Surprising new report shows most common way visitors get injured at Disney World... and it can happen to ANYONE

When you go to Disney World you expect the worst of your injuries to be sore feet from all the walking or maybe some sunburn. No one can anticipate a serious injury at the Happiest Place on Earth, especially if they're in overall good health. But according to a new report, there's a surprising way that people have gotten hurt at the beloved theme park, and it could easily happen to anyone. Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services recently released data that detailed every single injury report from theme parks in Orlando, Florida, from the last year, including Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Legoland. The information revealed that a number of guests at Disney World have been injured by simply tripping while getting on or off a ride. On April 22, 2025, the report said that a Disney World attendee fell while exiting Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and 'injured her right leg.' And on March 31, 2025, another guest plummeted while getting off the Mad Tea Party ride and 'injured her leg.' In addition, on January 17, 2025, a person took a spill while getting off the Frozen Ever After ride and 'injured her ankle,' while someone hurt their hip due to a fall while exiting the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel on November 21, 2024. A similar incident occurred on Journey of the Little Mermaid on October 4, 2024, and again on the Tomorrowland Speedway on August 18, 2024. In total, there were six injuries all from people taking tumbles while getting on or off ride vehicles in the last year. Last September, the theme park made headlines when a five-year-old boy, named Ernesto, suffered from a cardiac event during the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride. Around 20 seconds into the ride, his mom Christine Tagle said in a Facebook post that the youngster passed out, and 'through the whole ride she couldn't wake him up.' The panicked mother said she 'screamed for help' as soon as the rollercoaster ended, as staff members sprang into action and shocked him with an automated external defibrillator (AED). First responders arrived at the scene and continued CPR efforts, until Ernesto was taken to hospital via helicopter, his father added in a post to Instagram. Thankfully, Ernesto survived the terrifying ordeal, which his parents said was down to the quick thinking of his mother, staff members, an off-duty EMT couple and paramedics. Following 'test after test' to determine why Ernesto passed out on the ride, it was later found that he suffers from a genetic heart condition - catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia, or CTVT - that flared up during their family trip to Disney World. Thankfully, based on the new report, that seems to be the most dramatic event to occur at Disney World in the last year. Other recent reported injuries at Disney World include a guest who felt faint after riding Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, someone who experienced shortness of breath following Peter Pan's Flight, and a rider on Alien Swirling Saucers who had seizure-like symptoms. In addition, an 87-year-old guest with an undisclosed pre-existing condition lost consciousness after riding Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom. There were also reports of arm pain, abdominal pain, and chest pain, as well as multiple guests complaining of nausea. The takeaway is - make sure you're extra careful when getting on and off the rides next time you're at Disney World. Daily Mail has contacted Disney World for comment.

The haunted house will walk guests through realms ruled by Uncle Howdy, Ramblin Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch and Huskus the Pig Boy. Halloween Horror Nights Welcomes ‘Five Nights At Freddy's' And WWE

