Official: Milinkovic-Savic completes Napoli transfer for 21.5m
Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has completed his transfer to Napoli on loan with obligation to buy for a reported total fee of €21.5m. The goalkeeper arrived this morning for his medical tests and was given the all clear. Although he had a release clause in his contract set at €20m, Napoli agreed to pay a slightly higher fee in order to have the option of spreading out the payment over several instalments. That is why this is a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. VMS has 146 Serie A appearances, keeping 45 clean sheets, and has 19 senior caps for Serbia. He will be competing for the gloves at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona with Alex Meret.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has arrived in Rome at the Villa Stuart clinic for the medical ahead of his move from Torino to Napoli. Yesterday, we covered reports confirming that an agreement had been reached between all parties for the transfer and now the Serbian goalkeeper looks set to complete his move to Antonio Conte's side, pending today's medical test. Napoli About to Finalize Double Deal with Torino
Napoli have captured Vanja Milinkovic-Savic from Torino, while Cyril Ngonge will go the other way around. The Partenopei were eager to sign another quality goalie to deputize and potentially challenge Alex Meret. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Azzurri won't activate the Serb's €19M release clause. Instead, they'll shell out €22.5M in exchange for a more diluted payment structure. After multiple loan spells, he's been the starter for the last four campaigns and was particularly brilliant in the past two. He has appeared 158 times with the Granata, allowing 163 goals and keeping 52 clean sheets. Milinkovic-Savic was one of the early names on the Napoli radar for the position. They haven't been really close to other goalies this summer. Instead, Ngonge is transferring on an initial loan with a €1M fee and a €18M option to buy. The Scudetto winners signed him from Verona for €20M two years ago, but he never hit his stride in Campania, where he was buried on the depth chart. He's reuniting with coach Marco Baroni. Torino have already identified their next starter between the sticks: Franco Israel from Sporting CP. They'll onboard him for €4/5M. He's a Juventus youth product and starred numerous times in their Next Gen squad before moving to Portugal. The Bianconeri will get half of the fee thanks to a resale clause. Our Take on Napoli Adding Milinkovic-Savic They were determined to bring in another reliable option, and the biggest hurdle was convincing him, but he's overqualified to be a backup, and it's debatable whether he's at the level to rival Meret, plus he has already hit his ceiling. Still, if Ngonge fares well, it'll turn out to be a delayed swap for a player they weren't using.

Napoli ready to sing Milinkovic-Savic from Torino
Napoli are close to securing the services of Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, while the Granata have prioritised the purchase of Cyril Ngonge and Gaetano Oristanio in attack. Milinkovic-Savic close to joining Napoli Serbia international Milinković-Savić is on the verge of joining Napoli from Torino. The 28-year-old has already reached a complete agreement with the Partenopei and the next meeting between Napoli and Torino will likely determine his move to the Stadio Maradona. At the same time, Napoli striker Ngonge is expected to join the Granata. The Belgian is a former striker of Marco Baroni at Hellas Verona. Torino clear priorities in attack Ngonge has been a priority target for Torino throughout the summer, alongside Venezia's Gaetano Oristanio. Torino have prioritised the signing of these two attacking wingers even if they could add a third one later during the current transfer window. At the same time, Sporting CP Franco Israel is one of the top Torino targets to replace Milinkovic-Savic, as Football Italia exclusively reported earlier this week. On the other hand, Napoli have been pretty busy in the transfer market, signing Kevin De Bruyne, Luca Marianucci, Noa Lang, Lorenzo Lucca and Sam Beukema.
