Fenerbahçe complete key defensive double signing
Fenerbahçe announced back-to-back signings of Slovakian centre-back Milan Škriniar and Portuguese right-back Nélson Semedo on Thursday. Semedo, 31, brings experience from the Premier League and La Liga, having previously played for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Barcelona. Known for his pace, technical skill, and attacking prowess down the flank, Semedo is expected to bolster Fenerbahçe's right side and offer a modern, dynamic presence in their defence. Škriniar, 30, a seasoned defender and former Inter star, was last seen at PSG. A rock at the back and a leader on the field, Škriniar's signing marks a major defensive upgrade for the Yellow Canaries. If he returns to form, he could be the backbone of Fenerbahçe's ambitions both domestically and in Europe. After narrowly missing out on the Süper Lig title in recent seasons, Fenerbahçe's aggressive moves in the transfer market suggest the club is all-in for the 2025–26 campaign, with Semedo and Škriniar joining the likes of Sofyan Amrabat and Archie Brown this summer. 📸 Carl Recine - 2025 Getty Images

Justin Timberlake Reveals Health Battle After Concert Clips Go Viral
Pop star Justin Timberlake was back in the news cycle last week, and–as is often the case for him these days–it wasn't good. Video footage of the 44-year-old performing in Europe on the final dates of his 'Forget Tomorrow' world tour went viral on social media, with users declaring he appeared tired and disengaged. Now, after wrapping the tour with a July 30 concert in Istanbul, Timberlake revealed in an Instagram post that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. '…I don't say (this) so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes,' he wrote Thursday. 'If you've experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you're aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. ' Timberlake didn't mention when he was diagnosed, but said he 'was faced with a personal decision" upon hearing the news: "Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out." '…I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I'm so glad I kept going.' Timberlake's viral concert videos formed the latest chapter in an exceptionally rough year of PR for the 'SexyBack' singer, starting with his DWI arrest in June of 2024. His alleged quote to the police--"This is going to ruin the tour"--became a massive meme. He canceled several U.S. dates, citing struggles with the flu, bronchitis, laryngitis and a back injury. The concerts that continued as planned went under the microscope on TikTok, with users poking fun at stage malfunctions and lackluster moments. In one widely shared clip from a June 28 concert in Dublin, Ireland, Timberlake set his microphone down on stage, instead having his audience sing the beginning of his 2016 hit 'Can't Stop the Feeling!' In Thursday's post, along with heaping praise on his fans, family and touring crew, Timberlake also revealed the 'Forget Tomorrow' tour could possibly have been his last. 'I honestly don't know what my future is onstage,' he wrote, 'but I'll always cherish this run! And all of them before ! It's been the stuff of LEGEND for me.'

Justin Timberlake goes public with ‘debilitating' secret battle
Justin Timberlake has been diagnosed with 'debilitating' Lyme disease. The singer made the health admission in a lengthy Instagram statement today while reflecting on his Forget Tomorrow tour, which wrapped in Turkey this week. 'I've been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease -— which I don't say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes,' the 44-year-old told his followers. Timberlake noted that Lyme disease, which is a bacterial infection spread by ticks, 'can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.' Being diagnosed helped the 'shocked' Grammy winner understand 'why [he] would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.' He continued, 'I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out.' The former *NSYNC member ultimately decided, 'The joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling.' He is 'so glad [he] kept going' to prove his 'mental tenacity' and share 'special moments' with fans. Timberlake acknowledged elsewhere in his caption that he chose to be 'transparent about [his] struggles' so they would not be 'misinterpreted.' The singer, notably, has been blasted for lacklustre performances since kicking off his tour in April 2024. In one viral video shared via TikTok last week, Timberlake strolled around the stage and engaged in occasional dance moves, rarely bringing the microphone to his mouth. 'Go on girl, give us nothing,' one social media user wrote of the compilation. One fan complained, 'I get that you have a lot of concerts and are touring the world, or whatever, but you cannot be singing less than a quarter of a song.' Additionally, Timberlake made headlines earlier this month when he was caught on camera screaming at crew members over an issue-riddled performance in England. The songwriter's wife, Jessica Biel, showed her support for her partner by reposting his health news to her own Story. The couple have been married since 2012 and share two sons: Silas, 10, and Phineas, 5.
