Fahadh Faasil Reveals How Rajinikanth Made Him Fall In Love With Tamil Cinema

Fahadh Faasil has been in awe since working with his childhood hero Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan in 2024. Directed by Sudheesh Shankar, Fahadh Faasil is once again back on the big screens today with Maareesan with Vadivelu. This captivating road trip story follows an unlikely duo on a life-changing journey from Nagercoil to Coimbatore, with a stop in Tiruvannamalai. Fahadh plays a thief who sets his sights on Vadivelu's cash-filled bag, but their adventure takes an unexpected turn, transforming their lives forever. With its gentle and emotional tone, Maareesan promises to be a cinematic experience like no other. However, the journey takes an unexpected turn when Fahadh Faasil is stuck travelling with Vadivelu, whose out-of-context remarks and memory lapses lead to a series of events that alter their lives. Fahadh Faasil On His First Tamil Film Experience In a candid conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Fahadh Faasil recalled his first Tamil film experience, which dates back to his college days. 'The first Tamil film I watched after bunking my college class was 'Baasha,' starring Rajini sir. Every scene in the film is beautifully crafted. I especially liked the scene where Thangachi gets college admission," recalled Fahadh Faasil, fondly sharing his admiration for Rajinikanth's iconic film. 'In that scene, when he says, 'I got admission,' and his sister asks, the way Rajini sir says, 'I told the truth,' in a close-up shot, really amazed me. I was surprised by how he acted as if he was talking to the audience," he added. Fahadh Faasil also shared that he had learned Tamil through Tamil friends from Coimbatore and had enjoyed many Tamil films. Furthermore, he also opened up about working with Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan, saying, 'TJ Gnanavel approached me about playing a different role in the film Vettaiyan at the very beginning. But I chose the role of Patrick because I clicked with it after hearing the story. Since this decision was a last-minute change for TJ Gnanavel, he had to make some changes. I didn't want the story to affect me, so I went with it as written," he said. Fahadh Faasil also mentioned that in-person conversations help him decide which roles he'll take on. On the work front, Fahadh Faasil recently had his latest release, Maareesan, with Vadivelu. He has several upcoming films, including Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, Don't Trouble The Trouble, Patriot and Karate Chandran. Who is Heisenberg, Tamil cinema's anonymous lyricist? Here's an interesting clue

Imagine a mystery lyricist in the Tamil film industry, who is known only by his name. Apart from a handful of people, no one has really seen him. The lyricist in question goes by the pen name Heisenberg, who has contributed lyrics to Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo', Jr NTR's 'Devara: Part 1' and Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan'. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and composer Anirudh Ravichander have worked with Heisenberg on their films. Apart from them, no one from the outside world knows who Heisenberg is or has seen a recent interview, director Lokesh Kanagaraj dropped a big clue about who Heisenberg could be. He rubbished rumours that this was not a robot but an actual person who had written lyrics (mostly in English) in 'Leo' and 'Devara'.So, who is Heisenberg?'Bloody Sweet' number from Vijay's 'Leo', composed by Anirudh Ravichander, became a chartbuster. During the song's release, Anirudh was asked how was it working with the lyricist. He said, "I spoke to him over the phone. Lokesh Kanagaraj is the only one who has seen him in person." During a conversation with Galatta Plus, Lokesh Kanagaraj opened up about the mystery lyricist. "Actually, I saw him [Heisenberg] first and I made Ani [Anirudh] meet him as well. He knows him as well. But, we don't want to blow his cover. And let it continue," he explained. When asked if Heisenberg was a real person, Lokesh agreed and said, "It is not a robot, there is a real person." He further clarified that it wasn't him or Anirudh going by the name 'Coolie' director further added, "Heisenberg is an actual person. It's a name we gave to him. I'll give you a clue. If you have seen 'Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu', you will know the answer."This clue has left Tamil cinema fans curious. The particular clip from the interview is now going viral, and Internet users have started to decode who Heisenberg could be. The guesses range from Kamal Haasan, Nelson Dilipkumar and S Ve Shekhar among a look at some of the reactions: But, this isn't the first time that the identity of an artist has been kept hidden in Tamil 2017, director Gauthem Menon kept the music composer of his film, 'Enai Noki Paayum Thota', a secret. The first single, 'Maruvaarthai', which topped the charts, referred to the composer as Mr X. While the makers kept the secret for many months, it was later revealed that it was Darbuka Siva who composed the an interview with The Indian Express, Siva said, "I'm not at all sure how to react when the spotlight is trained on me. In fact, we came up with the idea of Mr X only to take the focus away from me. I even wondered if Gautham was taking a big gamble by choosing me as the lyricist."He also spoke about how he would have felt 'cool' if his name wasn't credited at all. "I wish we'd never gone ahead and announced my name. Imagine if people, about 50 years later, still didn't know who composed the music for this film. That would have been quite cool, no?," he the identity of Mr X couldn't be kept a secret, will Heisenberg remain a mystery lyricist for long? Only time will tell.- Ends
