Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. pay-per-view price revealed ahead of June fight
Combat sports fans might need to save up for June 28 with Jake Paul facing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and UFC 317 both taking place on the same night. On Thursday, DAZN revealed the pay-per-view price for the Paul vs. Chavez Jr. fight, which also features former UFC champion Holly Holm making her return to boxing on the undercard. Advertisement The Paul vs. Chavez Jr. fight costs $59.99 for the pay-per-view along with a subscription to DAZN. The boxing match marks Paul's first fight in 2025 after he put on one of the biggest spectacles in history this past November when he defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson with more than 100 million viewers watching the event on Netflix. The win over the 58-year-old Tyson moved Paul's record to 11-1 overall and now he's seeking to add another famous name to his resume when he faces Chavez in June. Of course, Chavez comes into the fight at 39 years old and far removed from the prime of his career when he was a champion and top contender in several different divisions. Over his past six fights, Chavez has gone 3-3 including a shocking loss to UFC legend Anderson Silva, who Paul defeated back in 2022. Advertisement Most recently, Chavez won an uninspired decision over another former UFC fighter in Uriah Hall. The event also includes Holm making her return to boxing for the first time since 2013 when she faces Yolanda Vega on the main card. Paul vs. Chavez is set to go head-to-head with UFC 317, which features a vacant lightweight title fight at the top of the card when Ilia Topuria moves to 155 pounds to challenge former champion Charles Oliveira in the main event while Alexandre Pantoja defends his flyweight title against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event from Las Vegas. UFC 317 costs $79.99 along with a subscription to ESPN+. Advertisement More from

Magomed Ankalaev claims Alex Pereira 'never coming back,' will move on from UFC rematch
Magomed Ankalaev claims Alex Pereira 'never coming back,' will move on from UFC rematch Magomed Ankalaev is sick of waiting for a rematch date that accommodates Alex Pereira and is prepared to move on to something else. After taking the light heavyweight title from Pereira (12-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) by unanimous decision at UFC 313 in March, Ankalaev (21-1-1 MMA, 12-1-1 UFC) said he's been ready and willing for the sequel to be confirmed. He claims multiple dates have been offered, including the UFC 317 headliner during International Fight Week on June 28 in Las Vegas. Still, though, nothing has been finalized, and it appears Ankalaev now thinks it never will be. He bluntly said Sunday on social media he thinks Pereira essentially is retired and won't compete again, and therefore he wants to move on to the next contender. (via X): "Alex (is) done he never coming back," Ankalaev wrote. "Let's move on – June, July, August, I said yes." If the Ankalaev vs. Pereira rematch does not come to fruition, there is multiple potential opponents for his first 205-pound title defense. Former champion Jiri Prochazka is the likely leading candidate, Carlos Ulberg is on a seven-fight winning streak in the weight class and on June 21, ex-champ Jamahal Hill meets Khalil Rountree in the UFC on ABC 8 main event in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Michael Chandler: Striking favors Ilia Topuria, but Charles Oliveira is 'tough everywhere'
Michael Chandler: Striking favors Ilia Topuria, but Charles Oliveira is 'tough everywhere' Michael Chandler knows first hand not to count out Charles Oliveira at UFC 317. Oliveira (35-10 MMA, 23-10 UFC) is a sizable underdog for his vacant lightweight title fight against Ilia Topuria (16-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) in the June 28 main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+). Chandler fought Oliveira twice – losing to him the first time by knockout at UFC 262, then by unanimous decision at UFC 309. "It's tough. You don't bet against freaking Charles Oliveira because he's so dang good everywhere, and he's a really hard guy to beat," Chandler told MMA Junkie. "With that being said, Ilia Topuria's got some crazy power in his hands, and crazy accurate strikes. It's going to be very interesting to see how that fight goes. You've got to think that in the striking department leans towards Ilia, but Charles is tough everywhere. Obviously fighting him twice, I know." The UFC's lightweight division saw a lot of moving parts after Topuria vacated his featherweight belt for a move up, and Islam Makhachev relinquished his 155-pound title to go to welterweight. Chandler knows he could have found himself in the title picture if he was able to beat any of his past two opponents. "No, I'm not surprised," Chandler said on the state of the lightweight division. "And I think maybe some of those rumors and stuff maybe played into my decision on why I wanted to fight Paddy, why I wanted to get back in there. "Obviously if you look at the timing, I should have had a win against Oliveira. I messed that up. I should have had a win against Paddy. I messed that up. I've had these great opportunities and they've just slipped through my fingertips. So if I would have beat Charles, I'd be fighting Ilia for the title right now. But this is the way the sport goes."

Paddy Pimblett prefers Justin Gaethje over 'absolute tool' Arman Tsarukyan, gets response
Paddy Pimblett prefers Justin Gaethje over 'absolute tool' Arman Tsarukyan, gets response Paddy Pimblett explains why Justin Gaethje, not Arman Tsarukyan is the fight to make. Pimblett (23-3 MMA, 7-0 UFC) is perhaps one big win away from title contention after scoring a dominant finish of Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in April. Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira will battle for the vacant lightweight title in the UFC 317 main event on June 28, and Pimblett sees Justin Gaethje (26-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) as his ticket to the winner of that fight. "I'm hoping to fight in Abu Dhabi in October," Pimblett told BBC Sport. "I think that's when I'm going to be back in the cage. I was thinking Ilia might call me out if he wins (against Oliveira). I'd love to beat him if he gets the belt. I'd love to fight him anyway, but he's booked, so I think it's more than likely Justin Gaethje." The only other available option for Pimblett in the top five is Arman Tsarukyan (22-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC), who was booked to face Islam Makhachev in a title fight at UFC 311 before withdrawing the day before due to a back injury. Pimblett went off on Tsarukyan for pulling out. Tsarukyan said he'd be willing to fight Pimblett in summer, but "The Baddy" did not reciprocate the interest. "No one (cares) about Arman Tsarukyan and people actually want to watch Gaethje fight," Pimblett said. "People know it'll be an exciting fight, me vs. Gaethje. Tsarukyan, he's just an absolute tool, and then it's me and Gaethje. One win away and I'll be fighting for the belt. Yeah, that's always been the aim. It's the only aim that we have." Tsarukyan fired back at Pimblett.
