns. 'And then go to work,' Sanders said. In an interview with media personality Phillip Dukes posted on July 17, Deion Jr. also gave an update from Texas. "We headed back to Colorado next week," Deion Jr. said. "It's a blessing. It's been a long journey, a long road and soon everybody will know the reason I haven't left this house this summer. ... Everyone will know in the next few weeks or so." In another video posted on July 17, Sanders said Shedeur recently mentioned his father's weight loss and said he looked like Lil Duval, the comedian and actor. In late May, Deion Sanders said on a podcast with former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel that he had lost 14 pounds related to his health issue. He has a history of blood circulation issues in his legs, but it's not clear if that's related to his recent sabbatical. Follow reporter Brent Schrotenboer @Schrotenboer. Jaguars signed entire 2025 NFL draft class; here are the contract values
The Jaguars have signed their entire 2025 NFL draft class. Here are the contract values for each player, including Travis Hunter. With the Jacksonville Jaguars recently signing rookie linebacker Jack Kiser, their entire 2025 draft class is now under contract prior to training camp beginning. Each rookie earns a four-year deal, with the team holding a player option for a fifth season with Travis Hunter, which is the case league-wide for all first-round selections. The rookie wage scale sets the parameters for what a player can earn based on where they are selected in the draft. So, relatively speaking, there is little room for negotiating. However, where the negotiating does take place, especially with the early round picks, is around how much of the deal is guaranteed. For Hunter, the $46.649 million that he will earn over the four years of his rookie deal is fully guaranteed. What makes Hunter's deal very unique is that he will receive that entire amount up front, which is a rare occurrence, especially for non-quarterbacks. With help from Over the Cap, here is a look at the full contract values for each member of the Jaguars' nine-man draft class. Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 draft class The Jaguars' rookies have already reported for training camp on July 19th. The veterans will arrive on July 22nd and the first practice will take place on the 23rd.
