Fantasy football sleepers for 2025: 1 name to target from all 32 NFL teams

We have officially reached fantasy football draft season in 2025! Sure, that means summer is heading toward its end, but... FANTASY FOOTBALL SEASON IS THE BEST! And if you're starting your draft prep, now's the time you're starting to think about sleepers, some of whom we may see in action as the NFL preseason gets underway. That's what this annual list is for: A collection of sleepers from around the NFL, 32 of them to mark on your cheat sheet as you start preparing for your upcoming draft. Of course, some of them may not end up being sleepers by the time you're drafting. Still, you've got to start somewhere. Let's go find some sleepers for you: Arizona Cardinals: RB Trey Benson He was on this list last year and was just OK. But this year? I don't see James Conner playing 16 games this year. Take Trey and assume the same. Atlanta Falcons: QB Michael Penix Jr. Seems kind of obvious, but the second-year QB has some upside despite a lack of running yards. I REALLY wanted to put Kyle Pitts here, but I won't instill any hope in you. Baltimore Ravens: TE Isaiah Likely How much of a believer are you in Mark Andrews after last year's up and down season? I'd roll the dice on Likely in deep leagues despite the preseason injury. Buffalo Bills: TE Dalton Kincaid The Bills drafted him in the first round a few years ago, and there have been flashes of what he could be. I think this is the year where he could flourish... and at a bargain price. Carolina Panthers: QB Bryce Young Hmm. There were some good moments late last season and now he's got a brand new wideout in Tetairoa McMillan. I wouldn't hate a flier on him as your backup. Chicago Bears: TE Colston Loveland There's a path to stardom in here, although Cole Kmet is still there and there are a lot of mouths to feed in Chicago. Cincinnati Bengals: RB Chase Brown You're asking: "What? He's a borderline RB1 in drafts? How is he a sleeper?" My answer: I might draft him ahead of guys like Kyren Williams and his teammate, Tee Higgins. I think we're underrating him even given where he's ranked. Cleveland Browns: WR Jerry Jeudy Someone besides David Njoku has to catch passes from whoever is the Browns' QB. So I could see us vastly underrating Jeudy here. Dallas Cowboys: RB Jaydon Blue This is one of those "by the time you draft, he might not be a sleeper anymore" guys. The praise (and some workload) from Cowboys camp has been buzzy. Denver Broncos: WR Marvin Mims Jr. You can either last season's late explosion as an aberration or a sign of things to come. I'm somewhere in the middle, but there's upside somewhere in here. Detroit Lions: WR Jameson Williams Probably not a sleeper at this point, but he's the Lions player with the chance to best his ADP this fall. And I think he will. Green Bay Packers: WR Matthew Golden The rookie finds himself in one the more frustrating fantasy situations: The Packers don't have a true WR1 and probably won't this year. But maybe drafting a wideout in the first round is a sign Golden will emerge, and for our purposes here, that makes him a sleeper. Houston Texans: WR Christian Kirk Nico Collins is WR1 in Houston, but who's No. 2? It might be Kirk, and there's a ton of value to be had if that's the case. Indianapolis Colts: TE Tyler Warren The QBs in Indy are a concern, but I think he's got some Brock Bowers potential this year. Bad QBs throw to their tight ends, right? Jacksonville Jaguars: RB Tank Bigsby The arrow is clearly pointing up with Bigsby, although this could be a three-headed monster in Jacksonville with Travis Etienne and Bhayshul Tuten. I think you take Bigsby as a bench RB and watch him take a lot of snaps. Kansas City Chiefs: RB Isiah Pacheco You want to talk about value? Yes, the RB room in KC is crowded, but Pacheco might be able to bounce back from last season's terrible injury and flourish. And he won't cost much at your draft. Las Vegas Raiders: WR Jakobi Meyers Brock Bowers is the No. 1 pass-catcher in Sin City, but I like Meyers a lot to continue getting fed. The touchdowns may not be there, but as far as WR3s go, you could do a lot worse. Los Angeles Chargers: QB Justin Herbert We've reached the point where he may have QB1 games between his passing and a little bit of rushing. But he's going outside the top-10 QBs. Los Angeles Rams: RB Jarquez Hunter Hey, remember that time we all drafted Blake Corum and thought he'd bust through even with Kyren Williams around? Here's that same situation. He might be worth a late keeper flier. Miami Dolphins: RB Jaylen Wright In that offense, the backup to De'Von Achane carries a ton of value. Also, Raheem Mostert is gone! Minnesota Vikings: RB Jordan Mason Aaron Jones has another year under his belt and Mason has intriguing skills both running and catching. I'm going to be rostering Mason a lot this year. New England Patriots: RB TreVeyon Henderson The positive buzz for the rookie is too much to ignore, even with Rhamondre Stevenson still on the Pats' roster. New Orleans Saints: WR Rashid Shaheed Yes, the Saints' quarterback situation is a BIG PROBLEM. But sometimes, skill is too much to ignore. Shaheed looked really good before last season's knee injury. That's worth something. New York Giants: RB Cam Skattebo Sure, Tyrone Tracy Jr. is RB1 for Big Blue. But if Skattebo is healthy -- keep an eye on that as training camp continues -- he could grab a lot of carries in this offense. New York Jets: RB Braelon Allen I don't know how much I believe in Breece Hall this year, so I'll draft the thunder to Hall's lightning, thank you very much. Philadelphia Eagles: RB Will Shipley Saquon Barkley carried the ball 345 times in the regular season and caught 33 passes last year. Add 91 more carries and 13 catches in the Super Bowl run and I see a bit of a red flag for Barkley. So maybe Shipley is a smart late pick. Pittsburgh Steelers: RB Kaleb Johnson Najee Harris is gone. Jaylen Warren probably isn't a full on RB1 type. So the rookie may have some serious impact quickly. San Francisco 49ers: WR Ricky Pearsall There's A LOT of room for the former first-rounder to gobble up receptions, especially if Jauan Jennings' injury is a problem. Seattle Seahawks: RB Zach Charbonnet We've reached the point where he's undervalued. The Seahawks may run a ton and Kenneth Walker III was just RB29 last year. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: WR Emeka Egbuka Sometimes, the obvious name is the pick. Chris Godwin is still recovering from injury and Mike Evans is still Mike Evans. But the first-rounder could be a factor early. Tennessee Titans: RB Tyjae Spears I'm ignoring last season's injury-plagued year. His talent is there and Tony Pollard isn't the most dependable of running backs. Washington Commanders: RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt There's some serious training camp buzz right now, and that backfield feels a little muddled when it comes to an aging Austin Ekler and the solid but unspectacular Brian Robinson Jr.