Halloween Horror Nights unleashes all-new haunted house 'Five Nights at Freddy's.' Iconic titans of terror, Five Nights at Freddy's and WWE's The Wyatt Sicks, are heading to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. The immersive houses for both massive IPs will feature at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort. Fans of Five Nights at Freddy's, or FNAF as it is also known, will venture through an all-new haunted house inspired by the 2023 hit film, following in the footsteps of Mike, played by Josh Hutcherson in the movie, after he take as the night security guard in the abandoned themed entertainment center, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. That's where terrifying chaos ensues. As brave ticket holders find their way through the corridors, they quickly learn that nothing is what it seems. As they move through the building, they will "encounter the supernatural and become lured into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare," coming face-to-face with full-scale replicas of the eerie characters from the film - Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and Mr. Cupcake. They will stalk guests as they pass through recreations of classic scenes and locations such as the security room and the showroom where the characters performed. Much like Xanathar in the Dungeons and Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep experience during Universal Studios Hollywood's inaugural Fan Fest Nights, FNAF's larger-than-life characters have been created in collaboration with Jim Henson's Creature Shop. They also masterfully produced the animatronics and costumes for the fan-favorite film, so it doesn't get more authentic than that. Blumhouse's Five Nights at Freddy's movie, based on another widely popular videogame IP that inspired a hit movie, grossed $291.49 million at the worldwide box office in 2023. The sequel will land in theaters on Friday, December 5, 2025. WWE Enters The Halloween Horror Nights Ring When fans have taken a break after scaring themselves silly in Five Nights at Freddy's, they can head to WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks. That's where they will "go head-to-head with Uncle Howdy in an experience that not only features The Wyatt Sicks but honors the legacy of Bray Wyatt." Fans will already be aware of this, but for those who aren't, with its portrayal of dark and twisted characters, the five-strong crew has quickly emerged as one of the most disturbing and disruptive groups in WWE history. Those nightmarish figures are going to manifest at Halloween Horror Nights this spooky season. According to a release, "horror fans brave enough to travel through the light of the lantern will find themselves transported into the maniacal minds of The Wyatt Sicks, where each member reigns supreme within their horrific domains." "There, Uncle Howdy, together with Ramblin' Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch, and Huskus the Pig, will be waiting to take bloody retribution on a world that has abandoned them. Along the way, guests will be stalked by the eerie presence of The Fiend, Bray's sadistic alter ego, who looms within the shadows and beckons them to let him in." Five Nights at Freddy's and WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks are the final two haunted houses to be announced for this year's bicoastal event. Both join an incredibly strong offering that fans are already predicting will be a vintage year for the seasonal scarefest that traditionally draws visitors from around the world. Nightmares Come Alive At Halloween Horror Nights Among the previously announced nightmarish experiences is a blood-soaked haunted house inspired by the gory Terrifier film franchise. It'll feature supernatural entity Art the Clown terrorizing the fictional town of Miles County, New York, and torturing his victims in creative but cruel and "sickeningly sinister ways." Promising "an unfathomable level of gore," guests can expect "a grisly haunted house oozing with a new sense of terror." Elsewhere, legendary slasher icon Jason Voorhees is the star of Jason Universe, which sees the seemingly indestructible killer from the Friday the 13th franchise get his own haunted house at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. The all-original experience will take guests back on "a vengeance tour through the summer camp to see where it all began, from the creaking floorboards of Jason's ramshackle cabin to the decaying main lodge and the eerie forest that offers no refuge for his victims." Also featuring at this year's Halloween Horror Nights is a house inspired by Fallout, Prime Video's acclaimed smash hit show. Ahead of the series' second season premiere, the immersive Fallout attraction will transport fans into iconic scenes and put them face-to-face with their characters on a journey from Vault 33 to the Wasteland. Terror returns in 'Scarecrow: Music by Slash' and 'Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America' at ... More Universal Studios Hollywood. Fan Favorites Get A Terrifying Refresh At Halloween Horror Nights In Hollywood In terms of original mazes not based on IPs, two fan-favorite mazes evolve this year. At Universal Studios Hollywood, 2022's Scarecrow: The Reaping gets a revamp and a new name, returning as Scarecrow: Music by Slash. Set to a soundtrack created by the rock icon, his seventh consecutive year providing a score for a Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights haunted house, Mother Nature "seeks vengeance on the homesteaders for their sins of the past that will be carried out by farmland scarecrows, mute witnesses who have become the guardians of destruction for anyone who crosses their path." Meanwhile, La Llorona headlines the final entry in a trilogy of terror, Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America, a haunted house with a narrative based on Latin American folklore. In addition to the legendary Weeping Woman, the Colombian female boogeyman, the sharp-toothed La Muelona, and the horse-headed La Siguanaba will also feature to scare the bejesus out of visitors. We're now in gushing distance of Halloween Horror Nights. It kicks off at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 4, 2025. However, Universal Orlando Resort gets the ball rolling a little earlier on Friday, August 29, 2025. Tickets are now on sale.

‘Waterworld' turns 30: Hollywood flop to cult classic — and its forgotten Oscar nomination

