Hyundai Records 7.63 % YoY Decline In May'25, Sells 58,701 Units
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded total monthly sales of 58,701 units in May 2025, comprising domestic sales of 43,861 units and export sales of 14,840 units. During the same month last year, Hyundai Motor India managed to sell 63,551 units that included 49,151 unit sales in the domestic market and export sales of 14,400 units. This indicates that Hyundai has suffered a 7.63 percent decline in YoY sales in May 2025. However, the positive news is that the brand registered a 3.06 percent growth in export sales, compared to May'24. Commenting on HMIL sales, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL, said, "HMIL's total sales volume for May 2025 stood at 58,701 units. May is a month of our routine week-long biannual maintenance shutdown at our Chennai manufacturing facility, which affects the availability of a few critical models. We continue to witness consistent growth in our exports volume, and this is a testament to the 'Make in India, Made for the World' philosophy that we passionately uphold. Going forward, we remain hopeful of a steady increase in demand for both domestic as well as international shipments with reduced uncertainty on the geo-political front and improved macro-economic situation." If we consider the Month-on-Month data, Hyundai sold 44,374 units in the domestic market in April'25, suggesting it suffered a 1.16 percent decline in May 2025. Though Hyundai is suffering from a decline, the brand has registered a positive response from the Creta. The Hyundai Creta has been the top-selling SUV for the past few months, which is likely to fuel more sales in the coming months. Also, Hyundai is planning to launch the updated avatar of the Venue with new features, safety upgrades, and more.

Inside empty bar and restaurant in popular city suburb now going to auction
Once a popular place to meet, drink and potentially eat, the Venue bar and restaurant, formerly known as Miss Jones, on Cardiff's Whitchurch high street is going under the hammer. But anyone who lives in the area or visits this welcoming suburban high street regularly will tell you that the site has had many reincarnations as an eatery and a quick rummage around on google street view back to 2008 reveals that at that time the site was a third less in size, with a co-operative travel shop occupying next door, and was called The Village Diner & Brasserie. In 2009 the google van drove past again and snapped the property now called The Village Kitchen & Bar, but in 2014 it had changed to Miss Jones and the co-op travel shop unit next door was empty. By September of the next year, 2015, this extra space where the co-op had been was absorbed into the Miss Jones establishment. Then there were rumours that The Potting Shed would be opening at the venue, with their Facebook group actively posting in 2018 that this was the case. But that did not seem to materialise. The site began to become rundown and a pigeon-infested eye-sore, much to local residents' dismay, until in October 2018 we reported that The Irish Bar Group had earmarked the location for the first of three new Jack Russell's bars & kitchens coming to Cardiff. The Whitchurch site would be the first to open after a £1m investment and refurbishment project. But back to google street view in October 2022 and the site has again changed, Jack Russells is gone and an establishment called Venue, offering food, bar and garden terrace appeared in its place but that too has ceased trading, the site is now closed and about to go to online auction with Seel & Co with an opening bid guide price of £450,000 from noon, Monday June 9 to 4.21pm on Tuesday 10 June, call 029 2037 0117 to find out more. New Hyundai Venue Spied; Pics Reveal New Design Details
Hyundai is preparing the new generation of Venue for its launch. If reports are to be trusted, this event might be scheduled in the upcoming festive season. As we are moving closer to the launch of the vehicle, the spy shots of the SUV surfacing on the internet are becoming more frequent. In the latest update, the pictures of the test mule reveal the design of the front fascia as it will appear on the production version of the SUV. Based on the pictures, the new-gen Hyundai Venue comes with an exterior that is in sync with the brand's new design language. Specifically, lightning follows a pattern that we have seen on the Creta. Along with the DRLs, the SUV gets vertically-stacked rectangular headlamps with a dual-chamber LED reflector. It gets an inverted L-shaped DRL on the side. Another similar element is the presence of an LED strip covering the width of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the silhouette of the SUV is mostly the same as its predecessor. However, there are a few changes in the placement of the body cladding. Furthermore, the ORVM comes with a sharper appearance and a different design for the roof rails. Similar to the exterior, the interior of the next-gen Hyundai Venue is expected to get an upgrade with a new layout for the dashboard, upholstery, and an extended list of features. The list might include elements like ambient lighting, ventilated seats, ADSA, six-airbags, a bigger infotainment screen, and more. Once launched, the next-gen Hyundai Venue will hold its fort against models like Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, and others.

After taking the market by storm with the current version of Venue, Hyundai is now gearing up to step up the game in the segment by bringing the New Gen avatar. The company has not revealed the launch details as yet. However, all the spy shots, viral testing images and videos somehow hint that the official release is just around the corner. Recently, a test mule has been spied in Pune with state registration plates. This suggests that the company might produce the future New Gen Venue at its new facility in Talegaon near Pune. It is expected to operate the full production later this year. Here's What Spy Images Says As per the recent spy images, the upcoming Venue has been spotted in heavy camouflage, revealing some of the important updates and key features. Going by the viral photos, the model flaunts a fresh front facia, who looks a bit inspired by the company's latest offering, Exter. The front grill shows the Hyundai logo on top with an improved bumper and skid plate at the front. These elements somewhat give Creta N Line vibe, making it more aesthetic than ever.
