Marshall has introduced the Kilburn III, its newest portable Bluetooth speaker, seven years after launching the second-generation model. The latest speaker brings significant upgrades, including a battery that runs for more than 50 hours on a full charge. This duration more than doubles the playtime offered by its predecessor. Let's take a closer look at its specifications and what the new speaker has to offer. The Marshall Kilburn III offer a 360-degree sound using a 4-inch woofer and two 2-inch full-range speakers. The audio system is driven by one 30W Class D amplifier for the woofer and two 10W Class D amplifiers for the full-range drivers. It claims to reach a sound pressure level of up to 91 dB SPL at a distance of one meter. A bass reflex system supports the low-end output. The cabinet is designed to deliver stereo sound without blind spots, as per the company. For those who prefer a wired connection, a 3.5 mm AUX input is also included. The supported audio codecs are SBC, LC3, and MPEG-2 AAC. The device does not include any built-in microphones. Control features are positioned on the top panel. Users can adjust volume, bass, treble, and toggle power. The panel also has buttons for media control, Bluetooth pairing, and mode selection. A USB-C port allows the speaker to charge other devices, which also effectively functions as a power bank. It uses a rechargeable and replaceable battery. When using a 30W USB-C PD charger, a 20-minute charge will deliver up to 8 hours of playtime. According to the company, it takes around three hours to fully charge the speaker. It supports power inputs of USB-C 9V/3A and 5V/3A. The speaker's dimensions measure 273 x 150 x 169 mm, and it weighs 2.8 kg. Buyers can choose between Black and Brass or Cream colour options. French technology company Alcatel, on Tuesday, May 27, launched its V3 line of smartphones for India. The V3 series includes three smartphones – V3 Ultra, V3 Pro, and V3 Classic. These are the first-ever smartphones to feature the patented NXTPAPER display technology powered by TCL. The devices come with a 4-in-1 display mode – Regular, Ink Paper, Colour Paper, and Max Ink Mode – that offers an unmatched visual experience. From vibrant colour reproduction to paper-like readability, the Alcatel smartphones accord a strain-free viewing experience. 'As we scale our presence in India, we remain deeply aligned with the 'Made in India' vision. By localising our manufacturing operations, we aim to enhance supply chain agility, ensure rigorous quality control, and contribute meaningfully to India's growing technology landscape. The Ultra V3 comes in Hyper Blue, Champagne Gold, and Ocean Grey colourways. When it comes to photography, the V3Ultra sports a 108 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera for versatile shooting. On the front, it features a 32 MP selfie camera with some built-in filters. One of the notable features includes Horizon Lock technology that allows for ultra-steady video on the go. The device also offers eSIM support. Meanwhile, the Alcatel V3 Pro and V3 Classic alsoå feature the NXTPaper display technology and up to 18 GB of RAM (10GB RAM expansion). A 5,200 mAh battery powers the phones, providing up to 26 days of standby time. The storage is expandable up to 2TB. The V3 Pro comes in Matcha Green and Metallic Grey. French consumer electronics brand Alcatel has made its return in the Indian mobile phone market via a partnership with Nxtcell India. The three devices: Alcatel V3 Classic 5G, Alcatel V3 Pro 5G and Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G come with an LCD panel, 3.5mm headphone jack and IP54 water and dust resistance ratings. Alcatel V3 Classic 5G is priced at ₹ 12,999 for 4GB/128GB storage model and ₹ 14,999 for 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant. Alcatel V3 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at ₹ 17,999 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant. Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G is priced at ₹ 19,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant and ₹ 21,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant. All three variants in the Altacatel V3 series will go on sale from Flipkart starting 2 June. Alcatel V3 Classic comes with a 6.67 inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the V3 Pro also comes in the 6.67 inch form factor but with the NXTPAPER technology. The V3 Ultra, on the other hand, comes with a 6.8 inch Full HD+ NXTPAPER display with support for stylus. Both the Pro and Ultra variants come with support for four display modes, Regular, Ink Paper, Max Ink and Colour Paper mode. Alcatel V3 Classic comes with a 50MP primary shooter with a QVGA depth sensor and an 8MP front facing shooter. The V3 Pro also comes with a similar setup with a 5MP ultra-wide angle lens instead. Meanwhile, the V3 Ultra comes with a triple camera setup with a 108MP primary shooter, 5MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The selfie shooter comes with a 32MP lens.

French mobile handsets brand Alcatel on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) entered into Indian smartphone market through licensee partner NxtCell and launched three new smartphones: Alcatel V3 Classic, V3 Pro and V3 Ultra. These smartphones will be manufactured by Dixon's subsidiary Padget Electronics in India. Alcatel said it targets young consumers in India by offering them a unique proposition which is not being offered by other smartphone brands in the country. Alcatel will sell the V3 series through Flipkart and the sale is expected to commence from June 2. The after-sales of these phones will also be handled by Flipkart-owned Jeeves in over 300 cities in India, as said by the brand.