Waterworld, the famously soggy epic starring Kevin Costner and directed by Kevin Reynolds, turns 30 today. Released on July 28, 1995, the film remains one of the most notorious Hollywood productions of its era, making waves for its astronomical budget and behind-the-scenes turmoil. Dubbed "Kevin's Gate" by the press, it faced a storm of negative attention long before audiences ever set sail. But in the three decades since its debut, Waterworld has gone from box-office cautionary tale to cult classic, with a devoted fan base, a legacy in live entertainment, and even a surprising brush with Oscar gold. Set in a post-apocalyptic future where the polar ice caps have melted and Earth is submerged in water, Waterworld follows a mysterious drifter known as the Mariner (Costner), a gill-sporting loner navigating a flooded wasteland of floating cities, pirates, and mythical dry land. The film was one of the most expensive movies ever made at the time, with a bloated budget of $175 million — an astronomical figure in the mid-'90s — and plagued by production issues ranging from storms that destroyed sets to on-set tension and endless rewrites. Critics were lukewarm at best, and audiences were initially cool to the film's dark tone and unconventional premise. Opening to a $21 million weekend at the box office, Waterworld was quickly labeled a flop. Although it eventually earned back its budget through strong international sales and home video revenues, the damage to its reputation had already been done. Today, Waterworld is viewed with fresh eyes — part environmental warning, part ambitious sci-fi Western, part misunderstood gem. What was once mocked for its bloated budget and outlandish premise is now appreciated for its practical effects, world-building, and relentless creativity. The film's stunt work and set design, once buried under headlines about delays and dollar signs, are now cited as examples of bold, big-swing filmmaking that would be nearly impossible in today's CGI-heavy studio landscape. What many people have forgotten — or never knew — is that Waterworld was nominated for an Academy Award. At the 68th Oscars in 1996, it earned a nomination for Best Sound, alongside Apollo 13, Batman Forever, Braveheart, and Crimson Tide. It didn't win — Apollo 13 took the statue — but the nomination was a nod to the film's impressive audio design, which brought the crashing waves, roaring jet skis, and chaotic seafaring battles to immersive life. Even more enduring than its Oscar nod is Waterworld 's presence at Universal Studios. The Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular stunt show, launched the same year as the film, has outlasted many of Universal's most beloved attractions. With explosions, jet-ski stunts, and death-defying leaps, the live show has become a fan favorite and a testament to the film's lasting entertainment value. It continues to draw massive crowds in Hollywood, Japan, and Singapore, proving that while the film may have floundered financially, its spectacle has stood the test of time. On its 30th anniversary, Waterworld lives on as more than just "the movie that cost too much." It's a case study in Hollywood ambition, a cult favorite revered for its practical ingenuity, and a cheeky punchline-turned-point-of-pride that stands as a reminder of what happens when filmmakers swing for the fences. Looking back, perhaps Waterworld was never a disaster — it was simply ahead of its time.

Did The Summer I Turned Pretty star Gavin Casalegno cheat on Larsen Thompson before marrying Cheyanne? Fans compare him to Jeremiah

The Summer I Turned Pretty fans are giving Gavin Casalegno the side-eye, as his off-screen love life seems to mirror his on-screen persona a little too closely. Known for playing the charming but emotionally messed Jeremiah Fisher, Gavin has now found himself at the centre of real-life relationship rumours, with fans pointing out just how much his personal life is beginning to resemble the drama unfolding in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3. Gavin Casalegno and Larsen Thompson's relationship Gavin Casalegno and Larsen Thompson were that low-maintenance, soft-launch couple everyone quietly rooted for. They started dating in early 2017—Gavin was still in his pre-TSITP era and Larsen already a runway regular with her signature red hair and killer dance videos. Their relationship had all the markers of a long-haul romance: sweet Valentine's posts, prom pics in 2019, anniversary tributes, and even a surprise Universal Studios birthday visit where Gavin jokingly 'proposed' with a Hershey's Kiss. For six years, they served quiet stability, showing up for each other on carpets and in cozy social media slideshows. Then 2022 happened. There was no official breakup statement, but the signs were all there—deleted posts, unfollows, and a noticeable absence from each other's feeds. Their last known public appearance was at New York Fashion Week in February 2022, and by August, it was clear something had shifted. Fans were stunned. After six years of being each other's constants, the silence felt louder than any messy breakup ever could. Cheyanne King and Gavin's marriage shocked fans Just months after the split with Larsen Thompson, Gavin Casalegno surfaced on Cheyanne King's social media, even before fans knew they were dating. Then in November 2024, came the surprise: an Instagram wedding dump announcing they'd tied the knot. The speed shocked fans. Some Reddit users pointed to on-set behaviour during The Summer I Turned Pretty production, as rumours of Gavin flirting with extras and potentially forming romantic connections before the marriage stirred debate. While none of these claims were confirmed, the overlap in timelines—the relationship ended, rumours emerged, then a new private union—made social media quick to call it shady. Fans now see Gavin as a mirror of his on-screen persona Jeremiah The drama got juicier when The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 revealed Jeremiah cheating on Belly. Fans couldn't help but draw parallels: onscreen Jeremiah breaks trust; real-life Gavin allegedly had overlapping ties while still 'publicly' single. Recently, a video highlighting Gavin and Cheyyane's twisted relationship timeline made its way online, and fans couldn't help but point out how their quick marriage reminded them of Jeremiah. One user wrote, "Damn, he gets more and more like Jeremiah every day." Another user shared an interesting observation, writing, "He played a younger version of Damon in TVD. Both Ian and Gavin are problematic when it comes to relationships, apparently. Ian was obsessive about marriage as well. Apparently, Gavin is following in his footsteps. Both Damons are trouble." "He sucks in the show and in real life? WOw," one shared. While these speculations have been circulating online, there's no confirmation to back them up. As of now, Gavin and Cheyenne appear to be going strong in their marriage. The couple recently bought their first home together, a milestone Cheyenne proudly shared on her social media, and they continue to look happy and settled in this new chapter of their lives.
