R&B DJ Selby performs at Imbizo Shisanyama in Midrand

R&B lovers are in for a soulful treat as DJ Selby brings his smooth sounds to Imbizo Shisanyama in Midrand on Sunday evening. Known for his rich selection of love ballads and timeless grooves, DJ Selby is fast becoming a household name in the genre. Based in Mbombela, the DJ, whose real name is Selby Malatji, has been making waves in the local music scene with his nostalgic sets that pay homage to the golden era of R&B. His biggest musical inspiration is the late legendary Metro FM DJ Eddie Zondi, whose signature Sunday Soul Sessions became a staple in many South African homes. Selby continues that legacy by curating emotionally resonant mixes that celebrate love, heartbreak, and everything in between. 'I grew up listening to Eddie Zondi. His passion for soulful music and the way he connected with listeners left a huge impact on me,' he told TshisaLIVE. 'Every set I play is a tribute to that era and to him.' Asked what fans could expect on Sunday, DJ Selby said: 'Fans attending the event at Imbizo Shisanyama can expect a night filled with smooth classics, contemporary R&B hits and a few surprises.' Whether you're on the dance floor or relaxing with friends, DJ Selby's set promises to deliver the perfect soundtrack for a memorable evening. The event kicks off at 6pm. Entry is free, but early arrival is advised to secure a good spot.

Lebo M puts a ring on it — again

Lion King producer Lebo M has put a ring on it again — this time to his on-and-off partner Malefu 'Mel' Ntsala. The two got engaged in a private affair in Dubai on Friday. Lebo M and Malefu 'Mel' Ntsala have previously been involved in a relationship with one another and now the Lion King producer has sealed the deal with a ring. After years of sharing their journey in the public eye — with its fair share of highs, lows and unforgettable moments — the couple is ready to step into a new chapter defined by unwavering commitment and purpose. In a statement sent exclusively to TshisaLIVE , Lebo M candidly opened up about his personal evolution: 'The pursuit of love, happiness, and comfort is a lifelong journey. I'm humbled by my dance with love through the years, and grateful for the strength to never give up on it. In a world filled with trials and tribulations we face — and gender-based violence being one of the most painful — I'm proud to stand for love with purpose. At my age, I choose commitment over 'boyfriend culture' and celebrate the courage it takes to truly love and be loved.' While the details of their plans remain private, congratulatory messages and warm wishes from friends, fans and fellow artists have already begun pouring in. The couple's radiant smiles and shared joy are proof that sometimes, the best love stories aren't scripted — they're simply lived. With his trademark passion and resilience, Lebo M is once again showing the world that love, at any age, is worth celebrating. The Lion King producer and six-time Tong Award winner, has been married four times and has had multiple engagements. This would be his fifth time getting married. Big Zulu gives update on his celebrity soccer tournament and shop

Multi award-winning rapper Big Zulu's celebrity soccer tournament is to move to a bigger venue. Big Zulu, whose real name is Siyabonga Nene, rose to fame after releasing the single Donsa Nkabi in 2016. He signed a record deal with Universal Music in 2015 and released his debut album Ushun Wenkabi and then Ungqongqoshe Wongqongqoshe. It is believed Big Zulu is in talks with the Moses Mabhida Stadium to host his celebrity soccer tournament in July and a source close to him suggests the talks are at an advanced stage. TshisaLIVE contacted the Inkabi Nation founder. 'We were looking at hosting this year's tournament at Moses Mabhida, but the talks haven't been concluded yet. If we get an approval that would be great for us members of the creative arts,' he said. During a recent Podcast and Chill interview with Mac G, Big Zulu alluded that he'll be venturing into the clothing business. 'The plans for opening in September are in place, as it'll be heritage month and that's also what [I'm] excited about, but just looking at getting the best location for my shop so we can get the business up and running,' Big Zulu told TshisaLIVE.
