I tested the EA FC 25 gameplay to see what the Season Finale Update changed
Some big gameplay changes were made in EA FC 25 Title Update 15, so I put it to the test to see what's got better, or worse EA Sports has released its Season Finale update in EA FC 25 with big changes to passing, heading, and goalkeeping, but how different does the game actually feel? The EA FC 25 gameplay and meta has changed multiple times since its release last year, and after EA Sports dropped Title Update 15 earlier this week, the game has started to feel different for players once again. From first-time through balls to long-range trivela shots, there's been a host of different ways to create chances and score goals in EA FC 25, but the EA FC 25 Season Finale update has claimed big changes have been made to short passing, heading and goalkeeping specifically, which could see the meta shift again. Headers in attack have been nothing short of useless in EA FC 25, killing the overpowered Aerial meta that we saw in EA FC 24. But, improved header accuracy is one of the biggest updates in Title Update 15, so this meta could be making a comeback. Another big change is that players with high passing stats will now be able to complete ground passes more regularly, regardless of PlayStyles, and the fact that they couldn't is something which we've complained about in the past. Lastly, goalkeepers with the Rush Out PlayStyle are not as overpowered when rushing off their line, so the acceleration has been dropped. So, how accurate are these changes and has the Season Finale update refreshed the meta in EA FC 25? Let's take a look... READ MORE: First UFL PC release date confirmed with PC play-dates and requirements revealed EA FC 25 Season Finale update review We jumped onto EA FC 25 for a few hours to test out the Season Final update and see if we could really feel these gameplay changes in-game. Ground passing To test out if ground passing had improved for players with high passing stats (it's crazy this even needed an update), we first jumped into Clubs, building one pro with 91 passing and zero passing PlayStyles to see how good he was at passing. We've tested this out before to prove how overpowered PlayStyles were, and the pro with no passing PlayStyles struggled. Well, to put it simply, ground passing wasn't much of an issue, and it has improved. My player was able to make accurate passes along the floor, mainly short distances. Under pressure, my pro was able to squeeze passes through tight spaces, and even though there were still some issues with first-time passes, it was way more accurate than before. I then jumped into Ultimate Team, where I mainly used an Evolved Conor Bradley (I'm a Liverpool fan, I only evolve Liverpool players so don't judge) with all the passing PlayStyles, two passing PlayStyle Plus' and 90 passing against an Evolved Trey Nyoni (again, don't judge), with just one passing PlayStyle but 90 passing. In Ultimate Team, there did seem to still be a big gap between passing ability, even though they both had 90 passing, but it wasn't like Nyoni was unusable. All in all, passing has improved, but PlayStyles are still extremely important. Heading Sorry to say it, but heading still feels useless following the update. Players with high heading stats, the Aerial PlayStyle and/or the Power Header PlayStyle never consistently got headers on target in attack, with plenty blazing over the bar like we've seen in the past. Now, I did notice that from corners I was winning headers way more often, but the accuracy just wasn't there, so it doesn't look like the Aerial meta is returning. Is that a good or a bad thing? I guess time will tell. Goalkeeping Goalkeepers are weird. Some games, my 'keeper with Rush Out PlayStyle Plus could feel rapid off his line and make crucial saves, and sometimes, a poppadom would've been just as useful between the sticks, and this was before the update. But after the update, my 'keeper does feel slower, just like EA wanted. To me, goalkeepers were never overpowered in the first place, and it didn't seem like a crucial update that needed to be made, but now it's here, I can't say that it makes much of a noticeable difference, so there's no need to worry here. Elsewhere, the game felt pretty much the same. No new metas have seemed to appear from the hours I have spent on the game, so this 'major' Season Finale update doesn't really that major after all.

Liverpool rest key players for PSV game with Champions League qualification secured
Liverpool are travelling to PSV Eindhoven without the bulk of their first-team squad after deciding to rest a number of big-hitters. Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz will all remain at home as Arne Slot makes widespread changes for the final group stage outing in the Champions League. Advertisement Liverpool have already qualified for the last 16 and have nothing to play for in the Netherlands so head coach Arne Slot is using the game to give some of his fringe players a run out. Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to start in goal with the likes of Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott all pushing for more minutes. Cody Gakpo is also a part of the squad and will likely feature against his former side. Following the trip to the Netherlands, Liverpool travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday before hosting Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final next Thursday. GO DEEPER 'Un-be-liev-able': How Szoboszlai became essential for Liverpool In the 21-man squad are a number of youngsters, including the top young talent at the club, Trey Nyoni. This is the ideal fixture for the 17-year-old to gain more minutes as Slot continues to carefully manage his development. Tyler Morton, James McConnell and Jayden Danns also have a good chance of featuring. All three are attracting interest ahead of the transfer deadline as clubs in the Championship consider loan moves. UEFA rule stops Liverpool from naming Rio Ngumoha in PSV squad after training boost
Rio Ngumoha was excluded from Liverpool's traveling squad for the Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday as UEFA rules prevented him being registered for the match. The 16-year-old made his senior debut last month in the FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley when he became the youngest player to ever start for Liverpool. He impressed Arne Slot with his performance against the League Two club and is among the most exciting talents emerging from Liverpool's Kirkby academy . That was on show again on Tuesday ahead of the PSV game, with eight previously untested youngsters among the group that trained as part of the open session. And a number of them were included in Slot's rotated squad for the game, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk left at home. READ MORE: Arne Slot calls up 8 untried Liverpool youngsters ahead of PSV game in Champions League READ MORE: PSV boss makes 'remarkable' Liverpool claim and outlines big Arne Slot change Jayden Danns and Trey Nyoni, who have already played for the first team this season, made the cut alongside Kieran Morrison, Isaac Mabaya, Trent Kone-Doherty, Amara Nallo and James Norris, It would have been the perfect opportunity for Ngumoha to feature but he could not be included. The youngster was not registered at the start of the season among the Champions League List A squad, a category for players born before 1 January 2003. UEFA rules state players born on, or after 1 January 2003, can join the List B and therefore be registered to play in Champions League games, so long as they have been at the club for at least two years. Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah are examples of such players and did not need to be included in the List A squad earlier this season. However, with Ngumoha only joining Liverpool from Chelsea last summer, he does fit into the category. The attacker could be added to the List A players for the knockout stages, an option taken on Amara Nallo and Trey Nyoni ahead of the group stage, despite both being born after 1 January 2003. Joe Gomez was not included after he returned to training on Tuesday. The defender hasn't played this calendar year after picking up an injury against West Ham United at the end of December. Liverpool heads to PSV knowing it only needs a point to secure top spot in the Champions League after winning all seven of its previous games this season. A defeat will even be enough on what looks set to be a frantic final day of the league phase, should Barcelona fail to beat Atalanta. The Reds secured passage to the last-16, bypassing the play-offs in the process, thanks to last week's win over Lille. Liverpool will definitely finish in the top two no matter what happens on Wednesday night.
