Indore: Indoreans can travel in Metro for free for the first week as Indore Metro's commercial operation is set to commence from May 31. To encourage the public to keep commuting through this mode of transportation, MP Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL)will launch a promotional discount scheme for the first three months. While the travel in first week will be free, in the second week there will be 75 percent discount, followed by 50 percent in the third week, and a 25 per cent discount up to the third month. According to senior officials of MPMRCL, ticketing will initially be carried out manually. The decision was taken after a probe was ordered against Turkey-based company which has been assigned contract for Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) of Indore and Bhopal metros, to find out if it was involved in any anti-India activity. "We have alternate arrangements, and thus, the ticketing will initially be carried out manually until further instructions from the state govt," a senior official said, adding that passengers will have the facility to pay the fare through QR-based systems. MPMRCL is also in talks with AICTSL to integrate bus services to facilitate last-mile connectivity for Metro commuters. A proposed route from Bada Ganpati to Indore Airport Terminal, via Super Corridor and up to Luvkush Square/ISBT, is also under consideration.

'NGOs Funding Terrorists': Decoding Turkey's Role As 'Radicalisation Sleeper Cell' Against India
The Turkish government is actively providing logistical, diplomatic, and financial support to various terror groups worldwide, revealed top intelligence sources. CNN-News18 has decoded Turkey's role as a radicalisation sleeper cell against India, highlighting the involvement of Turkey's National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) and state-backed NGOs in systematically supporting terror groups like Jamaat-e-Islami, Hizbul Mujahideen, and the Popular Front of India (PFI). Sources confirm that MIT and NGOs such as the IHH are targeting youth from Kashmir and Kerala. Earlier reports by CNN-News18 have indicated that PFI members have joined ISIS, traveling to Syria with assistance from IHH, a Turkey-based government-backed NGO. Intelligence points to MIT and Bilal Erdogan, son of the Turkish President, targeting Kashmiri and Kerala youth. Bilal Erdogan's NGOs, such as the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA), reportedly bring Indian Muslim youth from Kerala and Kashmir to Turkey under the Erasmus scheme. These youth are subsequently introduced to Pakistani organisations like Jamaat-e-Islami, Hizbul, and anti-India groups like PFI. advetisement

Bombay high court halts Mumbai airport's bid to replace Turkey's Celebi
File photo (ANI) NEW DELHI: In a temporary reprieve for Turkish aviation firm Celebi, the Bombay high court on Monday directed Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) to hold off on awarding new contracts for ground and bridge handling services at the city's international airport. The interim order was passed by Justice Somasekhar Sundaresan, who said that no conclusive steps should be taken on the tenders until Celebi's petitions are heard after the court's summer recess in June, reported news agency PTI. The legal dispute stems from the recent revocation of security clearance for Celebi Airport Services India, a subsidiary of Turkey-based Celebi, by India's Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). The security clearance was rescinded earlier this month, citing national security concerns, prompting airports across the country to terminate contracts with Celebi's Indian affiliates. The move followed diplomatic tensions after Turkey expressed support for Pakistan during India's Operation Sindoor, a military offensive conducted in response to cross-border terrorism. In the aftermath, Celebi's Indian operations, including those at key airports like Mumbai and Delhi, came under scrutiny. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! The company contended that the government's actions were arbitrary and legally unsustainable. Celebi holds a 59 per cent stake in the joint venture operating at the Mumbai airport. The petitions request the high court to annul the BCAS's order cancelling its security clearance and to reverse MIAL's termination of key agreements, including the Bridge Mounted Equipment Service Agreement, Ground Handling Services contract, and the Concession Agreement. The firm also asked the court to suspend the tender process initiated by MIAL on May 17 for selecting a replacement agency. Meanwhile, two other group companies, Celebi Airport Services India and Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India, have approached the Delhi high court seeking similar relief following cancellation of their airport contracts in the capital.