Arizona Cardinals RB Trey Benson might have his breakout year in 2025

Trey Benson will enter his sophomore NFL season with optimism and recalibration. Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson was a highlight reel in his collegiate days at Florida State University. For much of the 2023-24 NCAA football season, Benson was long argued to have been deserving of the Heisman Trophy. Yet, consistent lingering injuries kept Benson from maintaining his renown among NFL and college football analysts at the conclusion of the college season. Still, the Cardinals took a chance by drafting Benson in the 2024 NFL draft and fans were able to see some of his upside in his rookie NFL season. Benson had his reps in moderation, playing behind starting running back James Conner, but still, Benson finished his rookie season with 63 carries and 291 rushing yards and one touchdown. Benson, however, appeared to be running gingerly in his rookie season and rightfully so. An avoidant approach to football should have been expected for Benson given his recent injuries in college. However, it'll have been after two years of recalibration in the fall and fans should expect to see Benson turn it up a notch. The Cardinals have long needed a one-two punch at the running back position and soon Benson may have an opportunity to act as the successor to Conner. Benson's agility and downhill running style should help the Cardinals on early downs and allow for offensive coordinator Drew Petzing to open up the playbook the way he has been wanting to. 2025 Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: RB Michael Carter

The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team. Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2024, questions they face and their roster outlook. Advertisement This focuses on running back Michael Carter. Michael Carter background, 2024 season Carter enters his third year but second full season with the Cardinals. Originally a fourth-round pick in 2021 by the New York Jets, he was waived in November 2023 and the Cardinals claimed him. Finishing the 2023 season, he was the Cardinals' backup running back to James Conner and 149 yards on 6.8 yards per carry. However, last season, after the Cardinals drafted Trey Benson in the third round, Carter didn't earn a spot on the roster out of training camp. Benson was the main backup running back. Carter wasn't as good as Emari Demercado to be the third-down back and isn't the special teams player that DeeJay Dallas is. Advertisement He spent the year on the practice squad until late in the season when injuries hit and he was signed to the active roster. He rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 3.7 yards per carry and caught 11 passes for 57 yards. Michael Carter 2025 contract details, cap hit Carter is scheduled to make $1.17 million against the salary cap and will count $1.27 million against the cap. Questions he faces, roster outlook Carter finds himself in basically the same situation as last offseason. Can he prove he is valuable as a third-down back or on special teams? To make the team, he will need to beat Benson, be better than Demercado to be the third-down back or be able to supplant Dallas on special teams. Advertisement As things stand, he likely will be in the same situation as a season ago, he will be on the outside looking in. Can he stay healthy for a full season after missing the final four games with the ankle injury? Is he ready to assume a larger role on offense? James Conner will be the clear starter, but can Benson see more playing time? He believes he and Conner can combine to be two RB1s together.
