Comviva partners with University of Southampton Delhi to empower tech talent in India
NEW DELHI , May 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Comviva , a global leader in customer experience and data monetization solutions, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Southampton Delhi. Through this partnership, Comviva and the University of Southampton Delhi aim to co-develop strategic initiatives focused on talent development, collaborative innovation, and community impact. The engagement will create enriched learning opportunities for students at the University's Delhi campus by enabling them to work on cutting-edge digital technologies and real-world business challenges. As part of the agreement, Comviva will lead a series of structured engagements throughout the academic year, including drop-in sessions for student interaction, employer talks to share insights on industry trends and career paths, skill development workshops to equip students with practical competencies. The University of Southampton has established its Indian campus at the International Tech Park in Gurgaon, with the first cohort of students due to start in August. With this move, the University of Southampton has become the first international university to set up a campus in India under the country's new higher education framework. The initial offerings will be undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business, computing, economics and finance. Over the coming years, the course offering will expand significantly, to include engineering, healthcare, art and design, social sciences and science and technology. The partnership with Comviva was facilitated by the India Business Group, a leading strategic advisory consultancy that has been assisting the University of Southampton with stakeholder engagement for its India campus. University of Southampton Delhi, Cambridge International Education to launch scholarships award for A-level graduates
The University of Southampton Delhi on Thursday announced the Cambridge Scholarship Awards as part of a new collaboration with the International Education group of Cambridge University Press & Assessment, the international education wing of the University of Cambridge, aimed at expanding opportunities for Indian students pursuing international qualifications. As part of the partnership, the university will introduce up to four exclusive competitive scholarships for Cambridge A-Level graduates in India. The scholarships will be available to students applying for the varsity's August 2025 intake. Each selected recipient will receive a flat tuition fee contribution of Rs 2.20 lakh for the 2025–2026 academic year, and applicants will be evaluated by the university's Scholarship Committee based on their academic performance and A-level results. The initiative also includes a waiver of application fees for all Cambridge students applying between May 1 and May 31, 2025. Additionally, to offer a faster and more streamlined admissions process, Cambridge-affiliated applicants will have their submissions reviewed by a dedicated evaluation team. Commenting on this joint venture, Dr Vishal Talwar, the chief operating officer of University of Southampton Delhi said, 'Cambridge A-Level graduates bring a solid academic foundation and international outlook, making them a perfect fit for the opportunities and career pathways at our university. Through this association, we aim to empower the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the skills and resources needed to thrive on the global stage,' he added. Vinay Sharma, Sr. VP International Education, South Asia, Cambridge, said that the initiative would provide Cambridge students in India direct access to a world-class academic experience without leaving the country. Cambridge is opening new pathways to international education and ensuring that our students are ready for the world,' he said. International Education group is responsible for qualifications such as the Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level. Cambridge currently operates across 810 schools in India. University of Southampton is among the Top 125 institutions worldwide for employability in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022.
