Dubai Police sets Guinness World Record at UAE SWAT Challenge 2025
Dubai Police has secured a place in the Guinness World Records for hosting the largest number of countries in a tactical teams competition during the sixth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025. A total of 46 countries participated, surpassing the required minimum of 45 to establish this historic achievement. Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, officially received the Guinness World Record certificate during a ceremony held at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, according to WAM. Organized by the UAE Ministry of Interior and hosted by Dubai Police, this year's SWAT Challenge brought together 105 teams from 46 countries competing in five rigorous challenges designed to test tactical proficiency, endurance, and teamwork. Among the teams who participated was the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF), representing the Philippines in the prestigious global event. This year's UAE SWAT Challenge was held from February 1 to 5.

China crowned UAE SWAT Challenge champions
China Police Team 'B' secured the championship title in the sixth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025, on Wednesday, finishing at the top of the overall leaderboard with 480 points. In second place was the Sunkar team from Kazakhstan, earning 470 points, while China Police Team 'C' claimed third place with 457 points. The fifth and final day of the competition featured the Obstacle Course Challenge with Rwanda's National Police Team '1' taking first place with 77 points. China Police Team 'B' followed closely in second place with 76 points, while China Police Team 'C' secured third place with 75 points. Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, awarded the winning teams in both the overall ranking and the Obstacle Course Challenge. Al Marri also honoured the judges of the Technical Committee for their role in officiating the competition, commending their efforts throughout the challenge. Lieutenant General Al Marri congratulated the winning teams for their outstanding performance over the five-day competition, highlighting the intense competition among all teams striving for the top positions.

PNP Special Action Force joins UAE SWAT Challenge 2025
The Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) is among the 121 elite teams from 51 countries set to compete in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025. Organized by Dubai Police, the internationally acclaimed event will run from February 1 to 5 at Al Ruwayyah Training City, marking its largest edition yet. In a video released by the UAE SWAT Challenge, the PNP-SAF encouraged the Filipino community in the UAE to rally behind them and witness the action firsthand. Having participated in previous editions, the PNP-SAF is no stranger to the rigorous demands of the competition, where law enforcement teams engage in a series of high-stakes challenges designed to push their skills to the limit. This year's event will feature five high-stakes challenges: the Tactical Operations Challenge, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue Competition, High Tower Challenge, and Obstacle Course. Each is designed to test the physical endurance, teamwork, and tactical expertise of the best special forces and tactical units from around the world. The number of teams participating in the Dubai Police's UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 has increased to 120, with the addition of six new teams from the US, Russia, Tajikistan, Armenia, and Brunei. In a news release, Dubai Police announced that the latest entries include teams from the US, Russia, Tajikistan, Armenia, and two teams from Brunei, raising the total number of participating countries from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas from 48 to 50. This year, the total prize money awaiting the world's elite specialized police teams is valued at $260,000. Previously, Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations emphasized the significant growth of the event, saying: 'Its growing global reputation reflects Dubai's excellence in hosting world-class events.'
