Sean Penn Reacts (30 Years Later) to Madonna Calling Him the Love of Her Life
In her 1991 documentary Truth or Dare, Madonna declared that Sean Penn was the love of her life. And more than three decades later, the actor is sharing his thoughts on it. In an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast posted Monday (May 12), Penn said that his superstar ex-wife was 'very sweet' for her remarks in the Alek Keshishian-directed doc when asked whether he recalled what she'd said. 'I do,' he told Theroux. 'Look, she's been a good friend for a lot of years.' After their divorce in 1989, the exes stayed friends. 'It didn't take us long to realize that we had mistaken a good first date for a wedding partner,' Penn said. 'It didn't take us long to recover after we got divorced, maybe a year, in a friendship. I have a lot of fond memories of it – it's not all jail.' The actor added: 'But there was a lot of alcohol and she'd be fairly accusing me of that.' Following her split from Penn, the 'Material Girl' singer would go on to marry Guy Ritchie in 2000 before they separated in 2008. Penn was married to Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010, followed by Leila George from 2020 to 2022. Penn's thoughts on the Truth or Dare documentary come just after a report that a long-awaited biopic about Madonna's life is finally in the works. According to Deadline, the star has teamed up with Shawn Levy for a Netflix limited series about her life and career. Madge is also currently working on new music with producer Stuart Price, who worked on her Billboard 200-topping 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor. It's been about six years since the 'Vogue' singer last dropped a proper album, releasing Madame X in 2019. 'First one to see' and Yellow Car named among best car games
A survey of 2,000 adults showed that a whopping 88% engage in playful challenges to pass the time during long drives. Identifying different car makes and spotting unique number plates are also among the top choices for in-car entertainment. The top 20 list also features the Alphabet Game, where players come up with words from specific categories starting with consecutive letters, and the timeless Rock Paper Scissors. Other favourites include Name That Tune, Would You Rather, and even Truth or Dare. This news comes as Londoners playing 'Yellow Car' would have scored plenty, following sightings of five new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric vehicles touring iconic spots in the city. Each vehicle was decked out in Renault's signature yellow pop colourway, ensuring they stood out amidst the urban landscape. The coordinated quintet of cars was seen cruising by landmarks such as The Mall and Big Ben. Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson from the car manufacturer, which sponsored the research, said: "The nation will be taking to the roads this Bank Holiday weekend and I'm sure many will be playing at least one of these classic car games. While I-Spy might still be the most popular, Yellow Car is one that many will be familiar with. "Trying to spot a brightly coloured car while on the road can keep adults and children alike entertained and can help make any car journey go that little bit quicker. "So, having launched Renault 5 with the option of vibrant, fun colours, we wanted to play a real-life version of the Yellow Car game on the streets of London, so anyone driving past would have had a bumper load of cars to shout about." Research has also highlighted that for 67% of those engaged in vehicular games, it's all about wiling away the time and keeping tedium at bay, yet 43% admit these games help in brightening spirits. Furthermore, 16% of people turn to automotive games as a means to diminish their screen engagement or to avoid aimless phone scrolling. It has also come to light that 63% of adults experience a wave of nostalgia for their juvenile road trips through these games. Embarking on UK road trips surfaced as the prime occasion for initiating a game (53%), followed by outings such as day trips (41%) and when visiting kin (32%). Remarkably, 21% of adults continue the fun with mates in the car and 17% get into the spirit on the thrilling drive to the airport. This news comes as Londoners playing 'Yellow Car' would have scored big, thanks to snapshots showing five new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric vehicles zipping by iconic landmarks in their standout yellow pop colourway. The coordinated quintet of cars was seen cruising by The Mall and Big Ben, adding a splash of colour to the cityscape. Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson from the car manufacturer behind the research said: "The nation will be taking to the roads this Bank Holiday weekend and I'm sure many will be playing at least one of these classic car games. "While I-Spy might still be the most popular, Yellow Car is one that many will be familiar with. Trying to spot a brightly coloured car while on the road can keep adults and children alike entertained and can help make any car journey go that little bit quicker. "So, having launched Renault 5 with the option of vibrant, fun colours, we wanted to play a real-life version of the Yellow Car game on the streets of London, so anyone driving past would have had a bumper load of cars to shout about." The study also highlighted that a whopping 67% of people engage in car games just to pass the time and keep boredom at bay, whilst 43% use them to create a cheerful atmosphere. Moreover, 16% turn to such games as a way to cut down on excessive screen time or aimless scrolling through their mobiles. It was also uncovered that for 63% of grown-ups, car games are a throwback to the joyous road trips of their younger days. Car journeys within the UK emerged as prime time for game-playing for 53%, with day trips (41%) and visiting kith and kin (32%) following suit. A sizable 21% of adults also indulge in these amusements when motoring with mates, and the thrilling ride to the airport isn't without its share of games for 17%. Balzaretti, a former Serie A star, teamed up with Diletta on DAZN as a presenter in 2019. The footballer is married to ballerina Eleonora Abbagnato, who revealed she found Diletta's beauty intimidating. Abbagnato appeared on TV show Truth or Dare, claiming a "beautiful woman" had made her "jealous." She later confirmed to Storie di donne al bivio magazine that the woman in question "was Diletta Leotta." Abbagnato said: "I love my husband like the first day and I'm jealous [of Diletta]. "In Milan, some time ago, I happened to meet Leotta who, working at DAZN with Federico, seemed to have excessive familiarity with him. "I immediately took off and introduced myself in a very formal way: 'Pleased to meet you, I'm his wife'. Explaining their long-distance relationship, he said: "Of course, she was hoping a little for [me to join an Italian club]. "I explained it to her. She wishes me the best in my career and said she is fully behind it. "Milan is not far away. We can find ways to solve it. She has a lot to do too, so we will both be commuting back and forth a bit." Balzaretti meanwhile moved to DAZN's Champions League coverage before joining his former side Roma as a director in January.
