'I ordered pint with my full English in Benidorm – the price will blow you away'
The cost of beer has got pretty steep here in Scotland – but have you ever wondered how much you could expect to pay for a pint in Benidorm? One man has revealed all The average cost of a pint of beer has soared past £5 in the UK for the first time ever – and it's a whopping £5.50 to get the amber nectar in Edinburgh. Thankfully though, you can still find plenty of affordable drinks when you jet off abroad. But if you're in Benidorm, you can even get breakfast thrown in for a super affordable price. A tourist called Grumet White showed just how cheap it is to get a fry-up in the holiday hotspot. And you can even get an alcohol beverage thrown into the mix! He headed to Uncle Ron's to redeem the jaw-dropping deal and shared his feedback on social media. So would the breakfast and beer actually taste good? Grumet said: "We have been going to Uncle Ron's for years. The breakfast is one of the best in Benidorm, to be fair. If I go to McDonald's, it would cost more than a family of four in Uncle Ron's. It's not that, it's just really cheap - it's nice too." The short clip has been viewed more than 62,000 times and liked by a few hundred fans of the budget breakfast spot. One viewer praised the offer, writing: "Decent breakfasts to be honest.. especially for the price." Another added: "Brekkie and a pint under a fiver is right, be rude not to." A third praised the establishment, adding: "Great place." Not everyone is convinced by the deal though – as one person pointed out it was a definite "no" from them. One viewer wrote: "State of it." Meanwhile, another fumed: "To sit in a non-air-conditioned garage conversion… No thanks." Benidorm is a major tourist destination, especially popular with British and European holidaymakers. Many bars and restaurants compete fiercely for customers, leading to low prices and special offers to attract crowds. Prices also tend to be so cheap because Spain produces a lot of its own beer, reducing import costs. Local brands like San Miguel, Mahou, and Estrella Damm are widely available and inexpensive. What's more, alcohol taxes in Spain are generally lower than in countries like the UK or Scandinavia, making beer cheaper at the point of sale.

Man orders pint with full English breakfast in Benidorm and price leaves him floored
A breakfast and pint combo has left members of the public floored, with one man saying it's 'one of the best' offers available in popular holiday hotspot Benidorm The price of a pint with a full English breakfast in Benidorm has left a man floored. The budget breakfast was described as "one of the best" combos in the popular tourist spot by frequent flyer, Grumet White. The Benidorm mega fan offers holidaymakers his top tips for getting British cuisine in Spain. It's just £4.50 for a beer and full English breakfast, which seems crazy given that the average cost of a price in the UK is £5.01 in 2025. That's way pricier – and you don't even get any brekkie on the side! But is the grub actually any good? The fine line between "cheap" and "nice" has been walked by Grumet, who says Uncle Ron's is the place to go for those wanting a slice of home while abroad. While the cheap eatery has been praised by Grumet, not everyone is convinced by Uncle Ron's, which offers a gut buster breakfast challenge for nine euros. He told fans: "We have been going to Uncle Ron's for years. The breakfast is one of the best in Benidorm, to be fair. If I go to McDonald's, it would cost more than a family of four in Uncle Ron's. It's not that, it's just really cheap - it's nice too." Grumet's tip for holidaymakers has been viewed over 62,000 times and liked by a few hundred fans of the budget breakfast spot. One viewer hailed the offer, writing: "Decent breakfasts to be honest.. especially for the price." Another added: "Brekkie and a pint under a fiver is right, be rude not to." Meanwhile, another fumed: "To sit in a non-air-conditioned garage conversion… No thanks." Uncle Ron's made headlines last year over its "belly buster" challenge. The 2,760-calorie breakfast challenge caused controversy as Jo, from Wales, tackled the challenge but was denied his prize for a "mean" reason. The breakfast has just a 3% success rate and contains four sausages, four bacon rashers, four fried eggs, four hash browns, four pieces of toast, six tomatoes, half a large tin of baked beans, 10 mushrooms and two pieces of fried bread. Jo failed to leave a clean plate after running out of time - being defeated by two pieces of toast and a slice of fried bread. A statement issued by Uncle Ron's reads: "Rules are rules. People can leave half a slice of toast but you've left it. It's not a clean plate. It's got to be a clean plate. ""I don't care if it's a tiny bit of corner of a piece of toast, it's not a win unless it's empty. People say 'it's not fair because I've got a loaf of bread on it'. "I reply 'no you haven't, you've got six slices which doesn't equate to a loaf of bread'. It's just on the plate itself when you halve it, it just looks like you've got a lot of bread. Jo didn't complain. People usually just have a laugh about it." The challenge costs just nine euros and winners eat for free.

Man attempts 'belly buster' challenge in Benidorm and seriously regrets it
A British man on a lads holiday to Benidorm decided to try out the famous 'belly buster' breakfast challenge offered by British bar Uncle Ron's - but he soon came to regret his decision Many people will think of holidays as the perfect opportunity to indulge in whatever foods they'd fancy, especially if you're staying in an all-inclusive resort. Whether it's trying new and exotic foods native to where you're currently on holiday or sticking with British classics, food on holiday will always taste better than at home. Because of this, one Brit decided to attempt the famous belly buster challenge of eating a huge portion of a fry up while on a recent lads holiday to Bendiorm. However, it didn't go as well as he'd hope as he was soon mocked over his 'pathetic' attempt. Jak Aitcheson, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, looked happy and relaxed before tucking into it in Brit bar Uncle Ron's in the Spanish resort on Sunday (6 Jul). The belly buster challenge fry up, which has a success rate of just 3%, consists of four sausages, four slices of bacon, four fried eggs and four hash browns. It also comes with four pieces of toast and fried bread, six tomatoes, half a large tin of baked beans and 10 mushrooms. The 2,760-calorie breakfast costs just €9 (£7.70) but has to be eaten in 20 minutes in order for someone to say they've successfully beaten the challenge, the challenge's rules reads. Jak was soon slumping his chair, looking defeated and dejected afterwards, as he accepted his defeat, with his plate looking almost just as full as it had at the start of the challenge. Photos of Jak were soon shared onto Uncle Ron's social media page, where several fellow Brits soon took to the comment section to point out that he'd barely made a dent in his breakfast meal. 'What did he eat? The butter off the toast?' one user asked, while another person said: 'Jak, pathetic. Stick to your warm milk and a rusk from now on.' A third user wrote: 'Bet that third bean pushed him over the edge.' Meanwhile, another person asked: 'Did he just shuffle some beans around?' 'He finished with more food than he started with," another person jokingly said. A sixth person added: 'I've seen seagulls dive-bombing for chips that take larger amounts.' Thankfully for Jak, at least one person rushed to his defence, as they wrote: "In all fairness, the fried bread, chips, and huge amount of toast would stop most in their tracks." Jak seemed to take the ribbing in good spirits. He went on to say that he'd nodded off mid-challenge and that his friend Dean had sneakily piled his leftovers onto his plate. 'I've still not been to sleep since Wednesday night, lost about two stone, and I'm famous on the strip for eating three beans," Jak said.
